Police in Washington D.C were checking out a report of gunfire registered on the city's ShotSpotter system. They approached the apartment building in the 3400 block of 13th place SE. When an officer shined their flashlight in an entryway, a man with a rifle aimed at them, and the officers opened fire. The suspect ran away. One officer fell while retreating, but no one was injured.

A woman was sent home from the hospital, but started delivering her baby girl in the backseat of her car as soon as she got home. A Columbus, Ohio police officer helped with the emergency delivery before paramedics could arrive.

A Frontier Airlines flight returned to the gate due to an unruly passenger. Officers remarked upon boarding that there were several Cleveland Police sergeants on board. After removing the unruly passenger and her companion, flight attendants also had an off-duty police detective removed. They said he kept recording after being asked to stop, and that it was further agitating the other passenger.

Los Angeles officers pursued a crazy guy running round the city with a big knife. They coordinated flawlessly, reminding each other of cover and crossfire. They used less-lethal weapons at first, but when the nutjob lunged at an officer, he opened fire. The suspect survived.
