I think more testing will be needed... like a LOT more when it comes to charging these extended Baufeng batteries. With that said you will have to do your own testing to see if this product will work out for you and your needs. A cache is often used by defending forces to supply themselves in case the offensive forces take out the defending supply hubs or supply chains. This tactic has been used for generations and the only means of destruction of a supply cache is either the contents inside were not properly stored, the cache was discovered by enemy forces, or by accident. If you are now or already stocked up on magazines to feed your self defense tools and these magazines were inexpensive surplus or current production ones then this upgrade would be of interest to you. Upgrading the follower is a key step to prevent a critical malfunction, then there's a way to pull the magazine from out of the pouch/carrier/pocket, or whatever you call it - having a way to get the magazine out and into your rifle ASAP will help you continue your existence above the grass. When the MRE's and freeze dried meals run out while you are in the field doing the things, you will need to cook from scratch. With the plethora of mess kits both commercial/civilian to military surplus they take up space and add weight to your pack. If you plan on doing a lot of cooking with an actual mess kit while outside the wire, more power to you - I on the other hand try to reduce the weight and space used by cooking with a spare canteen cup.
