Ever been in a situation in which your back was against the wall and you had no where to turn to for help but God? The same with Hezekiah. The king of Assyria (Sennacherib) made some bold challenges, even challenging God Himself. With all that is happening in the world or with your family, job, etc. , it is easy to get stressed out. Focusing on the problem and not the solution can cause the chaos to spiral out of control and then, hopelessness will settle in. Peter took a bold move to come out to Jesus and walk on water, but the chaos of the wind and waves caused him to take his focus off of Jesus. After sinking and crying out to Jesus, Jesus came to his rescue. Jesus is always there, ready to rescue us as we go through our storms, but always remember to keep your eyes on Jesus during these sinking times. Think about it. It was never planned. You were washing dishes, walking in a parking lot of your favorite store, or sitting at a sporting event and suddenly, you came to know the Lord through someone speaking to you, a gospel tract, or other methods used. It wasn't planned on your account, but it was planned and ordained by God Himself. The same goes with the woman at the well. She did not plan to run into Jesus, but Jesus was there waiting for her and provided the answer to her life spiraling out of control. Today's title say's it all. "Married Love Is To Be Protected." Not from the attacks that come at both the husband and wife, but the entire family. The family was the first thing that God ordained and blessed when He created both Adam and Eve and gave Eve to Adam to be His wife and for Adam to be Eve's wife. However, attacks not only come to both the husband and wife, but also their children, as seen with Cain and Able. Today, more and more kids are acceptable to what the world is doing and the ease of accessing all sorts of things that are not acceptable or should be allowed in a Christian home. Both the husband and wife must do all they can and with the help of God to defend their marriage and their family.

Though Gideon did not feel like he was a "mighty warrior" as God told him that he was, he ended up defeating an entire army with such a small band of soldiers that God had Gideon select after several events. During the night, with torches in one hand and clay jars in the other hand, they were able to obey God and by doing so, the broken pitchers that Gideon and his army shattered, revealing the light ended up allow God to fight for Gideon, defeating his enemies. We too are clay pitchers that God wants to break so that we can allow our light to shine, defeating enemies while winning the hearts to God.
