US attempts to gain ‘unprecedented’ access to TikTok | NewsNation Now
#NewsNationNow
The U.S. government and TikTok have been at odds. The Chinese-owned social media app has drawn national security concerns over how it collects and utilizes data from more than 150 million American users. New proposed terms, including how parent company ByteDance would have to give the U.S. government nearly blanket access to the data to potentially avoid a ban, are raising some eyebrows. Digital business executive Seth Schachner says it would be a “balancing act” for the app to come to an agreement with the government.

Unveiling Solar Mysteries: 133 Days on the Sun
Embark on a mesmerizing 133-day voyage through the heart of our closest star with NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). From August 12 to December 22, 2022, SDO captured the Sun's captivating dance of activity in breathtaking detail. With its keen eye and cutting-edge technology, SDO imaged the Sun's surface in mesmerizing 4K x 4K resolution for over a decade, revealing unprecedented insights into our star's enigmatic workings and its profound influence on the solar system.
This time-lapse video offers a spellbinding display of solar dynamics, showcasing the Sun's outermost atmospheric layer, the corona, at a wavelength of 17.1 nanometers. Over the course of these 133 days, equivalent to about four months, the video condenses a wealth of solar observations, revealing the Sun's rotations and the captivating passage of bright active regions across its face. Witness the majestic loops of magnetic fields extending above these active regions, holding scorching plasma, and occasionally igniting into solar flares, illuminating the cosmos.
Despite SDO's tireless vigilance, a few moments eluded its watchful gaze. Dark frames in the video are caused by Earth or the Moon passing between SDO and the Sun, momentarily eclipsing the view. Additionally, technical interruptions and data errors led to other brief blackouts. Transmitting a staggering 1.4 terabytes of data daily, SDO provides an unparalleled understanding of our Sun's intricate nature.
The captivating soundtrack, a continuous mix from Lars Leonhard's "Geometric Shapes" album, adds a harmonious backdrop to this captivating journey. As SDO and other NASA missions continue to scrutinize the Sun, humanity gains deeper insights into our cosmic neighborhood, ensuring the safety of our astronauts and space assets.
Feel the awe of the universe and dive into the Sun's mysteries. Join us in this extraordinary adventure by watching and sharing this video, available for download at https://svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/14263. While the video can be freely shared, certain musical elements and imagery might have specific permissions, as outlined here: https://svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/14263.
