Most beautiful and DANGEROUS travel location in Thailand
This is the most beautiful and dangerous tourist location I have ever seen in Thailand. So, be sure to keep an eye on your kids and make sure you don't slip on a cliff boulder.
Since I have started bringing my camera as my Thai wife, Angun and I take regular day trips, I have realized I have an incredible life in Thailand. As an American living in Thailand for over two years now, people have been incredibly nice and I feel like I live such a full life as a foreigner here.
Earlier, this year, in 2021, I started vlogging about my experience with a Thai wife and as a business owner in Thailand. Living in Thailand is not without challenges but overall I feel safer and like I can live a very fulfilling life here. I hope this VLOG shows it's like to Live in Thailand as an American in 2021!

The most ROMANTIC market in Thailand
Most foreigners never visit these places in Thailand. We are excited to take you to our next travel destination in our "Unseen Thailand" tour. Being an American with a Thai wife is never boring and Grapes had a great idea for our travel destinations today. We always try to bring you the latest Thailand Travel News by showing you what travel is like in 2021 by actually getting out and showing you.
The best way to experience Thailand is to get away from the other foreigners and visit the Local Thai travel destinations and that is what we did in this Thailand travel vlog. So, consider this a Thailand travel update and that things are returning to normal, especially for tourism in Northern Thailand.
Today join Robert and Grapes for a Thai travel destination normally visited by local tourists only. In the Loei province, Chiang Khan Thailand is a hidden gem! Travel with us and you will see why. The Chiang Khan Market is back in 2021, even though a checkpoint told us it was closed! The market is as good and amazing as ever. I call it the New Orleans of Asia and it's 1/4 Kilometer of the most amazing Thai Food, interesting shopping and beautiful Inns in Asia.
We hope you enjoy this video "Most Foreigners NEVER visit these places in Thailand".

Being an American living in Thailand is NEVER Boring
Join us as we eat delicious Thai food at a small roadside restaurant with EPIC views!
As an American I love to go on Vacation where the Thai people go. Having been in Thailand 3 years, I feel like Asian's have all the fun. In America, I had a great time but I also never knew what I was missing. Travel in Thailand is so much fun, especially at the local Thailand destinations. Today we traveled to Khon Kaen Thailand, to a mountain travel tourist destination. Also to see the Stone Henge of Thailand
.
In 2020, Thailand is the place to be, with no restrictions and whatever conspiracy has affected the rest of the world must not have thought Thailand was worth the time. Great!

Thailand Temple with 1000 STEPS & Nicest Monks!!!
Location 1: Wat Phra Bat Phu Pan Kham Bhuddist Temple: https://goo.gl/maps/UARaRnwsfGhjDcYp6
Location 2: Ubolratana Dam: https://goo.gl/maps/s7iCT6vFxE6YNq17A
This is a great Thailand Travel Daytrip because you can actually visit two great locations in close proximity to each other. It does not matter which you visit first but I would recommend visiting the temple in the morning or evening (before sunset) to avoid the hottest part of the day. The Dam is a flat and easy walk with a coffee shop and restaurant nearby. Both close shortly after dark.
Our First Stop Wat Phra Bat Phu PanKham Bhuddist Temple:
Also known as the huge white Buddha of Ubol Ratana Dam, this temple is a must visit location for those near the province of Khon Kaen, in northern Thailand. Located under an hour and a half from the city center during normal traffic times, it’s a beautiful and scenic drive passing many designated viewing locations, some of which have restrooms. You will notice many of what locals call “big bikes” or motorcycles enjoying the twisting roads. You will pass through many small villages and although there weren’t many 7-11’s on the main road, there are many local shops offering drinks and snacks. I didn't Vlog the food options because we ended up eating noodles nearby.
When you arrive, you will see a long staircase that leads up to Wat Phra Bat Phu PanKham which are generally not steep, but are steep in places typically with steps marked with red. I actually injured toe and recommend taking off flip-flops for better bare-feet traction but of course running shoes would be the footwear of choice. This wasn't my first Thailand travel injury but it was my most minor with a black toenail lasting several weeks.
I want you to know that climbing these steps IS NOT necessary to see the large Buddha on top of the hill. We did not realize this and took the stairs thinking it was the only option. However; you can easily continue past the steps parking area and continue straight up the hill to the temple where you will find refreshments, parking and easy access to the shrine. However; I do recommend taking the stairs at least once. For me it was the hardest part of the experience but it lead to meeting several monks, making friends and a spiritual experience and sense of accomplishment. It makes the view of the eastern side of the Ubonrat Lake that much more beautiful, especially around sunset. Thailand travel does not get better than this!
Thank you to the monks and their supporters at Wat Phra Bat Phu Pan Kham Temple! We couldn’t have asked for a more friendly visit.
Our second stop: Ubolratana Dam
This is a very beautiful location which demonstrates the nature and ingenuity of the Thai people. It’s a great photography spot and close to sunset, it’s common to see wedding photographers accompanying brides in white. Also graduation photos and LOTS of people taking selfies.
There is easy parking, friendly security, a coffee shop and restaurant. We didn’t go to the restaurant but only because after all the walking at the temple before made us feel like delaying eating until later. The local reputation is that it is expensive which is understandable considering the view, but I would not hesitate to try it. However; we did try the local coffee shop and although the coffee isn’t very strong, it’s cold and refreshing.

