Rifle Light Basics - A SWAT officer's perspective
In this video I cover the basics of rifle lights. This video is oriented towards the tactical light novice who is looking to purchase his first light or just needs some surface level advice on how to mount it. I understand that some people in tactical circle are VERY passionate about lights and like to argue about lumens vs candela, etc. This video is not for you.

My Favorite CQB Sling - The Daisho Tactical 1:2 Conversion Bungee Sling
To be clear this video is an absolutely shameless self promotion. However, some of my local gun stores sell my slings and they wanted a video to show them how it works. So in this video I go over my most popular sling design, my 1:2 Conversion Bungee Sling. I discuss the function of the sling and why I prefer it.

One Tigris Shooting Rest Bag - Review and discussion
This is just a quick review of the One Tigris Shooting Rest Bag. One Tigris sent me several of these to test out and review. I was actually impressed with how light weight and versatile it was. Definitely a good option for any shooters looking for a lightweight shooting rest.

Rifle Zeroing - My rules for proper sight adjustment
In this video I cover zeroing your rifle. I explain my four rules putting a good zero on your rifle. I use these rules when I teach basic carbine courses and they seem to speed up the process and reduce the amount of "chasing groups". I don't cover shooting fundementals in this video, I will cover those in the future.

Support Side Shooting - Four methods from a SWAT trainer
In this video I discuss support side (or off side) shooting. I discuss four different methods and weigh the pros and cons of each. I include some range videos of me demonstrating each one. For some reason this particular topic has proven to be VERY controversial in the past. Early on in my firearms journey I focused on being "right". Later in my career I changed my focus to simply expanding my knowledge of firearms and tactics. I have found the later more insightful and productive.

Basic Rules for Cover - A SWAT officer's perspective
In this video I cover the basics of using cover. This is the ground level for SWAT CQB training. Everything starts with use of cover. I apologize for the audio in this video. I was using a new blue tooth microphone and the results were less than ideal.

Rifle Reloads - A SWAT officer's perspective
In this video I discuss my thoughts on rifle reloads. For some I have a different perspective on "listening to the gun" to understand what it needs. People can get VERY defensive about how certain things are done with an AR15, especially when it doesn't mirror what they have always been taught. For my part, I don't understand this mindset. As long as it is safe and efficient, I don't care what method you use to reload your rifle. This is A WAY to do it. Opinions vary.
In this video I reference a previous video in which I covered immediate action drills. You can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4tSs...

Immediate Action Drills - More important than reloads
In this video I discuss immediate action drills (AKA Tap, Rack, Bang). I touch on why they are important, how to do them and how to train them. In my opinion training your immediate action drill to the point you can perform it instinctively anytime you hear your rifle go "click" is a must for every rifleman.

Proper Stock Length - What it is and how to find it
In this video I discuss how to set a proper stock length (length of pull) on your rifle. Setting the stock length at its shortest setting is a VERY common mistake among new rifle shooters. In this video I explain why this is a mistake.

CQB Ready Positions - Get off your sights
For my inaugural video on my new channel I have elected to cover CQB ready positions. Many believe that you should stay on your sights when room clearing but this is a mistake. The thing that takes time in CQB engagements is not the time it takes to get on your sights but rather how long it takes you to process what you see and make the decision whether or not to shoot. To maximize your ability to process information efficiently you have to get your sights and weapon out of your eyes so you can see what you see before you do what you do.
