The Lawmen of The Galaxy S2 Ep2 - No More Rockets
A wave of protests sees the complete banning of all space travel, leaving the Lawmen grounded and unable to defend Earth. It's not long before aliens take advantage of the situation and set out to rob Earth of its gold. The Lawmen disobey orders and launch VM3 to intercept the attackers. But will this cost them their careers? Crap props and ridiculous aliens abound in our 1960s sci-fi pastiche...

Our 1960s sci-fi pastiche is here! The Lawmen, complete with cheesy lines, corny jokes and crap props fight evil in the galaxy. Set in 1964 but seeing the future from the perspective of that era, fans of 60s sci fi will get this. In this episode, the Lawmen are sent to overcome the semi visible Sullen who consume human memories….

Moonshadow (Yusuf/Cat Stevens)
This is my second cover from Yusuf’s excellent 1971 album Teaser and The Firecat, which was one of my most played albums as a teenager. Moonshadow is one of the first songs I taught myself to play on guitar, so brings back many happy memories.

C'Mon Everybody (Eddie Cochran)
I used to play this when I was with a rock band playing the pubs and clubs of the English Midlands with my brother back in the 80's. It was always a crowd pleaser. It was an amazingly powerful song for 1958 when Eddie Cochran released it and there is some great footage here on YouTube of him performing it at the time. A true classic!

A Picture of You (Joe Brown)
Released by Joe Brown in June 1962, "A Picture of You" was actually the "B" side of "A Lay-About's Lament", but it was to propel Joe to stardom and a career that continues to the 2020s. It's a great exaample of the pre-Beatles UK music scene.

TEZ S1 Ep4 She Loves You (Yeah, Yeah, Yeah)
Tez comes up with a ridiculous tale while attempting to chat up some women in the pub. He makes out that colleague Patrick's Dad (Tony) knew The Beatles and helped them complete one of their hits back in 1963. Needless to say neither the women or indeed Patrick believe a word of it.....

Come and Get It (Badfinger/Paul McCartney)
Paul McCartney wrote this song in 1969 and recorded a version of it where he played all of the instruments. He ended up passing the song over to a new band called The Iveys who were to become Badfinger, a highly talented but ill-fated band. "Come and Get It" went on to be a big hit for Badfinger in UK and US as well as elsewhere at the turn of the 60s into the 70s. I remember absolutely loving it!

Words of Love (Buddy Holly/Beatles)
This seemed the ideal song to upload on Valentine's Day! I first heard it on The Beatles 1964 "Beatles for Sale" album and loved it - especially the guitar work. It was only later that I heard Buddy Holly's 1957 original - proof of what a force for inovation he was.

TEZ S1 Ep2 F*** Me, Is That Natasha?
Tez appears in the London office of Larper & Boughwell (Commercial Lawyers) for a "dead important" "meeting" with Craig, a recent recruit. Boss lady, Natasha is clearly less than impressed to see Tez on a jaunt to London and gives him a serious bollocking. Jonathan and Patrick are not exactly sympathetic, especially given the nature of the "dead important meeting"...

Rex Waldron as Tez

Along with his chums, the psychopathic Mr Rollo Prattley and the delusional Mr Jeremiah Kinsella, we are "guided" through the history and events from some of the most significant battles in British history. Twist and Shout (Beatles, Isley Brothers)
I first heard this song when The Beatles released it in 1963 on their Please Please Me album. To a 7 year old, it sounded amazing and new and I was hooked. Then I heard The Isley Brothers version which the Fab Four so admired. I was hooked once again. This song always (to my ears) had a Latin feel and so I have brought that out in this version.
Cheers,
Rex
