Popsicles with no added sugar! Hooray! This week we made popsicles and I posted about them in my Instagram story then many of you requested a video about them so here it is! I got the popsicles container for one euro at a local China store ... which is the equivalent of a "dollar store" in the U.S. I know you can also order them on amazon .. or pick one up at Target or Walmart. You can get as creative as you want with your popsicles and feel free to share your ideas with us! The green smoothie we used in this video was extra green tasting so we recommend using more of a fruit based green juice so it doesn't taste so much like salad. The other day I had a popsicle that was lemon and mint and it was amazingggggg, we also love watermelon and strawberry with chia seeds, but we didn't make either of those in this video because our local store was mostly out of produce the day I went. This video shares my recent struggle with depression and may be difficult for some of you to watch. Depression is something that may need to be treated with medicine or a medical professional and I encourage anyone struggling with it to seek help and talk to friends, family or and/or a professiona about what you're going through. You're not alone and your life is so valuable. "My Depression Story" is a title I took from Carly Cristman who bravely shared her own story of depression a couple years ago. She is one of my best friends and someone I both admire and look up to. The past 6 months have been emotionally challenging for me, and in some moments have felt unbearable, but one of the things that encouraged me was knowing that many of you struggle with similar feelings... I knew that if I could be proactive about overcoming my issues it would not only help me but it may also help you, and that's a serious longing of my heart. I made this channel so I could be an encouragement to you and I've been praying like crazy that this video will do that. Especially because this video was scary for me to make .. and extra vulnerable. Until this moment I have not told many people about my recent struggle, so please keep that in mind while you're watching / commenting. I'm sharing very personal things that even some of my family has not heard before. I'm not sharing this stuff as someone who has fully overcome it, but I'm on a journey and I believe there's power in being open and inviting others in along the way. I know that eventually this season of life will be in the past and mostly I'll just remember how cute Eloise was or how great of a dad Shaun was .. or how beautiful Barcelona was .. but for right now I'm working daily on staying healthy and keeping right perspective. I want to keep seeking Jesus because I know that the truest thing about me is that I'm loved by God, and even on my worst day, He can rescue me. There is always always hope. Honestly it feels good to be the "happy girl", the one you all write to telling me how positive I am, so for that reason I have been a little nervous to share so intimately about how bad I've felt. But the truth is we are all broken people just trying to do our best and this video is my attempt to make the most of a hard situation. It's a gift from God that I can sit here and post this when just a couple months ago I was struggling to believe I'd ever feel better. I already feel sooo much better and I know there's even more goodness on its way. God is giving me life and I really know He is taking all of my heart breaking moments and using them to show me how much He loves me and how faithful He is to care for me in the midst of it. I didn't plan to cry in this video .. so just know that. I'm not trying to be click-baity .. just trying to be honest. If you're feeling broken or if you feel like your life doesn't have value- let me be the one to tell you how important you are. This video is meant to be an encouragement for moms. I'm not a professional mama by any means but we sleep trained our baby and then sleep trained her again (a few times) when she was a toddler after long trips so we have lots of experience helping our daughter develop good sleep habits. I hope it helps you! I've spent A LOT of time online trying to find easy ways to get babies to sleep through the night and I haven't found anything super awesome. Hey guys this one is a devotional style life advice video about having vision. It also gives you a glimpse into my life as a mom. Also ... the part where Eloise cries about me laughing ... thats a daily thing. She hates it when I laugh. She also tells me regularly not to talk anymore. She is okay if I am laughing with her or talking with her, but if it is with anyone else she hates it. She will literally say "hate it" and tell me to stop.
