This is part 4 in a series about Judah
Tiglath Pileser III (745-727BC) expanded the kingdom of Assyria into the first of the great Empires of Middle Eastern Antiquity. The ancient kingdom of Assyria had gone through a period of recession and corruption until Tiglath Pileser III made changes so profound that he became know as the founder of the Assyrian Empire. He expanded into lower Mesopotamia and Upper Mesopotamia he them took tribute from the Phoenician cities on the Mediterranean coast which renewed Assyrian control over the trade throughout Mesopotamia. He took 1000 talents of silver from King Menahem of the Northern kingdom of Israel. He then annexed the Syro-Hittite states of northern Syria which were left over from the collapse of the Hittite Empire. He then went to the Levant and put down a revolt lead by Resin, king of Damascus and Pekah King of Israel. The kings of the Levant had formed a coalition hoping to be backed by Egypt their former overlord. King Ahaz of Judah had stood alone as an ally of Assyria.
First Tiglath Pileser III marched down the Mediterranean coast taking city by city until he took the Philistine cities of Ashkelon and Gaza. He then marched on Damascus killing king Resin he also invaded the lands east of the Jordan river taking Gilead, Ammon and Moab displacing these nations as slaves to other places. He then moved other captured peoples into the area and set governors over them as provinces of Assyria. He then took Galilee and Naphtali from Israel until king Pekah was killed in a place coup and king Hoshea paid tribute and homage to the king of Assyria.
Tiglath Pileser III then returned to Shinar to put down a revolt after his vassal king over Babylon had been assassinated. He then took the entire land of Shinar under Assyrian rule. In a New Years day ceremony he took the hand of Bel, the patron god of Babylon, this made him the king of Babylon as well as Assyria.
Shalmaneser V (727-722BC) Took the throne of Assyria and Babylon upon the death of his father. Upon his ascension the northern kingdom of Israel revolted from paying tribute under king Hoshea. Shalmaneser then besieged Samaria, the capital of Israel for 2 years.
Sargon II (721-705BC) Took the city of Samaria and took the northern kingdom of Israel into captivity (lost 10 tribes) replacing them with the people who came to be known as Samaritans. Assyria Babylon now had full control over trade through the Middle East. Both Egypt and Elam were weakened.
While Sargon II was in the west a usurper named Merodach Baladan led a revolt in Babylon backed by Elam. Sargon II went to battle with Babylon and Elam which ended in a stalemate. Sargon II turned his attention to Anatolia to put down a revolt among the Urartu. At this time Egypt had been forming a conspiracy in the Levant. King Hezekiah of Judah alone stayed loyal to Assyria while the king of Ashdod of the Phillistines lead a revolt. Sargon's general Tarton lead a campaign to quell the revolt in 720 beginning with the overthrow of Ashdod. Tarton set a king over Ashdod who was loyal to Assyria. As soon as Tarton left Ashdod again revolted. The prophet Isaiah walked naked for 3 years warning the people not to join the revolt because the Egyptians were going to be as he was, naked. Sargon II himself then visited Ashdod. The king of Ashdod fled into Egypt for protection but Egypt handed him over to Sargon II to avoid conflict. Phillistia was turned into an Assyrian province with a governor.
Sargon II then besieged Merodach Baladan in Babylon for 2 years. Merodach Baladan escaped to Elam for protection. Sargon II then took the hand of Bel in Babylon but proclaimed himself governor making Babylon a province of Assyria. 3 years later Sargon II died in battle in Anatolia.
Sennacherib (705-681BC) When Sennacherib, son of Sargon II took the throne both Anatolia and Elam were busy fighting Cimmerion raiders from the north. Merodach Baladin return from Elam and lead a revolt in Babylon. The Phoenician cities of Sidon and Askelon, as well as Hezekiah of Judah revolted against Assyria joining a new Egyptian conspiracy. Sennacherib first moved against Babylon installing his own king there. Merodach Baladin had escaped into the marshes of lower Mesopotamia.
Sennacherib then marched down the Phoenician coast taking city by city until he reached Phillistia retaking Askelon and routing Egyptian forces at Raphia. He failed at taking the city of Tyre even after attacking them with 60 ships from the conquered island of Cyprus.
Sennacherib then turn his attention towards Judah attacking the city of Lachish taking it along with it's surrounding towns. Hezekiah then reconsidered his position and sent him the silver and gold from the temple, even cutting the gold from the doors of the temple.
Sennacherib then besieged Jerusalem.
The Assyrians taunted the Jews from outside the walls they also taunted the God of Jerusalem YHWH.17:52

This is part 3 of 6 in a bible study series about Judah. In Genesis chapter 49 Jacob prophesied about Judah. He said the scepter shall not depart from Judah until Shiloh comes and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. Judah had lost his scepter or his staff once before to Tamar when he traded it to her for prostitution. He had it returned to him when he found out that Tamar was pregnant with his child.
Shiloh means peace or security. There are 2 times the scepter departed from Judah, the first time was when he gave it to Tamar and she was pregnant with the child who would carry the lineage of the King. Shiloh is a person, the scepter shall depart from Judah when Shiloh comes and to HIM the people shall gather. Jesus Christ is the prince of peace, since Jesus came and took the throne of Judah there is no longer a lawgiver in the lineage of Judah because the lawgiver has been born.
The ancient town of Shiloh was where the tent of the sanctuary stood for many years until it was replaced by the Temple of Solomon. Psalm 78 clearly shows how the tabernacle of Shiloh was rejected by God in favor of Mount Zion. The Ark of the covenant was moved to the Temple of Judah and now the promise of the eternal throne was given to David who was a son of Judah, this now eliminates all other sons of Judah, the promise is now through David specifically. 2 Samuel chapter 7.
At first the promise to David was though to be fulfilled through Solomon but Solomon failed and his kingdom was overthrown. The promise was fulfilled through Jesus Christ son of David who sits on the eternal throne.
Jesus Christ son of David the great lawgiver.
Isaiah 42 he shall bring forth judgement to the gentiles he shall bring forth judgement unto truth he shall set judgement in the earth and the isles shall wait for his law.
In Hebrew scripture the isles of the gentiles is generally referring to the Aegean sea. Jesus Christ brought forth his law to the gentiles through the Greek language of the New Testament.
Behold the former things have come to pass and new things I declare
Jesus Christ fulfilled the law of the old covenant and brought in a new and everlasting covenant.
