Shark Tooth Fossil 🦈 Found in Florida #mondaydigs #viral #treasure #amazing #fossil #shark #bones
Shark Tooth Fossil
Found in Florida
Shark Teeth take around 10,000 years to fossilize.
This looks like a worn-down tooth, it's brown and tan on the tooth and black on the root.
Mako Sharks started in the Miocene and Pliocene era around 3 to 20 million years ago.
They are an Ancestor of the great white shark.
It is said that for every 40 megalodon teeth found, 1 Mako tooth is located.
(I don't know if I believe that, Its because I've never found a Meg tooth lol)
Wearing a Mako shark tooth necklace connects the owner with the spirit of the shark,
giving him strength, energy, and masculine power. These amulets were passed in families from generation to generation.
What does a shark tooth symbolize?
Wearing a shark tooth at sea is believed to protect you
According to a Hawaiian legend a young Hawaiian warrior once battled a sea god, he won the battle, and when he emerged
from the sea, he was wearing a shark tooth necklace that symbolizes strength and protection.

65 Million Year Old Fossil #dinosaur #jurassicworld #jurassicpark #fossil #viral #treasure #old #wow
65 Million-Year-Old Fossil
Pelecypod Bivalve Clams - These fossils are Aproxametly 65 Million Years Old
Both of these were found in Madagascar
What type of fossil is a Pelecypod?
The Pelecypods are a type of mollusk that has two shells, hence the common name of bivalves.
How old is the Pelecypod fossil?
Inoceramus, a genus of extinct pelecypods (clams) found as fossils in Jurassic to Cretaceous rocks (laid down between 199.6 million and 65.5 million years ago).
What is the fossil of bivalves?
Fossil bivalves were formed when the sediments in which they were buried hardened into rock. Many closely resemble living forms, which helps us to understand how they must have lived.
What is the oldest clam fossil?
A 507-year-old clam, found in the Icelandic seabed and named Ming, broke the Guinness World Record for the oldest animal when it was discovered in 2007.
How can you tell how old a clam fossil is?
Clams grow in seasons when the water is warm (April-October). You can count the growth rings like you would age a tree. Count the darkest rings, each ring represents 1 year. The small one was around 22 years old when it died, the larger one I can't accurately tell because it hasn't been preserved as well as the small one.
What geologic era was 65 million years ago?
The Cretaceous Period (146-65 million years ago)
Cretaceous-tertiary Extinction: 65 million Years Ago Scientists refer to the major extinction that wiped out non-avian dinosaurs as the K-T extinction because it happened at the end of the Cretaceous period and the beginning of the Tertiary period.
What began about 65 million years ago?
The Cenozoic Era began around 65 million years ago when the dinosaurs from the Mesozoic Era all became extinct and have not yet ended. Because 65 million years is a large amount of time, the Cenozoic Era is broken into smaller subsections known as periods.
Around 65 million years ago, something unusual happened on our planet.
We can see it in the fossil record.
Fossils that are abundant in earlier rock layers are simply not present in later rock layers.
A wide range of animals and plants suddenly died out, from tiny marine organisms to large dinosaurs.
Species go extinct all the time. Scientists estimate that at least 99.9 percent of all species of plants and animals that ever lived are now extinct. So the demise of dinosaurs like T. rex and Triceratops some 65 million years ago wouldn't be especially noteworthy—except for the fact that around 50 percent of all plants and animals alive at the same time also died out in what scientists call a mass extinction.
How cool is it that these clams might've been next to a T-Rex or some other dinosaurs at one point in time?

Fossil 37.2 - 30.8 Million Years Old Found in South Dakota White River Formation #treasure #viral
Early Mammal Fossil
Discovered in Western South Dakota, the White River Formation
Estimated Age is between 37.2 - 30.8 million years old, - Ealry Oligocene Epoch
It's an Early American Mammal Bone. This is believed to be a part of a lower forward left side jaw bone of a small deer. You can see the part of a tooth that is still in the jaw bone.
I have a European deer mount that I did last year, that I will use as a comparison. This is one of the coolest finds and one of my favorite pieces of treasure that I have.
The White River Formation is a vast area it's famous for its diverse and well-preserved mammal fossils that date from the late Eocene to early Oligocene.
Throughout the late 1800s and continuing today, scientists and institutions from all over the world have benefited from the fossil resources of the White River Badlands.
The Oligocene Epoch, right smack in the middle of the Tertiary Period, although it lasted a "short" 11 million years, several major changes occurred during this time.
These changes include the appearance of the first elephants with trunks, early horses, and the appearance of many grasses & plants that would produce extensive grasslands in the following epoch, which was the Miocene.
The White River Badlands are internationally famous for having the richest deposits of Oligocene mammals known today.

