Revival starts with us!!
I have heard it said: that we have never had any such thing in history as a prayerless revival.
God says, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV).
If you are like me, I am looking at the problems in our world and in our nation today, the list is large and we might want to point at different individuals. Lets look at where God points when a nation breaks down spiritually and morally. God is saying, “It is my people. If my people would live as they ought to live, it would impact a nation. My people need to humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways.”
We have to pray, even more than that there must be repentance from all known sin. We have to turn from our wicked ways. Prayer makes no difference if we have known, unconfessed sin in our lives.
The scripture in Psalm 66 says“If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear” (Psalm 66:18 NKJV). The word Regard means to “hold on to” or “cling to.” Isaiah 59 tells us, “The Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear” (verses 1–2 NKJV).
Praying while having known sin is like disconnecting to the power source,Like disconnecting from the Power of Heaven. Like picking up an uncharged mobile phone, there is no power to make a call.
We can talk to God all day, but is there sin in our lives that is preventing a connection? There are different kinds of sin. There are sins of commission, which is doing what we shouldn’t do. Then there are sins of omission, which is not doing what we should do.
If you say no to God, that can be a sin of omission, because the Bible says, “Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it” (James 4:17 NLT). Turn from that sin. Turn from that wickedness. Until you do, praying isn’t going to help.
Do you need Revival? Do you want to see Revival? Revival starts within You, What is in your life that shouldn't be , what aren't doing that you should be?
Revival is personal. I think one of the best definitions of it comes from Charles Finney, who said that revival “is the renewal of the first love of Christians, resulting in the awakening and conversion of sinners to God.”
In the book of Revelation we find that Jesus commended the church of Ephesus for all the things it was doing right. This was an admirable church. It was a hardworking, discerning, faithful church. But despite their impressive track record, there was a problem with these believers, which Jesus pointed out: “Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works” (Revelation 2:4–5 NKJV).
“You have left your first love,” Jesus was saying. “You don’t love Me as you did at first.”
Go back to the moment you first fell in Love with the Lord, Return to that moment, Stay close to that moment.
Notice that Jesus said, “You have left your first love” (emphasis mine). He didn’t say, “You have lost your first love.” The good news is that it still can be found.God promises that if we will pray and turn from our wicked ways and humble ourselves, he will heal us. That applies to a broken family. That applies to a church. And that applies to a nation.
God wants to send revival. But he would like us to participate. He’s saying, “I want you to turn from your wicked ways. I want you to humble yourself. I want you to pray. And I will hear from heaven.” That is a promise from God. When is the last time you prayed for our nation?
Much of our prayer has no power in it because there no heart in it. If we put so little heart into our prayers, then we cannot expect God to put much heart into answering them.
So we have two options before us: Revival or a closed heaven. Spiritual awakening or judgment. But remember that when God judges, he always starts with the church. The Bible tells us that judgment begins at the house of God (see 1 Peter 4:17). May it start with you. And may it start with me. The psalmist said, “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?” (Psalm 85:6 NKJV).
Let’s pray for revival. Let’s pray for our nation, that God will send a spiritual awakening. If people are going to come to faith, then it must start with us. Revival is for us. So let’s humble ourselves. Let’s pray. Let’s seek God and turn from our wicked ways. Let’s ask God to send an awakening to our nation, to the church, and to us as individuals.

Revelation Light
“Don’t be fooled by those who speak their empty words and deceptive teachings telling you otherwise. This is what brings God’s anger upon the rebellious! Don’t listen to them or live like them at all. Once your life was full of sin’s darkness, but now you have the very light of our Lord shining through you because of your union with him. Your mission is to live as children flooded with his revelation-light! And the supernatural fruits of his light will be seen in you—goodness, righteousness, and truth. Then you will learn to choose what is beautiful to our Lord. And don’t even associate with the servants of darkness because they have no fruit in them; instead, reveal truth to them. The very things they do in secret are too vile and filthy to even mention. Whatever the revelation-light exposes, it will also correct, and everything that reveals truth is light to the soul. This is why the Scripture says, “Arise, you sleeper! Rise up from your coffin and the Anointed One will shine his light into you!””

You have potential of God’s Power
You have the potential to operate in God’s power, I believe you need this declaration in your life. Understand who God says you are!!
Scripture:Colossians1:9-12
I want you to notice how Paul instructs us on the qualities that he sums up in verse 12 as being the inheritance. They are:
1.Being filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding
2.Walking in a manner worthy of the Lord
3.To please God in all respects
4.Bearing fruit in every good work
5.Increasing in the knowledge of God
6.Being strengthened with all power
7.Attaining all steadfastness and patience
8.Joyously giving thanks
When I first reviewed this list it struck me. This isn’t an inheritance, it’s a task list. I have be filled, I have to walk worthy, I have to please God, I have to bear fruit and so on. No wonder I have no power. But I felt God say to me, “No, you have it all wrong. This is a blessing that goes in this order. Now read this and hear what I [the Lord] am saying:”
“Be filled with the knowledge of my will with all spiritual wisdom and understanding and pursue it diligently. This is walking in a manner worthy of me and is according to my will and you will know what to do at all times. And when you do this, you will please me in all respects. And then you will bear much fruit. As you do, you will begin to increase in your knowledge of me, seeing how I work and you will then become strengthened with power. Having then attained steadfastness by working all things through in this way, in a patient manner, you will be able to joyously give me thanks because you will have persevered and your reward will be made full.”

Fight the Good Fight
1Timothy 6:12
Remember we walk with victory not to it!!
We as Christians can sometimes get tired of the constant battle that comes with our faith walk. I know from time to time I feel this way. However, we have been equipped to do battle and walk in victory. I also know that how I feel is irrelevant. I know that Jesus promised us He would never leave us or forsake us. He is always there whether we feel like it or not. Always!
We have been called into this army for a purpose, God’s purpose. His purpose is for us to walk as children of the light, and declare the good news of the Gospel wherever we go.
We have been called to fulfill the great commission as ambassadors for Christ.
We can’t do this without a fight. The enemy will try to stop us any way he can. He doesn’t have the authority to stop us, although he will sometimes hinder us through various means, but he can not stop us. We can not go through this kind of spiritual battle without experiencing what it is like to stand when all seems lost. This is when we must not get weary in your good fight of faith. This is why the Apostle Paul admonished Timothy. Fight the good fight of faith. A good fight is a fight that you win. That is why we must never give up. The stakes are too high. Quitting is not an option. To quit is to admit defeat.
We are not defeated regardless of what the circumstances may look like.
The Apostle Paul said my God always causes me to triumph in Christ Jesus.
We also must understand that soldiers must go into battle with the proper training and equipment. God will Equip us to do what he has called us to do. We are not be sent into battle as unprepared soldiers.
All soldiers have to go through a course of training before they receive an assignment. During this time they go through a very rigorous physical and mental time of training.
The sole purpose of this training is to get them ready and prepared to do their job, and be properly equipped to do whatever it takes to get the job done even under the harshest environments. Their very lives and the lives of their fellow soldiers can and will depend on them doing their jobs and doing them well. When you are in the service you don’t get to sleep whenever you want to, or do what ever you want to do whenever you want to do it. You belong to the military. You exercise when you are told and you sleep when you are told. Should not we as Christians take our Christian service just as serious? I’m not talking about some legalistic thing, but a serious attitude that we are in a fight to the finish and we are in this to win.

Certain Hope
“We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God himself. Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat which sits in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold,”
