DCDL

Description

Discovering Catholicism for Diverse Learners (DCDL), Sponsored by Peer to Peer Ministry is a faith-focused offshoot of Peer to Peer, which is a ministry of the Diocese of Lansing. The following individuals are invited to participate in Discovering Catholicism: *those with diagnosed special needs; *those who may not have any diagnosed special needs, but may have a nontraditional preferred learning style; *baptized or not; *seekers and doubters; *practicing Catholics who want to grow in their faith; *people who don't even want to become Catholic but just want to understand more about the faith of their Catholic spouse or friend; *Catholics who have fallen away and would like to return. Come explore the Catholic Faith in a non-judgmental setting. There is no pressure to join! Discovering Catholicism (DCDL) may provide a route for people to receive the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, First Eucharist, Confirmation) at their individual parishes. Participants who are interested in beginning a formal process to join the Catholic Church (a process called Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults [RCIA]), will need to be in communication and coordination with the learner’s parish RCIA director and Pastor. Facilitation may be provided upon request.
