I wasn't able to do it on my own. But when a friend came along side me, we accomplished the goal of running a 5K quick! My two big take-aways are i) There is strength in numbers. Surround yourself with a good team. Don’t even try to do life alone. ii) Putting my goal out there kept me accountable to myself.

In my view, to be successful in anything you need the following. good mentorship and a great work ethic. We don’t honor work ethic very much anymore. But it if you want to achieve success you better be willing to out work your competition. A shout to my mentors that have been a good influence to my success in the industry. The late Ben Acree, Jim Munson and Al Apuzzo. You can’t do it alone. You better surround yourself with a good team!

At the beginning of the year, I had a personal goal of dropping weight. As of June 14, I have failed in accomplishing that goal. So, I have decided to take a different approach. Now I am going to broadcast and disclose my next short-term goal to everyone. Let’s see how this approach works!

To anyone doing anything of significance be ready for the hecklers and haters. I personally embrace it. Be strong and of good courage! Do not be afraid nor be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go! Joshua chapter one verse six and nine.