Isaiah 42:17 condemnation of graven images and he shall magnify the law and make it holy
How did Jesus magnify the law?
Matthew 5
Adultery: whoever looks at a woman and lusts after her has committed adultery in his heart
If your right eye offends thee pluck it out.
Whoever shall put away his wife except for the cause of adultery causes her to commit adultery and whoever marries her that is divorced commits adultery
Turn the other cheek instead of an eye for an eye love your enemy bless them that curse you.
The law of Jesus is in all of his parables and all of his words.
Isaiah 51
A law shall proceed from me and I shall make my law rest for a light of the people. My righteousness is near my salvation is gone forth my salvation shall be forever
In this passage God himself is the servant and the people reject him. This happened in Jesus Christ being crucified by his people the Jews of his time.
Isaiah 43
The blind and deaf let the nations be gathered. God himself is the savior. You are my witnesses that I am God.
This is about Jesus Christ the light to the gentiles, the living God in the flesh.

This is part 2 of a 6 part series on Judah in the Bible.
Jacob sends his ten sons to buy corn in Egypt during a famine to buy corn and he kept his youngest son Benjamin behind because he didn't trust that his older brothers would care for him.
When they get to Egypt Joseph is the ruler there. He recognizes them but they don't recognize him. Joseph began questioning them about their family and he ended up keeping Simeon as prisoner until they could prove that they had a younger brother. When they get home Jacob becomes very upset because now he has lost two sons. After they run out of food Jacob tells his sons to go back to Egypt for more corn.
They told Jacob that they could not return to Egypt without Benjamin. Jacob refused to allow Benjamin to go because he had already lost two sons, Joseph and Simeon.
Reuben then tells Jacob that if he doesn't return with Benjamin then Jacob could kill his two sons. Jacob refused to allow Benjamin to go with him.
Judah then said to Jacob that he would put his own life on the line if he did not bring Benjamin back. He would bear the blame forever if he did not bring Benjamin back. Jacob then sent them with blessings and provisions and gifts to bring to Joseph in Egypt.
Jacob rejected Reuben's offer , Israel accepted Judah's offer.
When they arrived in Egypt Joseph held a banquet for them at his house. When they were ready to leave Joseph had his servant put his divining cup in Benjamin's pack and sent the servant to accuse them. He then took Benjamin prisoner for taking the cup.
Judah went before Joseph and pleaded for Benjamin's life he told him about the pledge he had made to his father Jacob and offered to take Benjamin's place. It was at this time that Joseph broke down and revealed to his brothers who he really was. Judah was willing to give his life for Benjamin.
There are 3 major events about the man Judah in the bible
1 He convinced his brothers to sell Joseph instead of killing him
2 He gave his life as a pledge to his father Jacob that he would bring Benjamin back
3 He offered himself a slave to Joseph to take Benjamin's place.
This is a forerunner of Jesus Christ giving his own life on behalf of sinners.
Looking again at Genesis chapter 38
Onan making children for his older brother Er because Er was slain by God.
Judah making children with Onan's widow Tamar who was also Onan's widow.
Judah's children are now actually his grandchildren.
There is a prophetic message here. The first wife of Judah was never named in the bible. Tamar the mother of Judah's younger children had a name. In prophetic terms the unnamed represents the wicked while the named represents the righteous. This is shown in Revelation 20:12.
Tamar's name means 'Palm tree' which is a symbol of righteousness while the first wife being without a mane is a symbol of wickedness. Her first 2 sons Er and Onan were slain by God for wickedness while the third son did live on and fade off into obscurity in ancient times. The blessing was passed on through the children of Tamar.
Genesis chapter 38 can be seen as a prophetic picture of the history of Judaism and Christianity. The book of Genesis is like a table of contents for the bible.
The two twins of Tamar are symbolic of the first and second coming of Jesus Christ. Those who believe in Jesus Christ are represented as the children of Tamar. Those children of Judah or Jews who reject Christ are represented by the children of the first wife who is unnamed. Her children represent the first and second temple periods which lead to destruction and the third child Shelah who faded into obscurity and insignificance.
John 3:36 He who believes in the Son has life but he who does not believe in the Son does not have life but the wrath of God abides in him.
The first Christians were Jews, the Jews who did not believe went through the second temple destruction or went on to form modern Judaism which is the synagogue system.
The first temple period symbolized by Er basically represents the time from Moses to the destruction of the first Temple. It is well documented that the people were sold into captivity and the city of Jerusalem was destroyed because the people worship false gods and practiced wickedness.
The children of Judah returned after seventy years for David's sake because God had made a promise to David. Jesus Christ is the son of David who sits on the throne forever. After the Christ was born the second temple was destroyed.
The second son Onan represents the second temple period. When the Jews were in captivity in Babylon they had to find a way to carry on the law of Moses. Because the temple was destroyed they developed the synagogue system and the Talmud.
In Ezra chapter 9 and 10 we read about the dilemma that they had to deal with because many of the Jews had mingled with the foreign people from other nations. Many of them ended up putting away their foreign wives. This is represented by Onan spilling his seed upon the ground.

This is part one of a six part series about Judah in the Bible. Judah was a man, Judah was a tribe, Judah was a nation, Judah is a theology. We get the term Jew from Judah. Generally speaking, the Jews are the children of Judah.
Judah was the fourth son of Jacob from the older sister Leah. Leah means weary, Jacob loved her younger sister more than her, but he married Leah first. Leah always felt inadequate and was fighting for Jacobs love. We see this in the names she gave to her children.
Reuben ( see a son ) because YHWH has looked upon my affliction and now my husband will love me because I have born him a son.
Simeon ( hearing ) Because YHWH has heard that I was hated and has given me this son also.
Levi ( attached ) Because now my husband will be joined to me because I have born him three sons.
Judah ( celebrated ) Now I will praise YHWH myself.
Joseph was sold into slavery by his 10 brothers. They planned to kill him and throw him into a pit. Reuben talked them out of killing him so they just threw him in the pit.
Judah talked the brothers into selling Joseph for a profit rather than killing him and having blood on their hands. These are the first recorded words of Judah.
Genesis chapter 38 is about Judah's family. Judah leaves his family and meets Canaanite friends. Judah marries a daughter of these men. This woman is never named in the Bible. She bore Judah three sons. Er ( awake ) Onan ( strong ) and Shelah ( request ).
