Spooky greetings! // Turning an illustration into little clay sculptures 🎃 part 3 sad pumpkin
Happy Spooky Season everyone!
I LOVE Halloween and I hope you do too! Please join me as I celebrate by creating three little clay Jack-o'-lanterns in this series of videos.
In this video, part 3, I'll be sculpting a sad little face with tall shapely pumpkin body out of polymer clay. I'll touch on my sculpting process a bit, and mix in some casual seasonal conversation.
This time while sculpting, I'll be sharing my unpopular opinion about one particular Halloween movie: Hocus Pocus 2.
I loved the original Hocus Pocus and I watch it every year, but I was in no way impressed by the sequel. In fact I truly can barely stand to watch it. As promised I talked about something that actually makes me rather sad.
While there was a lot I could go in depth about as to why I don't like it, in this psuedo review of Hocus Pocus 2 I focus on the lore of the original Hocus Pocus and how it was butchered in the sequel.
Big take-aways are that the movie follows the typical Hollywood trend of making all villains redeemable and softening darker story elements.
I of course touch on other parts of the lore: the book, the black flame candle...the singing...as well.
The clay I used to sculpt is Super Sculpey and I used a variety of tools while working it: heavy duty foil, periodontal scalers (you'll probably recognize these from the dentist's office), and a slew of sculpting tools that I must admit I don't know the specific names of.

Happy Spooky Season! Turning an illustration into little clay sculptures 🎃 Part 1 Creepy
Happy Spooky Season everyone!
I LOVE Halloween and I hope you do too! Please join me as I celebrate by creating three little clay Jack-o-lanterns in this series of videos.
In this video, part 1, I'll be sculpting a creepy little face with a wonky pumpkin body out of polymer clay. I'll touch on my sculpting process a bit, and mix in some casual seasonal conversation.
I'll also share my Halloween traditions and some small anecdotes, so you can get to know me better. :)
I hope to hear about some of your traditions or what you're excited about most this season in the comments.

Digital Illustration Timelapse // Cycles // No commentary
Join me as I take another crack at drawing this illustration in a timelapse video! Let’s see what I keep and what I improve while listening to a selection of house music by Byro. See the links below for music, software, and hardware.
This illustration is inspired heavily by the idea of Sun and Moon deities and influenced by the Art Nouveau style. These gods exist intertwined in a never ending cycle, so I titled the illustration Cycles.
Software: Clip Studio Paint Pro
