Eddie Condon - That Toddlin' Town, Chicago Jazz Revisited (1959) [Complete 1985 Reissue LP]
One Of Our Deleted Albums Series
Eddie Condon was a significant figure in early to mid 20th century jazz. (See below for more information.)
He originally released this album in 1959 on Atlantic Records. This is a 1985 reissue by Atlantic Records of the original 1959 release. The 1985 reissue has since been deleted from the Atlantic Records catalogue and, as far as I can tell, is currently unavailable in any format.
Today most people think of Atlantic Records in connection with bands like Led Zeppelin but Atlantic Records was originally a jazz and R&B label which released a lot of excellent jazz and R&B albums and singles from the late 1940's and throughout the 1950's.
Track List:
1. Chicago 0:00
2. I've Found A New Baby 2:29
3. Love Is Just Around The Corner 5:37
4. Liza 9:38
5. There'll Be Some Changes Made 13:31
6. Oh Baby 17:39
7. Someday Sweetheart 20:52
8. Shi Me Sha Wabble 24:16
9. Friar's Point Shuffle 27:48
10. Nobody's Sweetheart 31:36
Credits:
Eddie Condon- guitar
Max Kaminsky - trumpet
Cutty Cutshawl - trombone
Bud Freeman - tenor sax
Pee Wee Russell - clarinet
Dick Cary - piano
Leonard Gaskin - bass
George Wettling - drums
Produced By George Avakian
Recorded 26, 27 February 1959 in New York City