Judah took a wife named Tamar (palm tree ) for his first born son. A palm tree symbolizes righteousness.
YHWH slew Er the firstborn because he was wicked.
Judah tells Onan the second son to give his brothers widow a child. Onan spilled his seed on the ground and YHWH slew him also. The child was to be Er's child that the widow would have a place of dignity in the family, this has nothing to do with masturbation.
Judah then asked Tamar to live at her fathers house until his younger son Shelah grew older but when Shelah grew older and she was not being called she decided to do something about it. Judah had a ring and a staff and was walking around like a king, he had promised Tamar a great name and a great place as a matriarch in this kingdom but now she was being sidelined by him. Judah had failed in his obligation to Tamar and she was now being expected to live the rest of her life a widow. Judah's first wife had died and the young son was grown but Tamar was still being ignored.
Tamar heard that Judah was traveling to a certain town so she dressed like a prostitute and met him on the road, she made a deal with him for a baby goat in exchange for sex. He did not have a goat with him so he gave her his ring and his staff as collateral until he returned with the goat. Judah later sent a servant to deliver the goat but she was gone.
A few months later Tamar was found to be pregnant. She was brought to Judah for trial, he condemned her to death for having sex with a man while she was a widow. She then presented the ring and the staff and said the one who owns these is the father of my child. Judah then stated that Tamar was more righteous than him. We know the lineage of Jesus Christ came through the son of Judah and Tamar.
Tamar bore twins and the midwife named them. First a hand came out and she put a scarlet thread on the wrist and said this one came out first. Then the hand went in and the one without the bracelet came out first. She named him Perez (breach) and said this breach be upon thee. Then the second one with the scarlet thread came out and she named him Zerah ( sunrise ).
Perez was the forefather of Jesus Christ. These two sons are a foreshadowing of the history of the nation of Judah. The genealogy of the third son Shelah fades off in ancient times but the children of Tamar carry on through the scriptures. These two twin sons tell a prophetic story about the first and second coming of Christ. The second coming was prophesied before Christ was born and he was born before the prophecies about the second coming comes to pass. The sunrise is the second coming while the breach is the physical birth of Jesus Christ.
Perez represents the coming of God in the flesh. Mary the mother of Jesus was impregnated by the Holy Spirit. This represents God born in the flesh. The Holy Spirit provides the Spirit of God while Mary provides the flesh of man.
Zerah represents the promise of the second coming of Christ and his kingdom. It was prophesied before Christ was born, this is the hand coming out first but before the promise comes to pass the actual breach must come to pass.

This is part 7 of a 7 part bible study series about Ephraim and Manasseh.
There are at least two Israels. The twelve tribes are the nation of Israel, under David and Solomon it was the united monarchy of Israel, Jacob was renamed Israel, his twelve sons were the children of Israel, after Solomon the monarchy was divided between the southern kingdom of Judah and the northern kingdom of Israel. The nation of Judah was of Israel but was not called Israel. When the Jews returned from Babylonian captivity they were no longer called Israel, they were called Judah or Judea. There came to be more than one Israel because Israel was divided. There is also more than one Ephraim.
David was an Ephrathite from the tribe of Judah (1 Samuel 17). Ephrathite is another way of saying Ephraimite.
Israels wife Rachel died while giving birth to Benjamin. She was buried in Bethlehem on the way to Ephrath. When Joseph, the older son of Rachel was in Egypt, he named his second son Ephraim which means ' people of Ephrath '. This word is tied to where his mother is buried.
In the book of Ruth we read about David's grandmother Ruth the Moabite. When she married David's grandfather Boaz the elders at the gate said 'do thou worthily in Ephratah and be famous in Bethlehem '. David was born in Bethlehem where the grave of Rachel is located and the town of Bethlehem had an affinity with Rachel and they called themselves Ephrathites even though they were not children from Rachel. They had a spiritual attachment to Ephratah and to Rachel.
The prophet Micah in chapter 5 indicated that the ruler of Israel, the messiah would come out of Bethlehem Ephratah. This was fulfilled in Matthew chapter 2 when King Herod inquired of the priests where the messiah shall be born.
Jeremiah prophesied in chapter 31About Rachel weeping for her children because they are not. In Mathew chapter 2 this prophecy of Jeremiah is tied to the slaughter of the innocents when King Herod slaughtered all the children in Bethlehem. This prophecy of Jeremiah directly ties the repentance and return of Ephraim to YHWH with Christianity.
Ephraim was one tribe during the time of the book of Judges, then they became the Northern Kingdom of Israel AKA Ephraim, they then became Ephraim the lost ten tribes of Israel, they then became Ephraim the redeemed. They were scattered among the gentiles and then the gospel went out to the gentiles. Part of that is the gospel going out to regather Ephraim but there is also the Ephraim of Ephrathah Bethlehem, the people of Rachel's children, those who are killed in the name of Christ.
Christians all through history have been killed for their faith.
This video ends our series on Ephraim. This helps to give us a deeper understanding of the book of Genesis. The book of Genesis is like a table of contents to the bible. God is telling us the end from the beginning. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob represent the Father and Isaac was his son whom he was willing to sacrifice and the son of Isaac was Jacob who wrestled with God and was renamed Israel. This is an object lesson of the trinity, the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Father is Abraham the Son is Isaac, who was sacrificed and the Holy Spirit is represented as the man Jacob who was transformed by God and became Israel. The other people in the book of Genesis are also object lessons, the entire bible plays out around this theme which begins in the book of Genesis.
We skipped over the first part of the book of Genesis from the creation until Noah because when we look at that we are going to discuss the other creation stories from the Sumerian and the Babylonian. Most of those are from the library of Ashurbanipal, the last great king of the Assyrian Empire. He lived in about 650BC and he built a library in Nineveh.
The Assyrian Empire and the city of Nineveh were always thought to be myths until the city was actually discovered in the late 1850's, the library of Ashurbanipal within the city was discovered in the late 1920's. This is a huge library of clay tablets containing Cuneiform and Akkadian writings. This is where these Sumerian creation stories were found. It will be better if we wait till we get to that time in our study . Moses lived at about 1475BC and the flood was about 2500BC. That is about 2000 years ahead of Ashurbanipal it wouldn't be fair for us be 2000 years ahead of their discoveries.
