Vapor Barrier, Insulation foam board under slab diy Garage build EP 9
Laying down under slab plastic vapor barrier and ridgid foam insulation board to insulate the concrete monolithoc slab. You need a good vapor barrier to keep moisture from coming up through your concrete slab. In a cold climate like mine a good ridgid foam is needed to keep from having a lot of heat loss into the ground. I checked into under slab closed cell spray foam instead of going this route but it was a lot more expensive.
Make sure to have a good laser transit to keep track of your elevations as you go. If you have to rent it a number of times it may be worth just buying one, it was for me. I'm really happy with the accuracy of the one I have and will link it below.
https://amzn.to/3ddiXPc here is the Topcon laser transit level that I use for all this building prep. Super accurate and easy to use. I love mine. If you have to rent it a number of times anyways I think it’s worth just buying one.

Crushed gravel spread raked packed concrete slab prep diy Garage Build ep 8
Getting under concrete slab prep underway. Got 3/4 crushed gravel spread out, raked out, and packed down with a walk behind plate compacter so we will have a nice base for the concrete floor. I hired a local company with a conveyor truck to spread out the 3/4 crushed gravel with fines in it so it packs down good. The truck saves a lot of time of hauling the gravel in and getting it close. I still had to do some raking and shoveling to get it right but it helped a lot I would say. It was worth it to me for the extra load charge. Back to the gravel here in my area it's called 3/4 crush or 3/4 minus. As long as it has the fines in it too so it packs nice and hard is the main thing. We watered it good and packed it quite a few times over as well then checked it with the string line every 2' to make sure it was nice and flat for thre foam board coming up in the next video.
My advice make sure to have a good laser transit to keep track of your elevations as you go. If you have to rent it a number of times it may be worth just buying one, it was for me. I'm really happy with the accuracy of the one I have and will link it below.

Forming up the Mono Slab Footers Garage Build diy EP 5
Forming up the footers for the 16 inch thickened perimeter edge concrete floor mono slab for the diy garage shop build. A monolithic slab is a single continuous slab of concrete that is poured at the same time as your floor. You can use mono slab ez form if you want which is fast once leveled but it's very pricey, so I decided to just use 2x10 and 2x6 that I will reuse later in the build. I used my original string lines that I set up from the start and double checked my measurements before starting. I got my elevations with the laser level but the strings kept me in place for sideways.
My advice make sure to have a good laser transit to keep track of your elevations as you go. If you have to rent it a number of times it' may be worth just buying one, it was for me. I'm really happy with the accuracy of the one I have and will link it below.

Digging Mono Slab Footers Garage Build diy EP 4
Digging the footers for the monolith slab foundation for the garage build. You can dig the footers by yourself if you use a back hoe or mini excavator. You can rent them just about anywhere, or use what you have. Maybe borrow one from a friend. ;) My advice just make sure to have a good laser transit to keep track of your elevations and check them often as you go.
Make sure to call utility location service to be sure it's safe before you dig.

Simple easy method for sloping drain pipe #shorts
Simple trick for keeping the correct slope on drain drain. Use a block on the end of your level for however long your level is in however much you need to drop whether it’s a quarter inch per foot or an eighth inch per foot. For example a quarter inch per foot drop on a 6 foot level is an inch and a half block. Or on a 4 foot level it would be a 1 inch block. The nice thing with doing this is if you put your block on the downhill side you can always read right on level. It takes the guesswork out of it. Hope this helps someone. #SlopingDrainPipe #Drainpipe #Plumbing #DrainLine #quarterinchperfoot #SepticLine #FrenchDrain #WaterRunoff #PVCpipe

Convert Milwaukee Framing Nailer from 30 to 21 Degree Magazine Swap
Easily switch out convert Milwaukee Fuel framing nailer from 30 degree to 21 degree so you can use different angle stick nails. No modifying to the gun just to the magazine. It's easy to swap over your nailer magazine from 30 to 21 degree with a little grinding, sanding, or filing. I got the 21 degree extended framing nailer magazine for my mine and swapped it over in just a few minutes. It definitely fits with a little adjustment to the magazine and no modifying to the actual gun which is good news.

DIY Base Cabinet Build for food pantry Part 2
Building a diy base cabinet part 2. Build a base cabinet yourself diy. I built this base cabinet for our food pantry in our pole barn house.
I wanted to make this video to give you ideas how it possible to do it with just a few tools without spending too much, and limited work areas. I finally got part 2 done.
If you missed part one go watch that first. https://youtu.be/bH_lQpVTB_Y
Total cost for this build including everything was $1058.27. This way I was able to build it with solid wood and 3/4 inch plywood shelves so it will hold a lot of weight. Most of the cabinets I looked at were just made with pressboard and the cheapest most basic cabinets you can find. It was $1600 just for the for the 4 base cabinets.