▀▄▀▄▀▄ North Thailand MONKEY Temple Experience. Must try, but be careful! ▀▄▀▄▀▄
We traveled to the outskirts of Khon Kaen, a city in Northen Thailand to Vlog about a temple we heard was nearly over-run with monkeys. It certainly did not disappoint as there were hundreds of Monkeys inhabiting the grounds. We bought 9 full bags of bananas to share with the monkeys that were not particularly hungry…but could eat.
Their real interest of the monkeys turned out to be our truck as they attempted to take the antenna, rubber weatherproofing, parts from the bottom of the car and even to drink the condensation dripping from the air conditioner. Very quickly this went from “Visiting Monkey Temple” to “Escaping Monkey Temple”.
We had some more daylight available and we traveled 20 kilometers to a fish sanctuary reported to have giant catfish. It didn’t disappoint. We also let loose many snails, eels and turtles sold for the purpose of releasing for good luck. We hope this turned out to be a fun Northern Thailand Travel experience and we look forward to Vlogging more in the near future.

Thailand Travel, Thai Food and Temple Exploration. Let's go!
Things are still closed down here partially, but one of our favorite Thai food restaurants was still open for drive-up orders. We explored two Buddhist Temples and had a fun trip. I hope you enjoy our Thai Life Vlog as Thailand prepares to re-open in about 10 days.

Thailand Travel: Running out of Gas in the Thai Mountains...Not So Bad!
Today we had an epic trip to a beautiful Chulabhorn dam but we ended up running out of gas in Thai mountains! However; we saw some beautiful views, including an amazing shrine hidden in the Thai mountains!
Today in the North Thailand Vlog, we head to Chulabhorn Dam (https://goo.gl/maps/9TgPtyj1DnMjpFnW8) but we didn't quite make it. What we did find were some of the prettiest views in North Thailand, including an incredible Buddhist shrine. We hope you enjoy this day in our North Thailand vlog. Many things are still closed due to the virus, but there is always something beautiful to do and see each day of the Thai Life.
As an American in Thailand in 2020, life is never boring. Each day here is wonderful with my Thai wife Grapes. I hope these videos show a bit about how it's like to live in Thailand as an American in 2020 and I hope you find the possibilities entertaining as well.