Some argue that Moses got his stories from the Sumerians but Ashurbanipal is 1000 years after Moses. The clay tablets written in the time of Ashurbanipal tell a history previous to his time that actually may have been influenced by Moses.
In our channel the History of God we are still within the book of Genesis but we are following some of these rabbit holes in history for a greater understanding of the prophetic nature of the book of Genesis.

Part 5 of a Bible series on Ephraim and Manasseh. David expanded his kingdom by subduing the Phillistins, Syrians, Moab, Edom and Ammon.
David then sinned against Uriah the Hittite by having him die in battle and taking his wife Bathsheba. Nathan the prophet scolded David for this and pronounced death upon David and Bathsheba's first child. Their second son was named Solomon.
David's son Amnon raped his other son's sister Tama. She was the sister of Absalom. Absalom killed Amnon for this and fled to another village. Years later he returned to Jerusalem and reconciled with his father David. Absalom then stood in the gate of Jerusalem for 40 years and anyone who was not happy with David's judgements, Absalom would gain their loyalty by telling them he would have judged in their favor. Absalom then started a coup and had himself crowned king in Hebron.
David left Jerusalem before Absalom attacked in order to avoid civil war. He moved to Ammon while Absalom took Jerusalem. Absalom abused his fathers concubines in the palace. This was Davids public humiliation that Nathan the prophet had pronounced upon him in retribution to what he had done to God when he killed Uriah the Hittite. David sent his captain Joab to quell the uprising of Absalom but he charged him not to hurt Absalom but Joab killed Absalom anyway. David mourned for Absalom but Joab told him he was losing his kingdom by mourning for his enemy. David claimed victory and returned to Jerusalem, the people of Jerusalem and Ephraim were divided over David there was a second rebellion of Ephraim led by a man named Shebah. Joab pursued and killed Shebah. David died and Solomon became king. Solomon built the first temple.
Solomon married many strange women from the surrounding kingdoms for alliances but he began to worship foreign gods which angered YHWH. God then sent a some adversaries to hinder Solomon including Jeroboam who was made ruler over the 'house of Joseph' by Solomon. The prophet Ahijah met Jeroboam on the road, he tore his coat into 12 pieces he gave 10 pieces to Jeroboam and 2 pieces to Solomon signifying the breaking up of the kingdom of Israel. Jeroboam then fled into Egypt for his life until Solomon died. Jeroboam then returned from Egypt and confronted Solomon's son Rehoboam over leadership. Jeroboam took the 10 northern tribes and Rehoboam took the two making Israel and Judah split. From that time on the Israel and Judah divided between the northern kingdom of Israel and the southern kingdom of Judah.
Jeroboam set up 2 golden calfs in Israel at Bethel and Dan while he ruled from Shechem. Jeroboams son became sick and he sent his wife in disguise to see the prophet in Shiloh. The prophet said the child would die and all of Israel would be rooted up and scattered because of the sins of Jeroboam.
The northern kingdom of Israel was also known as Ephraim. Ephraim and Judah are key figures in prophecy. In Genesis chapter 49 Jacob prophesied about Joseph and Judah. Ephraim is the main part of Joseph. Moses also prophesied about Judah and Joseph in Deuteronomy chapter 33. The blessing of Judah is tied to the Kingship of Judah and Jesus Christ, the blessing of Joseph is tied to the bounty of the earth and to Christianity.
Psalm 60 names Ephraim as the strength of God's head and Judah as his lawgiver. In psalm 73 gods people are called the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Psalm 78 says the children of Ephraim turned back in the day of battle and forgot God's ways. It also says he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh in favor of Jerusalem. Psalm 8o refers to God as the shepherd that leads Joseph like a flock.

This is the 6th video in a series of seven bible study about Ephraim.
First we look at a chronology map of the kings of Israel and Judah. I quickly summarize the history of the kings of Israel from Jeroboam to Ahab. King Omri built the city of Samaria as his capital. Ahab and Jezebel forced Baal worship on the kingdom of Israel. They built a house of Baal in Samaria. Jezebel was the daughter of the King of the Phoenician city of Sidon. God raised up the prophet Elijah against Ahab and Jezebel. Ahab and Jezebel had a second palace in the northern city of Jezreel. Ahab saw a vineyard that he wanted in Jezreel but it belonged to a man of Jezreel named Naboth. When Ahab offered to buy Naboths vineyard Naboth refused because it was a family inheritance. Ahab became sad and Jezebel found out it was because he could not buy Naboths vineyard. Jezebel called the elders of Jezreel together and told them to proclaim a fast to YHWH and to put Naboth at the front of the people and to have false accusers accuse him of blasphemy in front of everyone. This did happen and Naboth was stoned to death. Jezebel then went to Ahab and said Naboth is dead , go and claim your vineyard. This made Ahab very happy. As he was on his way to the vineyard, Elijah met him on the road pronouncing curse on Ahab and Jezebel that they would both be killed in Jezreel and the entire family would be wiped out. Ahab fasted and repented so YHWH said 'I will not bring it in his days I will bring it upon his son'.
The prophet Elijah then had the 400 prophets of Baal killed after defeating them on Mount Carmel Jezebel threatened the prophet Elijah's life. The prophet Elijah then ran to hide in a cave near Mount Sinai. This is where the prophet Elijah had the still small voice experience. The prophet Elijah then anointed Jehu as king over Israel. Jehu carried out the prophet Elijah's prophecies against Ahab and Jezebel. Jehu besieged Ahab's son Jehoram in the city of Jezreel he also killed Ahaziah the king of Judah because he was there visiting his uncle Ahab. Jezebel locked herself in the tower at Jezreel, Jehu called up to the eunuchs in the tower to throw her down and they did , Jehu then trampled her with his horse and the dogs ate her. The dogs then ate her. Jehu then murdered the entire bloodline of Ahab. He then called for a great gathering of the worshipers of Baal at the house of Baal in Samaria he then locked the doors and slaughtered them all. Jehu eradicated Baal worship from the northern kingdom of Israel but he didn't take down the golden calves at Bethel and Dan that Jeroboam had set up.
YHWH then said to Jehu 'Because you have followed my instructions perfectly, your children shall sit on the throne of Israel for four generations'.
The fourth generation from Jehu was King Jeroboam II. Under this king the northern kingdom of Israel reached it's peak.
