Ground Rod Resistance Testing
Ground Rod Resistance Testing
How to test the ground rod resistance. Code requires a second ground rod if the ground resistance is more than 25 ohms.
Also, the code does not specify the diameter of ground rods above 1/2”. It does say that if the rod is not UL listed then it needs to be at least 5/8” in diameter. Any ground rods you may be required to install that are larger than 5/8” will because the specs ( the Engineer) has called it out as a requirement.
The Code also states that for driven rod electrodes, the electrode conductor does not need to be larger than #6 copper.
Table 250.66 is for sizing all other electrode conductors and bond jumper.

Can you splice CAT5 / CAT6 cables?
Can you splice CAT5 / CAT6 cables?
Field repair of CAT6 computer cable. Cable was connected with wire connectors and then was tested with a LAN cable tester (Qualifier).
This is not the industry standard, however, in an emergency, or other situation the viewer deems appropriate, splicing the cable as shown will work. Ethernet cabling standards are developed to insure that certain performance values are consistently available on the LAN. This is something that you would never do for customer, unless it was a temporary measure and they understood the situation.

Kubota SVL95 skid steer (Track Loader) Adjusting track tension on machine.
The gap tolerance for this machine is 20-30MM or .8 to 1.2 inches or roughly 13/16” to 1-3/16”. Make a gap tool out of wood or anything suitable to easily measure gap.
How to put machine tracks off the ground without using a jack.
Cut some heavy lumber for the purpose and it will save you a lot of time.