Thailand Travel: The Thai Dragon Temple of WEALTH!
Google Maps Location to Wat Kham Chanot Temple, Udon Thani: https://goo.gl/maps/FuGyGyzXfNVZcJGn6
Follow me Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/robpruitt/
If you are traveling to Udon Thani, you have already proven you are not the typical Thailand traveler. Udon Thani is a large province, with the center less than an hour from Laos. My very first visit to Thailand was very near here, in Amphoe Phen. Each day I would ride the local hotel’s leopard pink scooter from my resort over 30 minutes to the city center to explore the city and make friends.
Now, almost 2 years after my first visit, I was excited to travel back to Udon Thani but this time with my wife Angun. Since we started our first and then second business, she has wanted to visit the Wat Kham Chanot Temple in order to say a prayer for our business and invite good spirits to help. She also promised me that it would be an opportunity to take some great photos and video.
We drove from our home in Khon Kaen to our hotel in the center of Udon Thani. We stayed in the Prajaktra Design Hotel and enjoyed the rooms which were large, new and for a reason we couldn’t explain, featured a sink in the middle of the room. Although we drove our truck, we find it easier to take a Grab taxi to make our way around Udon and to have a more relaxing time to get around. I would love to tell you we did some amazing food crawl, but we were recommended to visit a Vietnam restaurant that ended up being rather far away and looking a lot like an American grocery store. The food was good but it just wasn’t the interesting vlogging experience, but the next day’s temple trip would provide a much better one.
In the morning we drove the truck 80 kilometers or about an hour and twenty minutes to the Wat Kham Chanot temple. It’s hard to believe Udon Thani is so big, but it’s actually a really large province. When you start to get close to the temple, you will start to see vendors selling Thai dragons made of banana leaves. These range widely from very small ones at 100 baht ($3.22), impressive ones going for 300 baht ($9.67) or huge ones that go for several thousand baht. We purchased one for 300 baht which was very impressive and you can see Angun holding it in the video. The woman told us that if we make this Thai dragon as an offering and receive our success, lottery number or wish, that we should go back and purchase one of the very large ones and offer it in thanks.
This temple is believed to be the real life location of a Thai Nagga or Dragon. The belief around this creature is that it is extremely lucky which lead to the creation of this temple. People make the long trek from every city in Thailand, not just the Isaan region or locals in Udon Thani. In fact, people come from as far as Bangkok or even from Laos to visit this site. People come to make offerings of banana leaf Thai dragons and pray for success in their business, wanting their job to flow well or to peer into the roots of an ancient tree for lottery numbers.
I was the only noticeable foreigner there and my experience is that this is not a place commonly on the tourist track. That made me a bit sad because I think foreigners can be a bit too focused on the night life in Udon Thani and miss the more beautiful and pure parts of the province.
Please enjoy this video for more detail and look forward to more Udon Thani travel vlogs in the future as well as other major cities in Thailand.

