Bedtime Story
This is an ancient betime story. It was passed down from generations.
And now its your turn to learn about it and sleep as an angel.

Fringe mathematics
Its not fringe at all, but the msic score certainly is.
Now get back to study or I'll tell your parents. I mean it.
Now seriously, I am practising to go and teach at College. Why? Because I loved to study mathematics when I was in College (Applied Math) and I spent all those hours watching as bunch of folks fill the board with stuff only 1% of students at best could understand at real-time, and because there was no time they couldn't fully explain what they were doing and often they just said "its obvious", "its easy to see". And I really want to spend the rest of my professional life doing stuff that people really do not need, and do the same thing over & over again, when I could just do it once, record it and make it available to anyone anywhere.
Just imagine doing this crap as a living. Its my dream.
I hope some reputed College hires me because I want to fullfill this dream ;) I want to help them do the same stupid thing they have been doing for decades and in some cases for centuries like its the NEXT BIG THING.
ps. A big shoutout to those engineers who one day got out of bed and thought it would be cool to teach pure Mathematics. Imbeciles.

Adelante (3 violins)
Paganini tries DMT.
An experimental version of "Adelante" by Dj Sash!, with 3 violins.
Go watch the original and learn what you missed if you were not a teen back in the 90s ;)

I find it very difficult to perform machine-like rythmic movements on the violin in a sustained mathematical manner.
I am used to a organic kind of motion instead. Nothing to do with electronic music definitely, but this gave me the pretext to try and play several violins.
Anyway the most important point made here is -- Always Look Ahead.

Wrist vibrato (violin)
This video records my main findings after studying the wrist vibrato on the violin for the past few months.
This technique involves a number of different factors that I believe should be addressed and developed separately so as to make it easier to develop the proper wrist vibrato.
2:53 Hand angle relative to the neck
4:13 Finger pressure
5:59 Thumb support
7:39 Wrist vibration
10:34 All together
I hope this makes it easier for others to do their own analysis on the subject and to structure their approach in the most efficient way for them.
Feel free to share your opinion and your position on this if you'd like to.

Arthur & Guinevere
«A man who fears nothing is a man who loves nothing.»
Arthur
I performed these short impressions on the movie First Knight (1995) directed by Jerry Zucker (Columbia Pictures).
I composed the music except for the two last parts which are free transcriptions from the original works.
This has a dark stance on the theme and the chapters are:
00:00 I. Guinevere
00:56 II. Arthur
01:52 III. Marriage
03:18 IV. War
04:43 V. Arthur mourns Guinevere's love (1/2)
05:44 VI. Arthur mourns Guinevere's love (2/2) - from the aria "E Lucevan le Stelle" of Puccini's Tosca
06:53 VII. Finale - from "After Dark" by Vadim Kiselev
I wish to thank Helene Elinor (on YT) for a very insightful exchange we had about music, which turned to be a sort of catalyst for this work, in its own way.
The stills are from the before mentioned movie.
The background image is adapted from the "Victorian Floral" wallpaper collection by Walls Need Love.
I am using the Pirastro Aricore string set which I consider a definite improvement over the standard sets. The most distinctive of these lower tone strings is evident at the end of part III.
Some more context:
I chose these themes because this movie offers several scenes and characters that lend themselves to musical interpretation as I see them.
Also, I watched this movie when it came out, I was 16 yo at the time, and this allowed me the interesting approach of revisiting my teenage feelings on the matter but with some knowledge of this age. I suppose that the childlike vision made it easier to compose than it would be otherwise, since its only the 2nd time I have done this.
Technical disclaimer:
I'm still studying the violin so its a work in progress ;)
