Lifesize Strormtrooper
The Stormtrooper was created utilizing the following materials.
Mannequin - Fully adjustable male mannequin (www.zingdisplay.com)
Costume - Collector Supreme Edition, Star Wars, Stormtrooper Costume (Amazon)
Gloves - Rubie's Star Wars Darth Vader Gloves, Black, Adult (Amazon)
Elvis Shoes - (Amazon)
Ribbed Neckseal - (www.triktoys.com)
Helmet - FX Star Wars a New Hope Stormtrooper Helmet (Amazon)
The Helmet that came with the costume was not very good
Main Controller - BooBox Flex Max (FrightProps.com)
DMX to RC Interface - SVR08M 8 channel controller board (nothlightdmx.com)
Remote Control - Wireless Trigger (2-Relay) (FrightProps.com)
I installed a lazy susan bearing where the mannequin would go. I did not use the mannequin head. A rod connected to a servo is used to turn the mannequin head. The fingers were cut from the mannequin hands and servos are used to emulate the Stormtrooper typing. The controller had 2 built in servo channels but I had some issues with them so I bought a DMX to RC converter board. The controller also has a fully programmable DMX output and with the DMC to RC board I was able to obtain additional servo channels.

Analog Meter Talking Clock – Operation
The clock will display the time using 4 analog meters. This clock
announces the time at half hour intervals and plays a message whenever the clock is first powered on. I incorporated time set capability to the clock via a rocker switch and pushbutton interface.
The analog meter gauge plates and pushbutton panel are 3D printed in glow in the dark material so they are always visible. I added ultraviolet LEDs to the gauges and the pushbutton panel that will provide a nice purple lighting effect and charge the glow in the dark material.
The clock is 3D printed and utilizes one Arduino Mega 2560, one Music Maker MP3 shield, one DS1307 real time clock, four rocker switches, one up/down momentary pushbutton switch and 12 3mm ultraviolet LEDs.

Analog Meter Talking Clock - Power Up
The clock will display the time using 4 analog meters. I have seen this type of clock in various incarnations but I never saw an analog clock in this format that talked. I incorporated time set capability to the clock via a rocker switch and pushbutton interface.

Hard Drive Clock
The hard drive clock will display the time via the NeoPixels that are located on the hard
drive platter area. This project is designed around utilizing a discarded notebook 2.5” hard
drive.
The hard drive is mounted to a 3D printed enclosure. The hard drive clock utilizes (1)
Adafruit Metro Mini 328 Arduino compatible controller, (1) ChronoDot - Ultra-precise
Real Time Clock, (1) NeoPixel Ring - 12 x WS2812 5050 RGB LED with Integrated
Drivers, (1) NeoPixel Ring - 24 x WS2812 5050 RGB LED with Integrated Drivers and (2)
Momentary (on)-off-(on) SPDT Up-Down Rocker Switches.

Stargate - DHD No Clock
The Stargate DHD was designed to be a freestanding unit with a center crystal on the DHD
device that will illuminate via two AA batteries. The illumination of the crystal is provided
via a color changing RGB LED. The unit was designed to accommodate a request from a
user that is getting married and wanted to have a Stargate DHD as a centerpiece on each of
the tables at the reception. That was just nerdy and cool enough to peak my interest. The
result is a wedding centerpiece or Stargate prop that any nerd would be proud of. The LED
was running for 5 days straight on the (2) AA batteries with no sign of degradation. I
finally stopped the test since I figured 5 days was a sufficient run time test.
The Stargate DHD is 3D printed and utilizes a single LED powered by two AA batteries.

Back To The Future Clock - Features
The time circuit clock will display the following via the LED displays.
Destination Time – (Top-Red)
The destination time is an area that shows a fixed date and time. This area is used to display an important date in your life such as wedding, Birthday or the date you first discovered this most excellent clock.
Present Time – (Middle-Green)
The present time is the current date and time. You set this initially when you download the Arduino and you can adjust the hour and minute via the RGB LCD display keypad.
Last Time Departed – (Bottom-Yellow)
The last time departed will alternate between three different important dates every 20 seconds. Use this for birthdays, the date you finished building the clock, the day you met your significant other, etc.
Features
The time circuit will announce the time between the hours of 8:00 AM and 9:30 PM. The time is generated via the Music Maker MP3 shield. The audio files for the time announcement was recorded by my wife and are included. To enhance the clock further, I enlisted a voice impersonator that recorded the time announcements as Doc Browns voice. The clock is 3D printed and utilizes (1) Arduino Uno, (1) Music Maker MP3 shield, (1)
ChronoDot real time clock, (1) RGB LCD keypad, (9) 3 mm LEDs, (1) voltage isolator and a few other components.

Stargate DHD Clock
The Stargate DHD clock will display the time using NeoPixel LED’s oriented around a simulated clock face. The clock provides an hourly and half hour chime that can be turned on and off. The hours and minutes can be set via pushbuttons located on rear of the clock base. The center crystal on the DHD clock will illuminate on the hour and half hour for one minute. The illumination of the crystal is provided via a color changing RGB LED.
The hour is represented by a NeoPixel LED changing to red, the minute is represented by a NeoPixel LED changing to green and the seconds are represented by the NeoPixel LEDs changing to a blue color as the second’s increment. Using this method, reading the clock is very intuitive. As the seconds increase, each LED will change to a blue color. The Red (Hour) or Green (Minute) LEDs will not be overwritten by the Blue seconds LEDs.
The clock is 3D printed and utilizes one Arduino UNO, four NeoPixel rings and a real time clock.
