I've been pretty happy with the speed, print quality, and ease of use of the Elegoo Neptune printer. But, at times, it has struggled with laying down good first and second layers. One of the coolest adaptations of off-the-shelf tech that I've seen. The Cosaint Arms crew demonstrates using a Bambu Lab A1 printer with AMS to print a pistol grip in 2 materials. The inner blue layer is a structural thermoplastic with a higher melting point. The outer white layer is a thermoplastic with a much lower melting point. After printing the grip is soaked in a warm water bath that makes the white layer soft enough that it can be gripped to custom form the pistol grip to your hand.