Hosea begins by taking a wife of adultery named Gomer. She then bears him a son and YHWH names him Jezreel because he will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu and cause to end the kingdom of the house of Israel. She then bore a daughter to Hosea and YHWH named her Lo-Ruhama because I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel but I will have mercy upon the house of Judah.
She then bore another son and YHWH named him Loammi because you are not my people and I am not your god yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea. The the children of Israel and the children of Judah shall be gathered together and appoint themselves one head and they shall come up out of the land for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
We speak about the significance of the name Gomer and the name Jezreel. We also look at the apparent contradiction between Hosea 1 and 2 Kings 10. On the one he says that Jehu has done all that was in YHWH's heart while in Hosea he says ' I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu '.
Ahab and Jezebel were good friends with Jehoshaphat the king of Judah. They named their children after each other. They both had a son named Jehoram. Ahab and Jezebel had a son also named Ahaziah. Jehoshaphat's son named Jehoram married the daughter of Ahab and Jezebel who's name was Athaliah, her son from Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat was named Ahaziah. When Jehu destroyed the entire family of Ahab and Jezebel he also killed Ahaziah the son of Athaliah and Jehoram who was of the house of David, not the house of Ahab. Ahaziah was in Jezreel at the time visiting his grand mother and grandfather, Ahab and Jezebel.
This was a mistake by Jehu because Ahaziah was not of the house of Ahab he was of the house of David.
If we look back to Hosea chapter one we see that it is about destroying the northern kingdom of Israel but saving the kingdom of Judah and then bringing in a new Israel once the kingdom of Judah was weaned from the milk.
The milk represents basic teachings of the gospel. While meat represent the discernment between good and evil.

Two years later the Pharaoh had two dreams, one about cows and one about corn. His dreams troubled him but all the wise men of Egypt could not interpret his dreams for him. Then the butler remembered Joseph, he told the Pharaoh all about how Joseph had interpreted his and the bakers dreams in prison and both interpretations had be completely accurate.
The Pharaoh had Joseph brought in to interpret his dreams, Joseph's interpretation told him that God was showing Pharaoh what he was about to do, there were going to be seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine. Joseph counseled Pharaoh to appoint a wise man to gather corn and grain into silos during the years of plenty in order to feed Egypt during the seven years of famine.
Pharaoh then appointed Joseph to do just that, he made him second only to Pharaoh in all of Egypt.
Joseph was 30 years old when he became ruler of Egypt. Pharaoh also gave him a wife from the city of On. With that wife Joseph had two sons, the first he called Manasseh which means 'causing to forget' because as he said 'God has caused me to forget my father and all my troubles.'
The second son he called Ephraim which means 'double fruit' because 'God has blessed me and made me fruitful in the land of my affliction'.
In prophetic terms a famine is a famine for the word of God. Jesus is the bread of life he is also the 'word of God made flesh'. I give examples in history of famine and plenty for the word of God.
During the years of plenty Joseph stored up all of the grain and corn. The famine spread into Canaan and Jacob sent his ten sons to Egypt to buy corn, he kept Benjamin behind with himself.
When Jacobs ten sons came to Egypt Joseph recognized them but they did not know him, he remembered his dreams so he asked them who they are, they told him they are sons of one father and their younger brother is at home with the father.
Joseph accused them of spying and put them in prison for 3 days, he then told them they can buy corn but he kept Simeon behind in prison until they brought Benjamin to prove their story was true. He then had their money placed back into their corn sacks which they discovered on the journey home.
When they got home they told Jacob all that had happened. Jacob got mad at them he said 'first Joseph and now Simeon and now you want to take Benjamin you will not take him. Reuben said 'you can slay my two sons if I don't bring him back' but Jacob refused.
After they ran out of corn Jacob said to his sons 'go to Egypt and buy more corn' but Judah said "the man told us not to show our face unless we have our younger brother with us, I will be a surety for him, if I don't bring him back I will bear the blame forever"
Jacob then allowed Benjamin to go and he sent gifts also and double the money in case there was a mistake and he prayed for their journey to be successful.
When they came to Egypt Joseph commanded his servant to make a feast at his house for them to dine with him, they became afraid because they wondered why they were invited to his house. They got to Joseph's house they told the man at the door that they had the money that they found in their sacks but the servant said that God must have given them that money because they weren't missing any money. Simeon was there also.
When Joseph saw Benjamin he went into another room and wept. At dinner they sat according to birthright, eldest to youngest. Joseph commanded his servant to give Benjamin five times as much as the others.
When they were ready to leave Joseph commanded his servant to again put the money in their sacks of corn but to also to put his silver cup in Benjamin's sack. He then sent the servant after them to accuse them of stealing his cup. They said that whoever the cup is found with can die but the servant said that whoever the cup was found with would be taken to prison and the rest can go. He went through all of their sacks and ended up finding it in Benjamin's sack, so he took him.
They went back to Joseph's house to try to get Benjamin back, Judah told Joseph all about how much Benjamin meant to Jacob and that his father would die in grief if Benjamin didn't go home. He also told him that he had put himself up as a surety that Benjamin would come home and Judah offered to take Benjamin's place so that he could go home.
He we see that Judah has intervened twice on Benjamin's behalf. Judah is the son that inherited the blessing, through him all the nations of the earth would be blessed. It was through the tribe of Judah that Jesus Christ was born into the world. The apostle Paul was of the tribe of Benjamin.
When Joseph heard Judah he broke down and cried and told them 'I am your brother, It was God who brought me here to save our lives' Go tell our father that I am Joseph and there are yet five more years of famine, bring the whole family into Egypt.

This video shows how Joseph in the bible obtains the birthright of Israel for his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim from his father Jacob.
The Pharaoh of Egypt heard about Joseph's family and he offered wagons to help go get them from Canaan. When Jacob saw the wagon's full of goods from Egypt then he began to believe that Joseph was really alive and he began to use the name Israel again.
Jacob was on his way to Egypt and Israel stopped in Beersheba to offer a sacrifice to YHWH and there YHWH assured Jacob to go into Egypt. Jacob went into Egypt with his whole family, seventy souls total. Joseph ashed Jacob not to tell Pharaoh he was a sheep herder but Joseph's brothers let him know and he was fine with it.