Rare Art Painting Found In Movie Stuart Little #treasure #rare #viral #shorts
Rare Art Treasure Found In Movie Stuart Little Missing Since 1928
Sleeping Lady with Black Vase is a 1927–1928 oil painting by Róbert Berény. It is a depiction of the painter's wife reclining asleep in a blue dress behind a table on which is set a black vase. The painting was sold in 1928 and was considered lost after World War II.
Art researcher Gergely Barki was watching the children’s film Stewart Little with his daughter Lola in 2009 when he thought he recognized one of the background ‘props’.
Upon closer inspection, he realized it was the missing masterpiece Sleeping Lady with Black Vase by 20th Century painter Robert Bereny.
Email to the film’s producers failed to produce any actionable leads for its recovery, but Barki persisted and contacted every crew member on the film for whom he could get an email address and was able to locate a set designer,
As Barki was soon to discover, the unnamed set designer had paid a mere $500 for the painting at an antique store. Now safely back in Hungary thanks to Barki’s efforts, the work is due to be sold at auction and carries a presale estimate of $240,000–$325,000.
After a long and tumultuous journey in which it changed hands several times, the painting was sold at auction for $285,700
Robert Bereny was a pinnacle figure in the early 20th-century art movement in Europe called the Group of Eights.
It is thought the Sleeping Lady with Black Vase was bought by a Jewish collector in Hungary in 1928, who then had to abandon it while fleeing the Nazis in the Second World War.

Baby Barn Swallows Want Food
Baby Barn Swallows (4 total) So Cute
What are some facts about baby swallows?
Baby swallows usually hatch in May. They start out inside creamy or pinkish-white eggs splotched and dotted with reddish and purplish brown, weighing about 2 grams. They live in the egg for about 2 weeks.
How long do Barn Swallow babies stay in the nest?
18-24 days
Eggs incubate between 13-17 days and fledge after 18-24 days. However, chicks return to the nest after fledging for several weeks before they leave the nest for good. Swallow nests are made out of mud pellets, hair, grass, and feathers.
How many Barn Swallow babies survive?
As soon as pin-feathers develop, both parents leave the nest to find food. Swallow parents to share feeding equally. Babies must be fed every 20 minutes from dawn to dusk, for over 12 hours every day. If one parent dies, only 2 babies survive!
What are 3 facts about swallows?
Swallow Bird Facts | Hirundo rustica - The RSPB
Key information. Swallows are small birds with dark, glossy-blue backs, red throats, pale underparts, and long tail streamers. They are extremely agile in flight and spend most of their time on the wing. They are widespread breeding birds in the Northern Hemisphere, migrating south in winter.
How long do swallows stay in one place?
A single nest may be occupied for up to two months, and birds may be present for up to 100 days at a large colony with multiple nests. The California Department of Fish and Game considers Feb. 15 to Sept. 1 the nesting season for enforcement purposes.
What do you do if you find a baby barn swallow?
Found a Baby Bird?!
It is just fine to touch them! Birds do not abandon their chicks if they happen to smell differently; that is a myth. If the nest is out of reach, be sure to put the baby out of harm's way and within sight of the nest, and mom will do the rest!
Do barn swallows return to the same nest every year?
Out My Backdoor: Barn Swallows Offer Unique Window into ...
Each year, about 44 percent of all barn swallows will return to nest in the same area they nested in the previous year. If the birds decide to renovate their old nest, they begin by throwing out and replacing old nesting material and adding more mud around the nest's rim.
Do barn swallows mate for life?
Do Swallows pair for life? Once established pairs stay together to breed for life, returning to the same breeding ground to raise their young, both sexes defending the nest with the male being very territorial.
What do baby barn swallows eat?
Insects
Diet. Insects. Feeds on a wide variety of flying insects, especially flies (including house flies and horse flies), beetles, wasps, wild bees, winged ants, and true bugs. Also eats some moths, damselflies, grasshoppers, and other insects, and a few spiders and snails.
How do you tell the difference between male and female barn swallows?
The female is similar in appearance to the male, but the tail streamers are shorter, the blue of the upper parts and breast band is less glossy, and the underparts paler. The juvenile is browner and has a paler rufous face and whiter underparts. It also lacks the long tail streamers of the adult.
Do barn swallows have diseases?
Barn Swallows Removal | Expert Pest Management
Barn swallows do carry diseases, including histoplasmosis, encephalitis, salmonella, cryptococcosis, and toxoplasmosis. These swallow illnesses are spread by contact with the swallow's feces, nest materials, and dead swallows.

