Part 2 of Wednesday night's bible study.

With the departure of Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve apostles, a vacancy emerged among the select group of individuals chosen by Jesus himself to lead and continue his ministry on earth.

Through the Lord's Supper, believers not only remember Jesus' sacrifice but also participate in the ongoing reality of the new covenant, experiencing the blessings and benefits of God's redemptive work in Christ.

In Acts, the narrative continues from where the Gospel of Luke left off, focusing on the activities of the early apostles, the spread of Christianity, and the work of the Holy Spirit in empowering believers to carry out the mission of Jesus.

The commission for witnessing is not a new initiative but a continuation of the ministry Jesus Himself began.

Jesus' triumph over sin and death through his death and resurrection brings victory to believers. They can overcome the struggles and challenges of life through the power of Christ.

Despite the celebratory atmosphere of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, there's an underlying tension and irony. Jesus enters as a humble king riding on a donkey, which contrasts sharply with the expectations of a conquering earthly king. This theme underscores the paradoxical nature of Jesus' kingship, which challenges conventional notions of power and authority.

In conclusion, Hebrews 10:1-13 exalts Jesus Christ as the perfect and eternal sacrifice who fulfills the requirements of the law and provides redemption for humanity. It emphasizes that through Christ's sacrifice, believers have been sanctified and reconciled to God.

Overall, the power of an annoyed church or believer, as depicted in Acts 16: underscores the spiritual authority and discernment given to Christians and their ability to confront spiritual challenges with faith and conviction.

Psalms 66 verses 8-15 emphasize praising God, remembering His powerful acts, and expressing personal gratitude for His intervention in your life.

It looked like Zacchaeus was looking for Jesus, but Jesus was looking for Zacchaeus.

Unity of labor ensures that everyone within the church is working towards the same goals and objectives, which are usually centered around spreading the message of God's love, caring for one another, and growing in faith. When everyone works together harmoniously, the church can effectively fulfill its purpose and mission.