Jacob met the Pharaoh when he was 130 years old and they settled in Goshem. When the famine raged on the Egyptians eventually ran out of money to buy corn so they traded cattle then when the cattle ran out they traded land. They ran out of land and Joseph moved them into the cities, he then began to subsidize the farmers to sow the land and farm it. They only ones whop owned land apart from Pharaoh were the priests.
The people of Israel prospered in Egypt for the next 17 years and Jacob was getting older he called Joseph and asked him to vow not to bury him in Egypt. He then brought his two sons Ephraim and Manasseh and Jacob blessed the two sons making them his own which made Ephraim and Manasseh two more tribes of Israel, these two tribes became known as the 'House of Joseph'. Here Joseph was given a blessing to become a company of nations.
Ephraim the younger was made greater than Manasseh the older by Jacob. He made them a multitude in the midst of the earth.
When Jacob blessed his 12 sons he took away Reuben's blessing because he had lain with Jacob's concubine named Bilhah. We read about this in 1 Chronicles chapter 5. Here we read that Reuben's birthright was given to the sons of Joseph. We also are told that Judah became the chief ruler but the birthright was Joseph's.
Manasseh shall be a great nation but Ephraim shall be a company of nations.

This is part 4 of a 7 part series about Ephraim and Manasseh. This part highlights the story of how Jesus Christ became Son of David, King of Israel.
Samuel's 2 sons were corrupt and the people asked Samuel to appoint a king over them like the other nations. Samuel was not pleased but YHWH told him that they have rejected him and not Samuel. He told them what manner of king they would have, that he would take the best of everything for himself but they still wanted a king.
Saul was of the tribe of Benjamin, he was looking for his fathers lost asses and he went to ask Samuel where they were, Samuel anointed Saul as king over Israel.
An Ammonite king named Nahash besieged the town of Jabez-Gilead. Saul gathered an army of Israelites to save them. The people then celebrated Saul as their king.
Samuel then reiterated the covenant at Gilgal after letting Israel know they have sinned by asking for a king.
The Philistines had garrisons in Israel in order to rule over them and Saul and his son Jonathan declared war on the Philistines. The Isrealites hid in the caves and bushes. Jonathan started a battle in the name of YHWH and there was a great earthquake which threw the Philistines into confusion allowing the Israelis to gain the upper hand. The Philistines then gathered a great army at Michmash while Saul gathered his army at Gilgal. Saul waited the seven days for Samuel but as the army began to flee Saul offered the burnt offering to YHWH that only the priest was allowed to offer. As soon as he was finished Samuel showed up and told him that YHWH had rejected him as king over Israel because of his disobedience.
Saul and Jonathan were the only ones who had swords. Jonathan killed a garrison of the Philistines by faith and there was a great earthquake sending the Philistines into confusion allowing the Israelis to rise up and confront them. Saul then pursued the Philistines with an army pronouncing a curse on anyone who eats food before evening. Jonathan did not know about the curse and he ate some food. Saul was willing to kill his son Jonathan but the people protected him. The Philistines escaped to their homeland because Saul pushed his men too hard and did not allow them to eat.
YHWH sent Saul to attack Amalec because he remembered when the Amalekites attacked Israel during their exodus from Egypt. Saul attacked Amalek and killed them all but fell short of following God's command because he saved some of the sheep and oxen and Agag, King of the Amalekites bringing them to Gilgal. Samuel met Saul at Gilgal and confronted him for not fully performing the command of YHWH. He then told him the kingdom will be removed from him and given to another.
Samuel then hacked king Agag to pieces with a sword.
YHWH then sent Samuel to anoint David of Bethlehem as king of Israel.
The Spirit of the Lord then departed from Saul and rested upon David while an evil spirit rested upon Saul. Saul was troubled by the evil spirit so his advisors suggested he send for David to come and sing for him to comfort him and it was done.
David wrote the Psalms these were songs he played on the harp.
Saul had formed a permanent standing army in Israel and established it's borders and subjugated its neighbors. David was put into the army by Saul because Saul wanted him dead but David prospered and became more popular among the people, he also became best friends with Jonathan, Saul's son. Saul want to reign David in so he gave him his daughter to marry, David considered it a great honor to become son in law to the king.
Saul's hatred for David became very clear and David had to go into hiding. This is when David received the shew bread from the priests at Nob and they were slaughtered at the behest of Saul by Doeg the Edomite.
David had a chance to take Saul's life several times but he did not he only made Saul confess that he was wrong. Saul was at war with the Philistines but he was not getting any answers from YHWH so he went to visit the witch of Endor. Saul had outlawed witchcraft in Israel so he disguised himself but the witch knew who he was. Saul had her conjure up Samuel from the dead and Samuel came and prophesied Saul's death.
Saul and his sons died in battle against the Philistines leaving David to take the throne of Israel. David first set up his kingdom in Hebron and then he too Jerusalem from the Jebusites making Jerusalem his capital and called it the city of David. The people of Jabesh-Gilead had retrieved the bodies of Saul and his sons from the Philistines and burned them and buried them, David sent messenger thanking them for what they did.
Saul's captain Abner set up Saul's son Ishbosheth as king over northern Israel. Ishbosheth then berated Abner for having relations with Saul's ex concubine so Abner turned against him and brought the northern Israel to follow David instead.

First we describe the origin of Gilead and how it became a land of the Gilead family in the territory of Manasseh. Then we talk about Baalim and Ashteroth Amon, Moab and the Philistines.
The first judge in this video is Jephthah. Jephthah was a son of the patriarch of the Gileadites, a man named Gilead. He was the son that Gilead made with a prostitute who was cast out of the family after his father died. When the Ammonites were oppressing them and they gathered for war at Mizpah, the Gileadites called upon Jephtheh who was now a great military leader of a band of misfits to help them and lead them into battle.
Jephthah sent messengers to the king of Ammon to which they disagreed over who owned the land. Jephthah then said let your Goddess Chemosh give you what she has and let our God YHWH give us what he has. Before going into battle Jephthah made a vow to YHWH that he would sacrifice whatever came out to greet him from his house when he returned home from battle if YHWH gave him victory over the Ammonites.
Chemosh was the deity of the Moabites and the Ammonites, she is closely related to Astarte also to Molech . Human sacrifice was required by Chemosh.
Micah is the next judge of Israel we discuss. 18;00
After his victory he returned home to Mizpah and his only daughter whom he loved came out of the house to meet him. After letting her grieve for 2 months in the mountains he sacrificed his daughter to YHWH. I give my opinions on why this happened in the video.
