Almost every every English speaking Christian uses the phrase, "saying the grace", but what does that mean?

Continuing from the previous lesson on 1 Peter, we see Peter using the same technique as before. He introduce a Blessed attribute of God, then describes the great things God has done for us, then asks, "How should we respond to that?". In both cases the answer is, "Be holy as God is holy". In this lesson, the blessed attribute of God is impartial judgement.

In this study of 1 Peter 1:3-15, Peter describes how God had pity on mankind, who were dead in their sins. Instead of the destiny we deserved, he made it possible for us to have eternal life, not just a step up from the bottom, but right to the top. He says this eternal life comes when Jesus returns - but that causes a problem with what most churches teach.

We detail the answers to two questions from the previous study, "Why haven't I heard that the Spirit would become inactive?" and "Who are the 144,000?". In the previous study, we looked at the events described in Revelation, but without referring to the verses. This time we dig into the verses for these two questions.

Most of us as human beings try to fix every problem or obstacle that comes our way, but there will come a time when we won't have all the answers. This leads to anxiety and bad decisions. But the answer is not in us but in God. This message is intended to show ways in which God provides a solution or answer to the things that trouble us.

On Pentecost, Peter preached a sermon, after receiving the Holy Spirit. In this study, we look at what information he used and his argument for the Jews who were his audience. Then we compare his sermon with the sermon Paul preached to the Greeks in Athens, which we covered in a previous lesson.

Continuing from the previous study, we look at Joel 2 through Paul's Sermon in Acts 2. In this study, though, we look at what Joel said about the end of the end-times, particularly the sun becoming dark. We see there are many verses that say this and some indicate when they happen in time ... different times.

Church, keep your mind focused on JESUS and on his promises. Keep focused on our work at hand until our time is up. Never mind the nay-sayers and the doom-and-gloom crowd. Don't allow the enemy to steal your joy for your GOD given life. Each breath is precious and a blessing from our LORD!

The temptation is a spiritual battle between two heavy-weights (relative to us), Jesus, the Word of God as a man, and Satan, formerly one of the highest angels. It is also similar to the temptation of Eve. In this study we dig into what Satan is trying to do and what Jesus means by his answers.

We were designed by God to serve Him by serving others. He equips us will the necessary talents and abilities to make it possible. We know God can do anything that needs to be done, without our help. After all, He created all things and He is all powerful! But for His own reasons, He has decided to accomplish His work on earth through us!

With so many false teachers around, it is critical for us to develop the practice of thinking Biblically and responding Biblically to all the teaching we hear. We also need to check the teachings we hear to see what it is that is attracting us to them. Are they calling to a weakness in us or are they the truth of God?

The current war between Hamas, Hezbollah, and Israel has brought into focus how antisemitic our country and the world have become. This to be expected because the Bible says the world will do evil things to Israel late in the end-times.

The CoG7 churches and some others consider God's feast days to be important, but are we supposed to observe them? Or which ones are we supposed to observe.

Jesus says something odd - some of the people he is speaking to will not partake (taste) of death before they will see the Kingdom of God. This confuses many people.

Our police have been given the authority to lie and deceive without prosecution. This has turned out to be a big disaster, with large lawsuits and jail time for some. There are 2 important lessons we can take away from this.
