L-39 "Albatros" Raw Jet Flight Footage
This is raw stock footage of two L-39 Aero Vodochody “Albatros” jets (N139CK and N139PK) in flight, flyby, cockpit, low pass, takeoff, and aerobatic clips. N139PK (the blue camouflaged L-39) crashed and was destroyed in 2012. This video (with no audio originally) was given to me in 2012 by a pilot, David Riggs, to supplement my personal L-39 flight video due to the chase plane photographer incorrectly setting up his video camera leaving me no exterior footage of my flight on the brown & green camouflaged L-39 which is seen in this video (Registration N139CK). I've never used any of this footage and decided to post this unedited for the enjoyment of the viewer.
Originally uploaded to the internet June 16, 2016.
--------------
Pilot David Riggs had a checkered past with the FAA having continually violated aviation rules. He and another pilot, both in L-39 jets, buzzed Santa Monica Pier, California in 2008. Riggs also continued to take passengers on L-39 flights after being directed not to by the FAA. On May 18th, 2012, Riggs was flying passengers in violation of the FAA restriction when his wingman crashed in his L-39 (Registration N39WT) killing that pilot and the passenger at Boulder City, Nevada.
Link to NTSB Investigation findings: http://www.aero-news.net/index.cfm?do=main.textpost&id=bc18c752-d0cd-4d62-8960-9edbd628b872
Shortly thereafter, Riggs lost his U.S. pilot's license. Later, he was stunt flying overseas in CHINA when he crashed into Caihu Lake killing himself and his passenger in 2013.
Note: The blue camouflaged L-39 (N139PK) in this video is the SAME L-39 Albatros (changed to N39WT) that crashed in 2012.

Building the Tamiya 1/48th Scale F-15C "Eagle" Fighter Jet
This video was originally published to the internet July 28, 2017.
This video chronicles my build of a 1/48th scale McDonnell Douglas F-15C Eagle fighter Jet – Tamiya kit #61029. I used a mixture of black shading, the marbling/mottling technique, pre-shading, and panel washes to exhibit a weathered effect on the model. Clips of the construction, sanding, masking, overall painting and detailing of this model are shown. I deviated from the decals supplied in the box to custom brand this jet as a Lakenheath RAF based U.S. F-15.

Building the Revell 1/32 Scale F-16 Fighting Falcon Fighter Jet model 1996 vs. 2016
My first internet model build video first posted in July 2016.
This video was originally intended to be a model building, painting, weathering, and comparison of the same F-16 model kit I newly constructed in 2016 vs. one I built in 1996. During the new construction, I became frustrated with the seam line created with the upper and lower fuselage sections. In disgust, I threw the model down and it broke into about 7 parts. This video also now includes my attempt to repair and salvage this model.
For a direct comparison, I did not use any aftermarket items such as detailed cockpits, landing gear bays, etc. However, I did cannibalize a Hasegawa 1/32 scale F-16A/C vertical tail to make the 2016 build more accurate as an F-16A.
----------------------------------------------
Background:
About 2003 I stopped building models. I only had rudimentary modelling skills at that time and I was only using cans of spray paint and simple hand brushing.
I’ve been inspired to try my hand at model building again by many skilled YouTube channel modelers who have generously shared their techniques for painting/airbrushing, shading, weathering, etc.
I’m an amateur builder/painter and this video is more about showing “improvement” from what I’ve learned and just trying to have some fun.

Building AMTs 1/48th Scale F-16A: "The Crash of AZANG #80-0486"
This is a video tweaked from the original version published on YT November 27, 2016.
This video first narrates the story behind the loss of an F-16A (#80-0486), followed by a model building video of this jet with comments about the wreckage recovery of the aircraft with flightline stories, and finally video of a visit to the actual crash site conducted in November 2014.
I am an amateur model builder just slowly getting back into the hobby. You’re NOT likely to see the best model you’ve ever gazed upon! This was by far my poorest model build introduced on the internet.
I hope you find this video entertaining and get some ideas.

Building the Tamiya 1/35 Scale Flakpanzer IV “Wirbelwind” 2003 vs. 2016
This video is a model building, painting, weathering, and comparison of the same Flakpanzer IV model I constructed in 2003 vs. one I’m building (built) in 2016. (I diverged a little from my aviation themed channel to work on my amateur model making skills by building this armor piece).
This upload is slightly different from the original posted to YT in 2016 – there’s a slight increase in lighting, changes in sound, editing out of some camera bumps, and a re-shoot of the final reveal.
This was My Model Corner Project #2 from my amateur series and demonstrates that back then I had a ways to go in improving my video presentations.
----------------------------------------------
Background: About 2003 I stopped building models. The Tamiya 1/35 Scale Flakpanzer “Wirbelwind” was the last model I fully completed then. I’ve been inspired to try my hand at model building again by many skilled internet modelers who have generously shared their techniques for painting, shading, weathering, etc. I’m an amateur builder/painter and this video is more about showing “improvement” from what I’ve learned and just having some fun.

Building the Tamiya 1/48th Scale F-16C Falcon Fighter Jet with “Blizzard” Camouflage
This video documents my build of a Tamiya 1/48th scale F-16C Fighting Falcon Fighter Jet-- Kit #61101. I challenge myself by painting this F-16 in the “Blizzard” Camouflage pattern used the by the 64th Aggressor Squadron based at Nellis AFB, Nevada.
Concurrently, I tell stories of my experiences working with F-16s during my USAF/ANG years. I’ve included pictures and present some salvaged parts I collected over the span of my career.