Scammed in Thailand: He built HER 2 HOUSES! SHE Disappeared!
I want to say first that I wasn't going to make this video and had decided against it. However; Steve insisted I publish this as a learning tool for those looking for love in Thailand.
The quick story of how I became involved. Steve is a viewer and recognized our nail shop was near his Thai family that he hadn't heard from before Covid. He asked if we could come bring his contact info. No problem! Oh my, how wrong I was. So, although I thought I was reuniting a Thai family, you will soon see how I came up with the title He built his Thailand girlfriend TWO Houses and she DISAPPEARED! 2020
Life in Thailand is not about building a house for your Thai family, it's about helping yourself. Taking care of. aThai giirlfriieend is not expensive. The family is not your problem. IF they make it your problem, move on.
What actually happened? Steve had been in a relationship with his Thai girlfriend for several years and built her family TWO houses. They stopped communicating after he left for Covid back to his country. So... we walked into a totally different situation than I expected. I hope this video acts as Thailand advice that will be of value to you. I have heard of many with Thai girlfriend problems and have been victim of Thai scams early on, so this hit close to home. Life in Thailand is supposed to be fun, you came here for a better Thai life. Not a worse one.
Summary, the girl he was dating likely had a Thai husband already and was tasked by her mother to find resources for the family by working at a bar where foreigners frequent. The family caused her daughter to use Steve to build houses, buy a new motorcycle et cetera. As soon has he left, she found another foreigner to build yet even more and he is here now, riding the motorcycle Steve purchased.
Here is what he says in his own words:
I meet "her" in 2016/17. A familiar story in that I was on Thai Cupid after my last breakup. Not really looking for anything serious. I’ve visited Thailand loads over the years. Love the food and the people so thought it would be interesting to chat with some Thai girls. She wasn’t like any of the other girls in that she seemed really down to earth and interested in a friendship to begin with, which was great as far as I was concerned. I knew she lived with her parents, had no kids and used to be a teacher so her English was great with no awkward needing google translate to hold a conversation.
I met her in Khon Kaen a couple of times while I was on vacation and the friendship developed into something more.
She’d been married to a Chinese guy but they’d got divorced 5 years before we met. She said she never really loved him and kicked him out after 8 years or so. I knew the family was poor but she said she didn’t even take a divorce settlement from her ex. So I thought she really put emotions etc over money.
I started getting seriously involved when she said she had the opportunity to buy the piece of land next to hers at a good price. So I leant her the money. (Obviously not technically a loan since I ain’t getting it back). Then she wanted a better house to live in when I visited so I paid for that. Then she felt bad because her parents didn’t have a nice place to sleep in etc etc. (in hindsight I can see how this looks now). I’d asked her to marry me and we’d talked about it often. She said she had to wait to finalize the land and house papers because if she changed her name it would confuse matters too much. (No. I didn’t understand that as a reason for postponing marriage either).
I was bouncing back between Australia and Thailand at this point and forwarding money when I could (I’m sure you know how it is). Then June last year she said the immigration rules where getting more strict and I’d have to leave for longer than usual. Around October she said she had the opportunity to go to Bangkok to do some government work which would bring in lots of money for us and we’d be all sorted by new year, I could come back, we’d get married, everything would be great etc.
The communication started to trail off around Xmas. Once the first signs of covid were showing I was getting pretty antsy and saying I should come over before I get locked down. She stopped all communication at this point. Then I contacted her mother. She said everything was fine and I’d be able to come over soon. Then the world went to hell in a hand basket. I’d been visiting my brother in UK and suddenly I was stuck here and unable to fly out. And no one from her family answered my calls or responded to my messages. Which brought me round to you.
I genuinely spent the last few months thinking she’d died in a car crash or had cancer. I feel like I’ve been through the whole grieving process for someone who’s not dead! This outcome was the last thing on my mind.

Celebrating Thailand Mother's Day with my Thai Family
I often get asked what it's like to be an American in a Thai family. Being in a Thai family as a foreigner takes some adjustment but like most things in Thailand, having a Thai family is a very rich and rewarding experience. As I have moved from being a Thai tourist to a business owner and husband to a Thai wife, each day has been an adventure as I learn Thailand's culture. I never lived in America 60 years ago, I'm only 40, but Thailand reminds me of how my father described America when he was a kid in all the best ways.
If you are considering a Thai wife or family, learn through my experience what being a husband and son-in-law in Thailand is like.
This video also shows what Thailand is like in 2020, this is August.
What's it like being an American with a Thai family? Watch and find out. Please subscribe so you can be notified of new episodes!
Also, enjoy as I take Angun for some nightlife at a beautiful restaurant in a nearby small village called Montra. We eat wonderful Thai food at the restaurant in the rain with a remarkable background.