The next Ephraimite judge we discuss id Micah. He stole silver from his mother but when he heard that she had cursed the silver then Micah admitted to stealing it. His mother then blessed the silver and gave it to Micah. He gave some to the founder and had a molten image made, he then built a sanctuary beside his house for the image, he also made an ephod and a teraphim. He made his son a priest over the images. There was a young Levite from Bethlehem who was looking for his place in life. Micah hired him as a priest over his idols. Micah now thought that YHWH would bless him since he had a Levite for a priest.
The Tribe of Dan sent out a group of warriors to find a place to conquer to expand their land. These warriors came across the house of Micah and his priest, they asked the Levite to inquire of YHWH for them which way they should go to find land. He told them whatever way they go will prosper. They then went north and found a town of undefended people living in a paradise that would be easy to conquer. They then returned to Dan and reported what they had found. The tribe of Dan then sent 600 armed men to conquer it. On their way they stopped at Micah's house and took his idols and his priest for themselves. They said to the priest is it better to be a priest of one man or a whole tribe of Israel? They then conquered the town and made a family from Manasseh their priests.
Samuel was the last judge of Israel. During the whole time of the judges the tent of meeting was active in Shiloh. A man named Elkanah had 2 wives named Peninah and Hannah. Hannah had no children and she vowed to YHWH that if he would give her a son that she would dedicate him to YHWH all his life and that no razor shall touch his head. This was akin to a Nazirite vow (Numbers 6:1-5). She bore a son and gave him to Eli the High Priest in Shiloh. She named the boy Samuel. She came every year to Shiloh and she made him a little coat. He wore a linen ephod. Eli had two other sons who took bribes and were bad men. Eli blessed Hannah and she bore 5 more children to her husband. God then spoke harshly to Eli because of his sons and passed judgement upon his whole family but Eli didnt do anything about it.
Samuel was sleeping in the tent of meeting nearby Eli. YHWH called Samuel 3 times and let him know that he was about to bring to pass what he had warned Eli about, Samuel told Eli but he still didn't do anything. Samuel them became known as a prophet in Israel.
The Philistines went to war with Israel. Israel was losing so they called for the ark of God to be brought to the battle, they lost the ark to the Philistines. When Eli heard his 2 sons had died and the ark had been lost he fell and died. Eli's daughter in law then died in childbirth giving birth to a son whom she named Ichabod.
The Philistines brought the ark to Ashdod and put it in the temple of Dagon. God plagued the people of Ashdod so the Philistines moved the ark to the city of Gath. The city of Gath suffered also so the sent the ark to Ekron. They then sent the ark away on a cart yoked to 2 cattle that had never been yoked. The cart went to Israel, when the Israelis saw the ark return they rejoiced. The Israelis who look upon the ark all died, about 50,000 people. They sent for the Levites to come for they ark, the took it to the house of Eleazar.
Samuel spoke to Israel, he told them to get rid of Baal and Ashteroth and serve YHWH only. They gathered at Mizpah to pray and fast.

This is about the Joseph bible story and how he was sold into slavery
Recap of episode 14 Jacob the family man
Rachel had to wait a long time to become Jacobs wife. And she had to wait a long time to have a son
Rachel's first child with Jacob she named Joseph which means 'he will add'
After Joseph was born Jacob went beck to the land of his fathers where he ended up at Bethel. It was here that God renamed him Israel. After this Rachel died at Bethlehem in childbirth where she gave birth to Benjamin.
finished recap of Episode 14
Reuben the oldest son of Jacob slept with Bilhah Jacob's concubine and Israel heard of it.
Joseph in the bible story was 17 yrs old and he was feeding the flock with his brothers the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah and Joseph brought their evil report to his father. Jacob loved Joseph more than any of his other children. He made him a coat of many colors his brothers began to hate him.
A short talk about prophecy and dreams, In the bible story Joseph is a dreamer and interpreter of dreams symbolic dreams and prophecy are very similar, it is a language of God.
There are important figures to understand what they represent in prophecy the 4 most important are Jacob, Israel, Judah and Ephraim
In the bible story Joseph dreamed a dream and he told his brothers "we were binding sheaves in the field and your sheaves bowed to my sheaves. They said 'shall we bow to you?'
He had another dream "The sun and moon and eleven stars bowed to me" His father said 'shall I and you mother and your brothers bow to you?'
Jacob sent Joseph to Shechem to check on his brothers who were grazing the sheep. He found them in Dothan. They said 'here comes that dreamer' Reuben tried to rescue him from his brothers, they took his coat of many colors and the threw him into a hole.
They sold him to some Midianites who sold him to some Ishmaelites.
Ruben then said 'he is gone what should we do?" They took his coat of many colors and dipped it in goats blood. They brought the coat to his father and he assumed Joseph had been killed by a wild beast.
Potiphar, the captain of the Pharaoh's guard bought Joseph from the Ishmaelites.
The Pharaoh was probably Senuseret III. He built a summer palace at Avaris Avaris was renamed Pi Ramses in later times.
Potiphar made Joseph the master over his household, everything but Potiphar and his wife. The wife kept trying to seduce Joseph but he always refused. She accused him of trying to seduce her so Potiphar threw Joseph into prison. In prison God blessed Joseph and he became the steward of the prison.
One day he interpreted the dreams of the Pharaoh's butler and baker who were in prison. The butler was restored to his job and the baker was executed as Joseph had predicted.
They both had dreams that were foretelling something that would happen in 3 days.
This shows the Joseph bible story as symbolic of Jesus Christ.
He was falsely accused and condemned. The dreams contain the 3 days analogy and in that time he judged the living and the dead.

Ephraim stretches along the West Bank of the Jordan river from Bethel to Jezreel.
The Levites were the tribe in charge of the Tabernacle which they set up in Shiloh where it stood until the time of king David.
The tribes of Israel failed to drive the Canaanites out of the land, they actually made them pay tribute. At the Battle of Kadesh between the Egyptians and the Hittites the Egyptians traveled up the valley along the sea which was controlled by the Canaanites who were allied with them. The Israelites were in the woods in the mountains at this time.
In the book of Judges chapter 1 we read about a transition that happened between the generation that knew Joshua and the next generation that did not witness the great works of God on behalf of Israel. They turn away from following YHWH and turned to worshiping Baalim and Ashteroth.
