Their petition was initially denied, and now it is on appeal to hear oral arguments on December 5, 2023. This landmark case discusses whether private individuals can petition the Grand Jury outside prosecutorial discretion to charge corrupt officials. The Grand Jury was set up as an independent legal body charged with investigating cases brought before them by U.S. citizens, even though state or federal prosecutors traditionally have standing before the Grand Jury. The petition was denied in the Oregon State Court because it ruled that private citizens had no standing to file its petition. God confirms His covenant with the Israelites in the wilderness. Then God shows Moses on His mountain the blueprints and plans for building His Tabernacle, where God will reside with these people. God's tent house was very fancy, using materials like fine linens, gold, silver, bronze, perfumes, royal colors of red, purple, blue, and so forth. It was a marvelous task of building His people to participate in building His house so that God would dwell with them. He trained his chosen priests to perform the sacrifices and sanctify the people within his temple. This would have been a wonderous site to see when it was all completed. The inner court was holy of holies, and the outer court was where people could gather. The priests had specific duties to maintain the temple. God finally met with His people from Mount Sinai and gave them His Ten Commandments- His standards for people to learn to live with God. The Commandments are summarized into 3 parts: 1) Love God with all your heart and not make idols for yourself to worship; 2) Live a holy life applied to the personhood--not commit murder or adultery and honor your father and mother; 3) love your neighbor and don't covet your neighbor's stuff or his household. Jesus, also Yahweh, summarized the Ten Commandments down to one law: to love God with all your heart and love your neighbors as yourself. Yet, the people didn't recognize who He was in the flesh and wanted to kill Him, which they did, violating all of the Ten Commandments at once. God raised Pharaoh to rule Egypt, knowing he would be a tyrant to His people. God also raised Moses to go to Pharaoh and deliver His people from slavery bondage. Moses and the Hebrew slaves did not know their God as of yet. To deliver them, God sends Pharroh His ten judgments upon his land and people to demonstrate His power. With each plague, Pharaoh refused, and his heart continually hardened. He began to repent a little but ultimately trusted in his sorcerers and magicians to perform similar miracles but using magic and dark arts. God revealed His true power and glory to all people in the land. He made gnats out of the dust of the ground like he created Adam. God protected the Hebews while taking judgment upon Pharaoh and his people. Pharaoh's magicians and sorcerers gave up as they could not perform their tricks to keep up with God's demonstration of miracles happening before their eyes. They also ended up getting sick with boils. Exodus is a typology of what is happening today with modern-day Pharaohs entangled with Pharmacia and sorcery to deceive the whole world. God allowed the modern-day plagues to be a judgment on the wicked while protecting His people. We are at this time in Exodus to repeat itself. We are enslaved in the beast system ruled by hardened Pharaohs. God sends Moses to speak to Pharaoh to let His people go, but he refuses. After 400 years of slavery, the Hebrew slaves were greatly oppressed. Pharaoh cut off the straw to make the bricks to build his cities but kept his quota to produce the bricks the same. He made their lives miserable, and their spirit was broken. God saw the Hebrews' oppression to intervene and free them from their bondage. He raised Parroh to be in his position and hardened his heart so God could demonstrate His power to all people. God also raised Moses to be in his place to build faith in Moses and Hebrews and reveal Himself to His people. This duality story ultimately revealed God's power and character for all generations. Exodus is especially relevant today, given the plagues unleashed in modern times. Moses met God on top of Mount Sinai in the Saini Penisula-Mount Horab. He sees a burning bush where the Angel of the Lord spoke to him through the fire that was burning but not consuming the bush. The Bible verses confirm that the Angel of the Lord is Yahweh himself as God speaks to Moses on the mountain. Moses asked his name, and God answered, "I Am Who I Am." Exodus 3:14. ater in the New Testament, Jesus revealed that he is the same God that spoke to Moses, referring to himself as "I Am." John 8:58-- concrete evidence stating that Jesus is Yahweh of the OT and is the same God from the beginning to the end. It's Jesus all along, even though God represents himself in many forms: The Angel of the Lord, Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. In conclusion, in Genesis, the Israelites gave themselves to the Egyptian Pharaoh to become his slaves to survive the harsh famine in the land. We now begin the book of Exodus. The Hebrews lived in captivity in Egypt as slaves for 400 years. God heard the cries of Hebrew slaves and set a plan to free them from Pharaoh. Pharaoh became concerned that the Hebrews grew in numbers and multiplied exceedingly. He then decreed that all