On 2/6/2019 Officer Wonka initiated a traffic stop for speeding on N Interstate 265 between Lagrange Rd and Old Henry Rd. The subject operating the vehicle put on her flashers and continued north until she came to a complete stop at the bottom of the ramp from Interstate 265 to Westport Road. Officer Wonka approached the driver side of the vehicle and asked for the operators license The driver complied, and then Officer Wonka asked for the vehicles insurance information, the subject rolled up her window, locked the doors and told Officer Wonka to back away, that she was scared, wanted another officer and refused to comply with his orders. Officer Wonka knocked on the window and then tried to open the driver side door which caused the door handle to break off in his hand. Other officers arrived on scene within a few minutes, the subject was detained briefly during the investigation and she was issued a traffic citation. Wonka's body was activated during the entire incident along with his in-car camera. Officer Raymond Wonka is still employed by the tax payers and receives $75,464 To violate and humiliate tax payers, even in front of their children. How pathetic. If you would like to support further On November 16, 2020, Captain Switzer reported finding letters allegedly written by Officer Litzy Saravia to a 16-year-old youth, Alondra, suggesting a secret relationship. These letters indicated that Saravia, who was engaged, and Alondra were involved romantically and emphasized secrecy. The letters were secured by Lt. Harper, who filed a Serious Incident Report (SIR). Saravia, assigned to the unit where Alondra stayed, was scheduled to work again on November 18, 2020. Meanwhile, Alondra was transferred to Macon YDC on the morning of November 16, 2020, with further updates pending. She received money from Freeman's mother, Flora Freeman, and was instructed to transfer it for the purchase of contraband. Mr. Simmons reported hearing a gunshot but did not know its direction. Investigator Brooks located the impact point on the vehicle and collected evidence, including a silver, rust-colored dust in the dent. Surveillance cameras on the side of the house captured footage of the incident, showing a tan or brown vehicle pulling up nearby and a black male in all black exiting the vehicle, walking towards the road, and then returning to the car with a gun in hand after the glass breakage. Upon reviewing the video, Deputy Bostick and Investigator Brooks noticed that Mr. Simmons' clothing matched that of the individual in the footage. Mr. Simmons became frustrated during questioning and refused to answer further questions. A bullet casing was found near the scene, matching the gun seen in the video. The video was sent to Investigator Brooks for further analysis, which helped in identifying the shooter. Mr. Simmons was arrested at 321 MLK Street after his clothing was matched to that in the video. He surrendered a 9MM gun that matched the casing found. Investigator Brooks located the impact point on the vehicle and collected evidence, including a silver, rust-colored dust in the dent. Surveillance cameras on the side of the house captured footage of the incident, showing a tan or brown vehicle pulling up nearby and a black male in all black exiting the vehicle, walking towards the road, and then returning to the car with a gun in hand after the glass breakage. On September 16, 2019 at approximately 2333 hours, 9th Mobile Division detectives observed a vehicle driving erratically in the area of Indian Trail and Poplar Level Road in the 6th Division. The detectives got behind the vehicle and ran the license plate. The vehicle came back stolen through NCIC. The detectives followed the vehicle and waited for other 9th Mobile detectives to arrive in the area before initiating a stop The suspect vehicle pulled into the a gas station. As the detectives pulled into the parking lot, they observed what appeared to be a domestic struggle within the vehicle and a female quickly exited the passenger side as if she was in distress ,Detectives decided to initiate a traffic stop in the parking lot. Detective Benzing drove in front of the suspect vehicle to prevent the suspect vehicle from evading the traffic stop. As Detective Gadegaard pulled in behind the suspect vehicle, he initiated his emergency equipment. When this occurred, the suspect drove forward into Detective Benzing’s police vehicle. The driver’s side of the suspect vehicle collided with the front passenger fender of Detective Benzing’s police vehicle The collision caused minor damage to the police vehicle and moderate damage to the suspect’s stolen vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene. A vehicle pursuit commenced as Sergeant Casper was in proximity of and aware of the pursuit. The case ended on foot S/B through the houses This was the last time the suspect was seen The suspect evaded capture on September 16th. The following day, 9th Mobile detectives continued the investigation and located the juvenile suspect. The juvenile suspect was arrested, charged accordingly and transported to LMYDC without further incident. At several points in time during the pursuit, the LMPD Air Unit was involved, but was unable to maintain a continuous visual on the suspect vehicle due to air traffic control light restrictions. Note: Detective Benzing failed to activate his WVS. He completed the proper paperwork and he was verbally counseled. The church has a no trespassing sign at the front entrance, a barbed wire fence and an old dilapidated playground. As I was conducting the audit I was confronted by some very strange people from the church. They did not seem to happy that I was snooping around. Summary HOPBS obtained approval to receive VA education assistance benefits by representing to the VA, among other things, that it was providing courses to veterans and other eligible persons that were taught by HOPBS instructors at HOPBS facilities.HOPBS represented to the VA that those facilities were located in Hinesville and Hephzibah, GA, within the Southern District of Georgia, and also in Fayetteville, NC, Killeen, TX, and Tacoma, WA. Upon each veteran’s enrollment, a HOPBS School Certifying Official certified to the VA by way of VA Forms 22-1999 that each veteran was receiving the allotted hours HOPBS then received direct tuition payments from the VA under the Post-9/11 GI Bill.Between January 2013 and February 2022, approximately 304 veterans were enrolled in courses at HOPBS. VA enrollment certification records, certified by HOPBS School Certifying Officials, reflected that a majority of veterans were enrolled as full-time students at HOPBS requiring at least 18 hours of in-person attendance per week. From January 2013 to January 2022, VA paid veteran students enrolled at HOPBS under various VA education benefit programs approximately $15,952,721 in the form of tuition, housing allowances, and stipends. This was during a week when other key personnel were away, making Smith the only Troop E commissioned officer on duty. Major Eddie Grier ordered an administrative investigation into the matter. Investigations confirmed that Smith was indeed listed on the GSP Duty Roster during the times in question. Witnesses, including other officers, saw Smith at the Masters Golf Tournament location, seemingly working a private security job. Smith was also connected to a company named Augusta Sports & Travel (AST), which provides lodging and ticketing services during the Masters Golf Tournament. Smith admitted to receiving a "finder's fee" from AST in December 2013 for securing a contract with Molson Coors. Throughout the week of April 7-11, Smith reported himself as being on duty with the GSP, but evidence and his own admissions suggest he spent most of this time at AST, doing little to no GSP work.
