The question we are pursuing is, "Why does Paul equate certain characteristics to each piece of the FULL ARMOR ie. Belt = Truth, Breastplate=righteousness; Shoes=Good News; Helmet = Salvation; Sword=Word; Shield=Faith...Why? Ponder with me - Armor pieces designed to work together!!! Not individually!

For the last 150 years there has been a steady erosion of Biblical Authority in the Mainline Christian Denominations. As a Lutheran pastor I have been fighting against this current. How can we preach Jesus as Virgin born Son Of God who is at the same time fully human and fully God and then turn around and say "miracles never happen,,,there is always a logical explanation!" Can we recapture the Spirit of Awe, wonder, and Expectation? Only if we are willing to Let God be God Again!
