In this first video of my cybersecurity degree for free series, I will discuss the CIA triad, which is a security model that is used to protect information. I will also talk about how to get started in cybersecurity, including what some skills you need to dive in.
The CIA triad consists of three pillars: confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Confidentiality means that information is only accessible to authorized users. Integrity means that information is not modified without authorization. Availability means that information is accessible when needed.
