God to the Rescue - Christmas reminds us that we needed to be rescued. The Virgin Birth is not a "tag-line" to the Gospel but the Reality upon which the validity of the message of Jesus Christ is founded upon.

We are given a Tangible Practical Expression of Christ's Love in Romans 12:13 “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” Hospitality is ordinary Christians, opening their lives up in ordinary ways to meet others in their ordinary needs, which can produce Extraordinary Fruit in the lives of both Receiver AND Giver!

Often "hope" is thought of as "wishing" But the HOPE the Bible speaks about is NOT so Shaky, Tenuous or Fragile! Hope is where our Joy is to be Anchor, Our Strength to endure hardships is Resourced, and the Basis of our Continual Prayers. Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

A Key Question for our spiritual lives: Are we living our lives today as if God is taking us home tomorrow? Spiritual desire is like a campfire, it requires attention and fuel to keep it burning. Jesus said in Matt. 24:12 "Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.”

We see this truth glaring at us everywhere in our Bibles: We can’t Live Right until we first Think Right. Are we viewing and embracing our lives from an Unobstructed Vantage Point of God’s Mercy?

If your life could be summed up in a single sentence what would it be? - Jesus did when He said (John 6:38) “For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.” - Elisabeth Elliot - “The will of God is not something you add to your life. It’s a course you choose. You either line yourself up with the Son of God…or you capitulate to the principles which governs the rest of the world.”

Paul is exhorting us that it is only one who’s Mind is Being Renewed by the Spirit of God will come to a Right Estimation of Himself! TWO Immensely Important Truths we MUST hold if we are to right Know ourselves: (1) I was so Deeply Flawed Sinful that the Son of God HAD to die for me! (2) I am so Loved and Valued by God – that Son of God JOYFULLY went to the cross for me!
