Isaiah 52:1-12 “Awake, Oh, Church!”
Isaiah 52:1-12 • Awake, Oh, Church! - Elder Bryce Lowrance (October 10, 2021) The prophecy of Isaiah 52 has its historical fulfillment when Israel was delivered from Babylonian and Persian captivity. But a closer look reveals that Isaiah is pointing toward a much grander deliverance. This prophecy is about the deliverance of the elect family of God by the finished work of Jesus Christ. Therefore, Isaiah is telling the church to awake, preach, and praise God in song.

Psalm 61 • The Rock That Is Higher Than I
Psalm 61 • The Rock That Is Higher Than I - Elder Bryce Lowrance (October 3, 2021) Preaching from Psalm 61, Elder Bryce teaches about the progression of the four “I Will” statements David makes in this Psalm. David says “I will cry.” Since the Lord will hear and answer, David says that he will abide in the tabernacle of God and trust Him. Finally, David recognizes that all his hope and peace comes from the Lord so he says, “I will sing praises.”

Ephesians • 23. The Breastplate of Righteousness
Ephesians Series • 24. The Breastplate of Righteousness Ephesians 6:14b, pt. 1 (October 25, 2020) Elder Bryce continues to look at Paul’s charge to us to put on the whole armor of God in order to be prepared as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. We need natural armor to fight natural warfare. We also need spiritual armor to fight spiritual battles. Much like a bullet-proof vest, the breastplate of righteousness protects are heart. Our understanding of righteousness is very vital to how we live every day.

Psalm 137 • By the Rivers of Babylon
Psalm 137 • By the Rivers of Babylon - Elder Bryce Lowrance (September 26, 2021) Psalm 137 is ironic in that it is a song about not being able to sing. The children of Israel were in captivity in Babylon and could not sing a song of joy because they were mourning for their sins and were away from Zion. We too should have this same attitude about our sins and the things that would separate us from the Lord's church.

Ephesians • 23. Loins Girt About With Truth
Ephesians Series • 23. Loins Girt About With Truth Ephesians 6:14a (October 18, 2020) The pandemic, upheaval in local and federal government, and riots in the streets of America's largest cities shows that we are definitely enduring a battle with the forces of darkness in high places. Through all of this turmoil, many are claiming to speak the truth and persuade the masses to follow them. In today's message, Elder Bryce reminds us that what the Bible says is true. We need to have Biblical truth as the foundation of our lives or we can be easily fooled into following dangerous false doctrines.

Ephesians • 11. Reconciled in One Body
Ephesians Series • 11. Reconciled in One Body Ephesians 2:11-22 (July 5, 2020) In the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic, political unrest brought tension and riot to the streets of America. Hatred, racism, and violence filled the streets and the media. In response to all the rhetoric, Elder Bryce turns to scripture to show that all the horrible things occurring in the world are nothing new. All the things we see are the symptoms of a much larger problem – sin. Jesus Christ broke down the wall between God and His children. At the same time, He broke down the walls between men. The answer to any tension we have is not found in politics. The answer is the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Perfect Law of Liberty (James 1)
The Perfect Law of Liberty • July 4, 2021 (James 1:17-27) The writer, James, expounds upon the conclusion Jesus makes in the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 7. He gives further examples of the life of those who rejoice in the preaching of the gospel but do not apply it to their lives. They have no true identity and seem to be lost in this world. To the contrary, those that hear the gospel and try to live it in their daily lives, see Christ in themselves. They have peace and enjoy “true liberty.”

The people of God can take great comfort that Christ loves His bride and will protect her with all His power. The nations of the world should take heed and “kiss the Son” by acknowledging his almighty power and dominion.

Psalm 48 • The Church is Beautiful for Situation
Psalm 48 • June 6, 2021 Although the author and occasion of this Psalm are unknown to us, the character and content of the Psalm fits very well to the reign of King Jehoshaphat. In particular, this Psalm reflects the victory he was given when God defeated the three armies that came against him at once. The spiritual application is much like the natural history of Judah. Zion, the church, is in the perfect place to bless and protect God’s people. It is the duty of all the elect to gather themselves in a local church to “greatly praise” the Lord!

Justification • (May 30, 2021) Brother Jonah preaches from Galatians on the topic of attempting to justify ourselves by our own works. Elder Bryce continues with the same subject in Romans 7 and 8. We see from the example of the Apostle Paul that we will never find peace if we seek to justify ourselves outside of trusting and resting in the finished work of Christ. When we seek to love others, we fulfill the law, and we feel justified.
