The Deific Wish
The Deific Wish:
A Poem
Creeping from the shadowless tree, beset by leaves and skin;
The leaves for shame; the skin for extinguished light—
We were clothed in radiance before the deific wish granted by the jinn.
The fruit of unearned wisdom consumed in one curious bite.
The pillar of smoke a prayer and sign of oxidation;
The cup of a water flowing again to want and thirst;
The thorns poison, prick, and pierce—an emaciated transformation.
The labored aspirations, in hazy thought, mindfully disperse.
A flaming sword made of uncreated fire,
Immolates the mouth of enlightened communion.
We reach out, or dredge inward, to obtain the deepest desire;
Only to be culled, re-alloyed, and in need of perfusion.
The patient Able, was embodied belief in action.
The rash Cain, was vaporous words and passion.

The Depths We Plummet
The Depths We Plummet:
A Poem
“What depth have we,
Whether by microscope, needle, or thought,
That can wick the walls of our heart with light?
The abyss in which we stare,
Is inwardly ourselves.
The abyss that stares back,
Is outwardly our resentment.
The Light that consumes the abyss,
Is everywhere God.
There is no inward depth,
Only endless plummet.
For God is without and within—
Ever present.
Without form, yet the ‘Former’ of all.
The Dawning Light does not break from depth;
Instead from breadth and substance.
Don’t miss the creator of ‘trees’
For the concept of ‘forests.’
