Les performs Riot 4 Austerity from 2013's Ruling Class CD on a strange organ he picked up at a carboot sale. IT was something of a JPTB tribute night at The Angles Wisbech. Les pulls off something eccentric with his soulfull voice, choice of material and instrumentation

The "Machine" just wants to eat us all up. Paranoia is an appropriate vibe man.. It's actually a recycled song. After Cameron and Osbourne got in to launch the "Austerity" schtick, the title and few verses came. But the launch of New Normal pathologised totalitarianism helped us finish the job.

A trad rock rant at phony tribalism. We're all being turned into cartoons, reduced versions of who we are. We're being baited, don't eat it.

This is a sad song, lovely playing by the band, hope you like it's tenderness. it's about gardening as an act of war, 'spraying off' fields, verges and anything messy i.e. wild. Shipping ancient forests across the Atlantic to create "sustainable" power generation and other such crap.