Thailand Travel, EPIC Mountain Wind Farm Paradise!
Angun and I decided to take an unplanned trip to the Khao Kho Mountain wind farm, knowing only a few friends were there and recommended it. It is located directly north of Khon Kaen, in Northern Thailand and about the same latitude as Udon Thani, so it’s creeping up on Laos.
When you arrive you will be greeted with an incredible and surreal view of a local market and GIANT windmills around you. This location really is Thailand travel at it's best. I recommend saving shopping for last as you won’t want to carry around a lot. Keep your selfie hands free and get ready for incredible photos. The main part of the farm requires a small 10 baht ($.031) entrance fee and this allows you to get out of the market area and to the edge of the hill where you will find generous numerous of beautiful flowers and plants.
There are at least two coffee shops within the farm that serve acceptable coffee. However; don’t worry. In the slight chill of the mountain air and with the picturesque atmosphere, it tastes great. I would recommend eating either before or after you go because as of this writing, most of the good food options seem to be in the towns below the hill where this is located.
As far as shopping, we found plenty of Strawberry products such as syrups, juices, and jams. They likely have fresh strawberries seasonally but not during our visit. They have a wide variety of fresh produce and one item that was unexpected for us was Avocados. We bought two kilos for 60 baht/kilo (about $2) per kilo and they were fantastic. You can buy wooden windmills and a variety of inexpensive wind toys. If you look carefully, you can find some good quality trinkets worthy of your home trip or that make good gifts for local friends and those back home who you wish to show off your Thailand travels.
There is local open bus transportation to take you to different areas of the farm and that is a convenient (and safe) way to move around the farm or just to sit for a while.
I have to take a moment to discuss the drive for your safety. I would rate the difficulty of the road at a 6/10 under normal conditions. The same warning goes for the related temple location. I couldn't vlog most of the driving there because, with my manual transmission and steep hill, my hands were full. The drive there was scenic and beautiful, but the last mountain is NOT good for new drivers. There are areas with no guard rails that would be difficult to survive a slip or going over too far to let by oncoming traffic. Also, this is NOT a good place when roads are wet. I honestly hope they close the road during bad weather, but I wouldn't count on it. You can clearly see the dirt roads have deep veins, showing where water will rush. Combined with steep angles to drive, please don’t risk it. It’s not worth your life, no matter what the locals say. Also, you will have to drive around crowds of people on what resembles a slightly wide sidewalk.
I think outside of Chiang Mai, this is one of the nicer day trips you can take. I think of the many Thailand travel destinations, this has to be one of the best for vlogging and photography. So, come prepared to take or be in photos. Or, get one of many resort options and take an extra day to visit the Wat Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew temple.
I hope you have a wonderful Thailand travel experience and that video helps you plan your trip or share in ours.

Living in Thailand as an American is always a travel adventure. However; Phu Thap Buek was one of the absolute best travel experiences in Thailand. In my opinion, this is the most awesome Thailand Travel destination ever in 2020.
The location on Google Maps is below and this may be one of the top 10 spots in Asia, period. We are north of Chum Phae, Thailand by 2.5 hours and we met people who traveled 8 HOURS from Chiang Mai to see this. Thai Travel Vlog 2020, this is a great year to be exploring as there are few foreign tourists and a very pure experience is available. A Thai Monk let us in to explore even though the temple was closed for the day.
Being an American in Thailand in 2020 has never been better. Robert and Grapes headed to a place rarely seen by a foreigner, Wat Pa Phu Thap Boek Temple is my NEW Favorite Travel Destination. Be prepared to be amazed as my Thailand wife shows me a Temple in the clouds in North Thailand. I just returned from this trip today, June 2nd 2020 and I VLOGGED the entire trip. Don't take my word for it, this is not hype. This place is epic! Located in the Lom Kao province.
I hope you enjoy the best video I have taken with my Drone Thailand.
Enjoy what may be our best video yet.. and subscribe. We are trying hard to hit 1000 subscribers. Please share this with your friends. Learn what it is like to be an American in Thailand or a foreigner in general.

Where do Thai people travel in Thailand? Let's go.
As an American I love to go on Vacation where the Thai people go. Having been in Thailand 3 years, I feel like Asian's have all the fun. In America, I had a great time but I also never knew what I was missing. Travel in Thailand is so much fun, especially at the local Thailand destinations. Today we traveled to Chaiyaphum Thailand, to a mountain travel tourist destination. Also to see the Stone Henge of Thailand.
In 2020, Thailand is the place to be, with no restrictions and whatever conspiracy has affected the rest of the world must not have thought Thailand was worth the time. Great!
