Fighting around your vehicle?
Have you thought about what to do if you're attacked in your vehicle? You may have to fight off carjackers, road rage idiots or maybe even a mob. Just because you can't imagine that happening doesn't mean it won't happen. I did this drill a few years ago and I cringe now at the things I could have done better. But that's why we train, right? Are You Ready To Throw a Knife?
Are you ready to throw a knife if necessary in self-defense? Key things to remember--1. Know your range with each weapon 2. Practice, Practice, Practice! 3. Even if you stick your target, it likely won't disable him, it will only buy you time to get you to your next move, either run or attack further 4. Never throw your last knife. 5. Any knife you throw could be used against you, so have another move already planned, such as draw your firearm, use another weapon of opportunity to eliminate the threat, or escape. 6. Think about scenarios you might encounter that would necessitate throwing a knife. For me, it would be an encounter where the attacker is too close for me to draw my firearm, but I can push him away. Hitting him with a thrown knife will interrupt his OODA loop for a few seconds, allowing you that precious time to survive. Make it count.
