The famous star-forming region known as the
Pillars of Creation was revisited yesterday ina
stunning new image reveal from our telescope
teammate NASA's James Webb Space
Telescope! Check it out: https://www.nasa.

But beyond looking at the pillars, we can listen
to them too. This is a data sonification that
features information from Hubble and Chandra
X-ray Observatory.
Scientists represent data as sound to give us a
different way of experiencing the image.
Sounds are generated by moving horizontally
across the image from left to right as seen in
both Hubble's visible light and Chandra's X-ray
light. The vertical position of the recorded light
controls the pitch.
