I've been in the healthcare field serving as a Respiratory Therapist for 20+ years. I've watched as our institutions have taken the care out of healthcare and replaced it with diagnosis codes and medical record numbers. Never before has there been such a disconnect between providers and the patients they are here to serve. I think it's time the general public understands just what the large majority of healthcare providers from the bottom to the top truly think of us and their chosen profession.