The Amorite tribe was called Amurru by the Mesopotamians of Sumer. After a while all Canaanites became known as Amorites.
In Judges chapter 2 an angel of the LORD came to the Israelites to ask them why they broke the covenant by making alliances with the Canaanites. God told them that they gods of the Canaanites would become a snare to them, he then stopped driving out the Canaanites and left them in the land to prove Israel, whether they would serve him or not.
Baal worship is like Catholic Saints, they have a Saint for every job or realm of life, YHWH does not work that way, we are to worship one God only, he hears us and answers us, the angels are his servants we are not to pray to angels either.
God then raised up judges who would deliver Israel out of tribulation when they called to him but after each judge died the Israelites would turn again to other gods.
Baal was a god of fertility weather wind rain seasons and war, he was the patron god of the Rephaim, the giants and the evil spirits.
Ashteroth was a Judean goddess with a similar name to Astarte the Phoenician goddess who was the daughter of the sky god. The Judean form of Ashteroth was called the ’queen of heaven’ or the wife of Yahweh. Her name appears in several forms and her attributes change over the centuries as she is adapted by various cultures. The Phoenician form of this goddess is Astarte, she was directly adapted from the Mesopotamian goddess Ishtar, who was the earlier goddess of Ur, Innana. She is in charge of fertility sexuality and war. She has been known as the queen of heaven throughout her career and is represented by the planet Venus. Her symbol is the 8 pointed star. She is also a mother goddess.
During Roman times after Christianity this same goddess took on the role as mother of god. Many of these same symbols are attached to this same deity.
As we discussed in Episode 2 these according to Enoch and the early Christian scholars these are representing demonic entities and are a perverted form of Gods truth.
In the bible God is in charge of absolutely everything while the demonic entities who are terrestrial spirits are allowed to exist to test and try mankind. They present themselves as a pantheon of powers in charge of various realms such as storms lost items crops fertility and such things and that prayer or offering to them can offer some help in that realm. The truth of the bible is that God is in ultimate authority and that he is able to give favor in any realm because he is in charge of all of creation.

This is part 2 of a series about Ephraim and Manasseh.
Each time the children of Israel fell under oppression from a neighboring nation they would cry to God and each time God would raise up a judge to conquer the enemy and lead Israel back into God's favor but after each judge died Israel would again forget God and follow after false deities or as we learned in episode 2, demonic entities.
Israel fell under the rulership of Jabin, a Canaanite king who ruled from Hazor in the region of Naphtali. Deborah the prophetess became the judge of Israel, she lived near Bethel in Ephraim. She called a man named Barak of Naphtali. She told him God has told you to take 10.000 men of Naphtali and Zebulon and go meet the captain of Jaban's army near Mt Tabor for battle. Barak would not go without Deborah so she said he will share his glory with a woman. So they went together and won because the captain of Jaban's army was killed by a woman when he hid in her tent.
After that the Midianites to move into the land. They are sons of Abraham through his 3rd wife Keturah. They over ran the land with cattle and they ruined the land so that Israel had to hide from them. They cried out to God and he called Gideon to go to battle. An angel appeared to him to call him, he brought food as a gift and the angel consumed it by sending fire from a rock with his staff.
God told Gideon to cut down his father's altar and grove to Baal and use the wood to sacrifice the bull to YHWH. In the morning the men of the town wanted to kill Gideon but his father intervened and renamed Gideon as Jerubaal.
The Midianites were gathered in the valley of Jezreel. Gideon blew a trumpet and gathered his family and all of Manasseh, Asher and Zebulon. He then asked god to prove himself twice with the dew and the fleece. God then told Gideon his army is too big and he thinned it down from 32,000 to 300 men.
Gideon and his 300 fooled the Midianites with clay pots and lamps and trumpets, the sent the camp into disarray and they began fighting each other, they then fled in fear down the Jordan valley. The men of Asher Naphtali and Manasseh then joined back in to the battle . The Ephraimites headed off the Midianites at Beth-Barah and beheaded 2 Midianite princes.
Gideon and his 300 pursued the Midianites up the valley to Succoth. Gideon asked the people of Succoth for bread for his men but they refused. He promised to return and punish them. Succoth is where Jacob built booths for his cattle and named the place Succoth.
Gideon then came to the town of Penuel, this is the place where Jacob wrestled with the angel all night. The people of Penuel also refused to help him and he also promised to punish them. The Midianites stopped to camp for the nigh but Gideon and his men spent the whole night flanking the Midianite army. He captured 2 Midian kings and return to Succoth with them, he then had the elders of Succoth whipped with thorns. He then returned to Penuel where he destroyed their tower and killed every man in the village. There he killed the two Midian kings.
Gideon then took all the gold moon shaped symbols the Israelites had collected from the Midianites and he melted the gold down and made an ephod which he placed on display in Ophir. The people of Israel would all go to Ophir and adore the ephod that Gideon had made. This gave rise to the Baal-berith cult in Israel which was a mixture of Baal religion with the covenant between God and Israel.
The Crescent moon is associated with Sin the moon god of Arabia and the God Nanna of Mesopotamia.
The Midianites and Ishmaelites were sons of Abraham, the Moabites and Ammonites were sons of Abraham's nephew Lot and the Edomites were sons of Jacob's brother Esau.
Gideon had 70 sons, one of whom was named Ambilech. He was the son of a servant woman from Shechem. After Gideon died Ambilech stirred up his kinsmen in Shechem to revolt and they went to Ophir and killed all of Gideon's sons on one stone. The youngest son named Jotham hid from them and lived. When they were gathered in Shechem to crown Ambilech king, Jotham cried out to them from the top of Mount Gerizim. Shechem is located between Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal, this creates an acoustic dome which carries voices very far. These 2 Mounts are also known as the Mount of blessing (Gerizim) and the Mount of cursing (Ebal). Jotham cried out a parable about the trees looking for a ruler. God sent an evil spirit to carry out the parable between Ambilech and the people of Shechem. The evil spirit tried to get them to follow after Hamor the father of Shechem. Hamor was the king of Shechem during Jacobs time. War broke out between Ambilech and Shechem destroying them both and bringing about Jotham's words upon them. This is the first time the 'Cedars of Lebanon' was used as a prophetic symbol in the Bible. The cedars of Lebanon was a great cedar forest harvested out in ancient times by Egyptian and Mesopotamia.
