Finding a cafe to get warm breakfast especially in the small towns can be quite a challenge as there are mostly bakery shops which serve cold sandwiches. In this episode I am in Zašová which is located in Czech Republic in the the Zlín region. For the first time I attended the Masopust which is a Slavic carnival event for the celebration of the final day of eating meat. How do the Czech people celebrate on this day at this event? People were dressed up in costumes singing and dancing to music in the town then walking through the village. There was check points during the time of the walk where everyone would sing dance to dechovka which in English translation is (Brass band music) There was tradition also food/snacks such as chlebíčky, jednohubkyand koláč and alcohol (Slivovice) there was also competition for prizes to be won from the Košt Slivovice. Masopust is the traditional Czech carnival celebration. The word “masopust” comes from the Old Czech and means “meat fast”. People wear masks, dress up in costumes, celebrate the start of spring, fertility and give farewell to winter. Masopust is a moveable feast day and the last chance to feast before Easter Lent, the 40 weekdays and six Sundays preceding Easter. In this episode I documented the process on how we produced our own homemade Jablkovice (Slivovice) made from collected apples, which here In Czech Republic is traditional alcohol and it also can be found in other European countries such as Slovakia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Balkan. Slivovice is made up from fruit such as plum but also comes in other variations such as pear and commonly used with apple which is known to be called Jablkovice and the percentage is really high in volume from 52% and what makes the alcohol stronger is the sugar from the fruit. The process took a period of 4 months From November 2021 to February 2022 the final stage was at the distillery where the Alcohol went through the final burning process. In this video, I will try out traditional Czech flat open face sandwich called Chlebíčky. This is a common snack in Czech Republic. Anyone that has not visited a European country the chances are you would have likely not seen this unusual open face sandwich before which can be quite for strange to those that have never seen this style of sandwich before. In this video I visit a shop that specifically for this sandwich and fruit cake. Chlebíčky sandwiches, which can be eaten for breakfast and are also popular as a snack at parties and celebrations, for example. There are many variations of bread rolls, both with butter or spread, ham and egg, and with salad, ham, cheese and cucumber, the variations are countless. I've tried two that I really like. Which sandwich is your favourite?

This video shows you about the diversity and different cultures in the Czech Republic and shows other existing food. I visit Vietnamese and Thai Asian restaurant. The atmosphere was awesome as soon as I walked in thanks to the decorations and the friendly staff I suddenly felt comfortable in this restaurant. I ordered a Vietnamese mango drink, then I had a chicken noodle soup what was absolutely delicious with vegetables and spices. I ordered a sushi selection. Main course was shrimp with rice and the presentation was quality.

Frgály is a sweet flat round circular cake which you usually you would come across at celebrations such as christenings, birthday parties, and weddings. In this video I go to a Asian Vietnamese noodle and sushi bar and restaurant in Czech Republic to try the food. Other than typical traditional Czech food there is not much other options other than Asian food. In Czech Republic there is a big Vietnamese community from restaurants, shops, and markets. Here is one of many Asian restaurant similar to what you can find in nearly every other town and city in the Czech Republic.

In this video I try food from a delicacy shop which specialises in a wide range of bio and organic farm products. They had goats cheese, coffee, tea, sausage, handmade luxury chocolate nutella, wine, nuts, and dried fruit from around the world. The products came from: Holland, Hungary, Italy, Jamaica, Cuba, Dominica, Columbia, Seychelles, Czech Republic and Moravia.

In this video I show how people prepare for the Christmas in Czech Republic. The fish people buy here mostly used for the Christmas is called “carp” and the tradition is that it is brought dead or alive them taken home and left in the bath tub and on Christmas Day it is prepared and fried, on the side with potato salad and also used to cook a carp fish soup. I show you the set up style how locals come and buy their fish and you also see the process of what happens at a fish market.

In this video I show you how to buy groceries in a supermarket without money just from empty glass beer bottles. I take the bottles back to the supermarket and place all of the bottles inside a machine where it goes through a counting process, once done it adds up the number of bottles placed inside the machine then shows you how much Czech crowns is returned to you. From the returned glass bottles it was enough to buy some groceries from the supermarket.

In this video I will be going to try smažené tvarůžky v bulce, an extremely smelly Czech cheese but this time it will be fried and placed inside a burger. There a more ways to prepare tvarůžky other than simply just having it on a slice of bread, so I found out that place called by locals "Hungry window" do make this cheese fried - smažené tvarůžky, I was very excited to try it.
