Zoe is known to ALWAYS be around. We never have to look for her or wonder where she's gone, until recently. A few times she just was not here and we didn't know really what to think. This little gosling seems to have lost his family. He came in the back where a lot of the geese families gather in the evening but none of the families claimed him. He started to wander off towards Zoe who handled the situation like a good girl (I wouldn't have let her hurt it). There are other families that hang out across the street by the bay and the little guy walked all the way down to the bay by himself to look for his family. Not sure what happened to him after that. Last year, we sprinkled $30.00 worth of wild flower seeds in this area only to see it get washed away in a flood a week later. This year, we are betting on no flooding..... Except we're doing zinnia seeds and we're placing them one foot apart so they get enough breathing room. Floki cat supervises us to make sure we do it right. There has not been a beach since we moved to Wisconsin in 2018 due to the high lake levels on Lake Michigan and massive flooding.