Man vs MT Lion - What Would You Do?
Man vs Mountain Lion 🦁 Amazing Video. This is out of the norm for a wild mountain lion/cougar. Normally they stay far away from any human contact unless someone gets close to the cat's cubs. This Mountain Lion was extremely aggressive towards this man. The moment the cat lunges at the man, he could've been justified in taking out the threat. Both shoots on target missed and the cat realizes he has no chance and walks off. Both parties were unharmed in this encounter, though it could've been very different.
Fun Fact!
With powerful, long hind legs, mountain lions can jump 15 to 18 feet vertically and 30 to 45 feet horizontally
Human encounters with mountain lions are rare and the risk of an attack is infinitely small. You are more likely to drown in your bathtub, be killed by a pet dog, or be hit by lightning. If lions had any natural urge to hunt people, there would be attacks every single day. Instead, they avoid us.
By their nature, mountain lions like to give chase. If you run away, the mountain lion may chase you. To defend yourself, back away slowly, or stand your ground. Never take your eyes off a mountain lion. Always look directly at the animal to portray a strong, defiant demeanor, while keeping the animal engaged and defensive. Turning your head can signal that you're fleeing and put you in greater danger because a mountain lion can lunge in a split second.
If you ever have an encounter with a stalking mountain lion or if the mountain lion is acting aggressively or is moving in your direction, the park service recommends waving your arms slowly and speaking firmly in a loud voice. If looking bigger doesn't scare the mountain lion off, without crouching or turning your back, start throwing sticks, rocks, or other objects it's way. This can help intimidate and scare off the mountain lion. Don't aim for the head. This could blind the lion and make it more dangerous to you or others.

Lake St. George State Park Liberty, Maine Diving & Underwater Metal Detecting #mondaydigs
I was given permission to metal detect in the swimming area of Lake St. George State Park - Thank you Warren Dowling
Lake St. George State Park is a public recreation area located on the northwest shore of Lake St. George in the town of Liberty, Waldo County, Maine. The state park covers 358 acres and offers camping, lifeguard-supervised swimming, picnicking, canoeing, motorized boating, and fishing. The lake's 1,017 acres support populations of landlocked salmon and brook trout. The park is managed by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.
Lake St. George State Park has one of the cleanest swimming areas in the State of Maine (especially after I got done cleaning it out).
Lake St. George is a picturesque body of water located in southwestern Waldo County. A small state park encompasses a portion of the northwest shore. Numerous undeveloped islands are distributed throughout the main basin of the lake and contribute to a pleasurable fishing experience. The lake has an excellent boat launch and parking facility located off Route 3. Access to the lake is also gained at an unimproved launch near Marshall Shore.

Litter Kills Wildlife
Animals are innocent victims affected by litter every day. Researchers estimate that over one million animals die each year after ingesting, or becoming entrapped in, improperly discarded trash.
Plastic litter is the most common killer of animals, and marine animals are the most notably affected. Each year over 100,000 dolphins, fish, whales, turtles, and more drown after becoming entangled in or digesting plastic litter.
So Please Pickup After Yourself.

Wanna Kiss 💋 White Sucker Fish while Diving in Maine
This video was taken over a number of days and at a number of different locations in Maine while Diving & Underwater Metal Detecting. These are White Sucker Fish or Catostomus Commersoni these fish are commonly known as a "Sucker" due to their fleshy, papillose lips that suck up organic matter and aufwuchs from the bottom of rivers and streams.
Other common names for the White Sucker Fish include Bay Fish, Brook Sucker, Common Sucker, and Mullet.
When fully grown, it can reach lengths of 12–20 in (30–51 cm) and weigh 2–6 lb (0.91–2.72 kg).
The white sucker is able to use chemosensory to sense and avoid predators and other conspecific species during day and night.
The white sucker is a bottom feeder, meaning that it uses its fleshy lips to suck up bottom sediments and other organisms that may be located there. It will eat almost anything it can, but most commonly small invertebrates, algae, and plant matter.
A very common fish, the white sucker is usually not fished for food, though some consider it good to eat. It is most often used as bait, the young are sold as sucker minnows. When it is eaten by humans, it is usually processed and sold under the name of mullet.

Bullhead Hornpout while Diving & Metal Detecting
Bullhead Hornpout while Diving & Metal Detecting at Swan Lake State Park Swanville, Maine.
This is one of the weirdest and coolest fish to see underwater. It's a Catfish more specifically a Bullhead Hornpout or a mud cat. It lives on the bottoms of lakes, ponds, and slow-moving streams. It comes out at night to feed, vacuuming up worms, fish and fish eggs, insects, leeches, plants, crustaceans, frogs – you name it.
Adults have few predators thanks to the three venomous spines on their pectoral and dorsal fins. When deployed, the spines can do some serious damage, as any angler who treats the hornpout non-cavalier can tell you. I had 2 large Bullheads following me around and about 300 baby Bullheads, I'll show them off in another video coming up.
Another interesting fact about Bullhead Hornpouts they can breathe through their skin. Eats almost anything. Has a wickedly effective defense mechanism and is a really focused parent.
