Lau Pele, also known as Tongan Bele, Slippery Cabbage, and Edible Hibiscus, is considered to be the most nutritious vegetable in all of Oceania. It is so easy to grow!!! With Covid-19, we realized the importance of growing our own food from perenial plants that do not require seeds. They are cultivated most successfully from cuttings. We are wanting to educate people on the benefits, cultivation and preparation of this delicious plant. You can eat it raw or cooked, but to be honest we love it cooked the most.