Hebrew firstborn males be killed while allowing their daughters to live. The midwives obeyed God and did not kill the male babies. God blessed the midwives with their own families. Moses' mother hid baby Moses for a little while until she could no longer hide him. She made a basket to put Moses in it and then placed the basket in the River Nile. Pharaoh's daughter saw the basket and the baby and decided to raise Moses as her child. She also called Moses' real mother to nurse him and pay her wages. God ordained this story to protect Moses from Pharaoh's death mandate and place him directly under Pharaoh's household. Jacob blesses his sons before he dies. Joseph also blesses his sons before he dies and is buried in a coffin in Egypt. Each blessing to the twelve tribes is prophetic to carry out God's plan for us today. Some tribes were cursed because of their evil deeds, while others were blessed. This is a conclusion to the book of Genesis and God's everlasting promise to the Israelites and the rest of his people who enter his Kingdom by faith. Joseph is now second in command and ruling all of Egypt to fulfill God's prophecy to save all the people in the land, including his brothers and their household. The land had a great famine, and his brothers came to Egypt to buy grain. Joseph sees them, but the brothers do not recognize him as their own. Eventually, Joseph reveals himself to the brothers who tried to kill him and sold him off to slavery. But he cared for them, saving and delivering them from the famine. All eleven brothers bow down to Joseph as he dreamt and shared with his jealous brothers. Joseph is now in a dungeon prison and well respected by his fellow inmates and guards. He was put in charge of all other inmates and managed them well. He interpreted the dreams of two inmates and told one to tell Pharaoh of this gift of interpretation. But he forgot. Then Pharaoh had his dreams that disturbed him of the skinny and fat cows, and he called Joseph to interpret them. The dreams came from God, and interpretation also came from God. Joseph explained the coming 7-year famine and how to prepare for it. Thus, Pharaoh put him in charge of all of Egypt to become second in command, fulfilling prophecy. This story is the male version of Cinderella. Dinah, Leah's only daughter, went off with the Canaanites' daughters to the market and was raped by a well-to-do Canaanite man. He raped her and then wanted to marry her. So, he told his father to make deals with Jacob to marry Dinah. Dinah's two brothers hatched a plan for revenge against them and their household. They made a deal to require their circumcision so they could be part of the Hebrews covenant, allow marriage, and exchange each other daughters to marry their sons. It was a good deal, but it was all a ploy for the brothers to take revenge when all the men were in pain and vulnerable. They killed all the men and took their possessions. The end of Dinah's story is not told about what happened to her, but she could not marry, having been defiled and her brothers killing her rapist who sought to be her husband. Jacob is told to return to his father's lands, but he fears what Essau, his older brother, whom he cheated out of his birthright and blessings, will do to him in revenge. God sent his angels ahead of him to protect Jacob and prepare Essau for his brother's return. Before Jacob met his older brother, he wrestled with God all night to receive His blessing. Jacob prevailed against God as it was told, but God humbled him by touching his hip socket to have injured him. Bible study of Genesis 6, the Sons of God sin against God to marry earthly women. These fallen angels lusted after beautiful women, born of Adam and Eve. The women who married them willingly participated in upgrading their lives with handsome angels who were the great men of that day. Their offspring created the hybrids Nephilims. This sin of disobeying God multiplied great evil and violence on the earth, where God had to destroy all creatures with the breath of life. All life was corrupted genetically and spiritually, having corrupted hearts. The Nephilims were referred to as giants and renowned men of that day. They were taller and possessed superpowers than the average humans God created in Adam and Eve. These giants became the demigods of the old world, where the whole earth began worshipping the fallen angels and their offspring as gods. All the ancient gods described in various religious texts, like the Hindu and Greek demigods, were these Neplliums giants. As the hybrid human race died, their immortal spirits became demon spirits. These disembodied spirits could only experience their desires by possessing humans, unable to live eternally with God and unable to live in their own dead fleshly bodies. We cover Genesis 4 and 5, a story of Cain and Able. Cain commits the first murder, as Able is the first death in the Bible to die from his brother's rage and jealousy. God rejected Cain's crop offering while accepting Abel's best meat offering from his flock. Why did God reject Cain's offering, and why did Cain commit murder? The Bible explains in later books that Cain's works were wicked and his spirit was of the devil, i.e., the serpent's seed. Satan seduced Eve through his lies that if she ate from the forbidden tree of knowing good and evil, she would surely not die.
