Why I Love Christmas - Dan Thoughts 4
Why I Love Christmas - Dan Thoughts 4
Most people believe that all of us are a “child of God,” with infinite worth. And many believe, as I do, that there is an infinite being in the universe, who knows and loves you infinitely.
From the—You Have Infinite Worth Channel, the Dan Thoughts collection (which can be easily watched and/or read any time)
—Why I Love Christmas. Perhaps you do too.
As you may know, Christmas began as a celebration of Jesus Christ, the son of God. And for many in the world, that’s what Christmas still is.
Yes, Christmas time of year is more joyful, loving, giving, and so on. And whether you know or believe in Jesus Christ—His wonder comes alive.
I love Christmas—and I love Jesus Christ.
(Now let’s have some fun!)

You Saved My Life - Dan Life Stories 5
You Saved My Life - Dan Life Stories 5
If you are a child of God (an infinite and perfect being), who knows and loves you infinitely—and thus, have infinite worth—then…
Before one Christmas, a few years back… about dinner time
—I got a thought to take the garbage out.
And I did, but afterwards
—I saw a young man sitting on the curb.
I went over to talk a little, and he said something that shocked me
—“You saved my life.”
Okayyyy…uh… How’d I do that?
—and he told me his story.
He was hopeless… no work, wife wanting to go… daughter worries…
—and he was thinking suicide.
But he said a prayer, which he hadn’t done in a long time
—and took off walking.
He had asked for a sign… Do you know and love me?
—Is there hope? A reason to live?
Tanner walked for a long time…
—but after a while he came by our house.
And he saw the sign my wife felt to put up : “This Home Believes.”
—It hit him hard… opened his soul… and peace rushed in.
We talked for awhile… about hopeful things…
—he said he had a place to stay, and money for food.
We had a prayer together… right there on the sidewalk
—as the cars drove by… then he walked away.
I’m glad the Infinite Love… God… used us
—and that we listened enough to do something.

Dan Thoughts 3 - The First Step in the Solution
Dan Thoughts 3 - The First Step in the Solution
I think you’d agree, if we aren’t on the same page about the facts
—we’ll have different opinions.
And I’ve noticed that smart and well-informed people (on different sides)
—whether in the media, or privately
—who are honest and loving…
—talk about the reasons to believe one viewpoint, or another
—and include some of the facts, and leave out others
—and even debate whether something is a fact, or it isn’t.
I’ve also noticed that we live in a world of imperfect communication
—where meanings are sent imperfectly
—and meanings are received imperfectly.
So it sounds to me, that the first step in the solution is
—to find out clearly, what opposing sides say the key facts are, and why.

Dan Thoughts 2 - Why Do People Disagree?
Dan Thoughts 2 - Why Do People Disagree?
I’ve noticed that people have different beliefs
—and not just core beliefs, like, is there a God?
People disagree, have different views and opinions…
—in politics, religion, health, and just about everything.
And I ask myself
—why do people believe differently?…
I think some of the reasons are:
—what I call foundation questions
—I’ll talk about that another time.
And I’ve noticed that people disagree
—on what the facts are
—the true information.
If we aren’t on the same page about the key facts
—wouldn’t we have different beliefs about a topic?
To me, the first step in the solution is
—knowing the truth, the important information, the facts.
Then we can see if an opinion gets off the ground.

Dan Life Stories 4 - I Heard God Laugh
Dan Life Stories 4 - I Heard God Laugh
After my divorce I was really down—and thought about a lot of things. One day I heard a speaker talking about her near death experience.
I ended up thinking about the tough, unfair things that I was born into, that happened in my life—and I got angry. I felt anger at God. You ever done that?
But as I started feeling anger, and trying to understand what wrongs had been done, and what God had done, and to blame God… I heard God laugh. Yeah, no kidding.
And my anger left. I knew God knew everything. I knew God understood me and my situation completely, and loved me… and I saw the humor in my thinking. I couldn’t be mad—not at God—just disappointed in myself, and the trials I had to face.
I can’t be angry at God.
I’m glad I heard God laugh.

Dan Life 2 - Is it Big Enough?
(Digging a hole to plant a new Apricot tree—named her “Popcorn.”)

O my golly!
(swings a pick)
(throws two big rocks out)
There’s got to be some dirt down there somewhere . . .
Do you think the hole is big enough?
Katie: Looks like a grave to me.
Dan: (chuckles)

Dan Life Stories 3 - They Thought I Was Lost
Dan Life Stories 3 - They Thought I Was Lost
My mom told me a kind of funny story—
when I was about 2 years old.
I turned up missing one day—
and she and the family couldn’t find me.
They looked everywhere for a long time—
and, of course, were worried.
Finally, about a half mile from the house—
they found me.
I was riding my tricycle, down the middle of a busy road—
mixing it up with the cars.
Hey, I had my ride—
and they had their’s.
Of course, after finding me—
yeah, you know where that’s going.
Ouch!

Dan Life Stories 2 - No Strangers on the Block
When I was kid growing up—my mom told me—
there were no strangers on the block.
I guess I wanted to know everyone—
and met them.
And at the Air Force Bases where we lived—
there were lots of kids to meet.
Later, when I was 6—
I lived in a neighborhood with all kinds of kids.
We played ball, hung out, and were friends—
It was a good time.
I always thought—people were people—
like family.
I hope I can I still act like that—
with no strangers on the block.

Dan Life Stories 1 - Thankfully I Made Amends
Dan Life Stories 1 - Thankfully I Made Amends
You ever do something wrong?
One day when I was about 9 years old—after playing with some friends I went into a store—and I remember looking at the candy bars, and I was hungry, and I sure wanted one, but I didn’t have any money—and you know what happened? Yeah, temptation hit—I got the thought to take one, and sneak out.
Anything like that happen to you?
Well, unfortunately, I grabbed a bar, hid it in my pocket, and took off. I tried to enjoy it, but couldn’t. It ate at me. I knew it was wrong.
After a while, a long while, I knew I had to go back—but then I was scared, and worried about getting in trouble—but I wanted to be forgiven.
Finally, after another long while, I got the courage, and got some money, and headed back to the store. My heart was pounding, and I was moving slow, but I talked to the owner.
And what happened?—Thankfully, the owner was gracious, and kind, and accepted my payment.
Whew! I felt good after that—I was glad I made amends. Who knows what my life would have been like, if I hadn’t listened to those thoughts and feelings of guilt?
I want peace in my life.

You Have Infinite Worth - Dan Thoughts 1
You Have Infinite Worth - Dan Thoughts 1
The real you, your essence, has infinite worth.
People have different minds,
different bodies,
different colors,
different...,
and so on.
People have different wealth,
different trials,
different beliefs,
different...,
and so on.
People are different.
Even though your mind is different than others,
You have infinite worth.
Even though your body is different than others,
You have infinite worth.
Even though your color is different than others,
You have infinite worth.
Even though your wealth is different than others,
You have infinite worth.
Even though your trials are different than others,
You have infinite worth.
Even though your beliefs are different than others,
You have infinite worth.
Even though your… is different than others,
You have infinite worth.
The real you, your essence, has infinite worth. It always has.
YOU HAVE INFINITE WORTH—EVERYONE DOES
