If HB 411 passes, it means anyone from anywhere (any state, city, or district) can run for a school board seat, be voted in, and not have to live there until after they take office, and this will be for ALL of Florida. Chelsi Stahr, Cathy Julian, Erin Pike, and Rebecca Yeungling break down House Bill 411, "District School Board Elections," introduced by Kevin Steele. This bill removes the need for school board candidates to live within the boundaries of their district before they are elected. If passed, this bill will affect all of Florida, not just Pasco County. Very similar to the same issue during the last election between Stephen Meisman and Al Hernandez. Pasco County currently has three elected officials serving in office that do not live in their selected district. Yet, there is no punishment for doing so, even though it goes against their oaths. Public Comments from the Oct. 18th, 2022, Pasco County School Board Meeting. About a year ago, the School Board started employing 4-8 police officers to search and frisk parents as they came to attend meetings; they did this to intimidate anyone wanting to speak against the school board members - It didn't work. So, a month ago, they began using a new intimidation tactic during the school board meetings. At the beginning of the "Public Comments" section, ALL STAFF MEMBERS get up and leave EXCEPT THE SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS AND SUPERINTENDANT. Again, sending a clear message that WHAT YOU SAY AS A PARENT OR CITIZEN DOESN'T MATTER - you don't matter, and your voices must be silenced! Pasco County School Board Public Comments, Oct. 4th, 2022, 9:30 am The School Board is confronted by many parents asking why they have allowed school staff to make blatantly false allegations against a Pasco Parent and First Responder, Shawn Hayston. Why did the entire school board and Superintendant Browning refuse to ask Mr. Hayston any questions about the incident? And why did school staff attempt to have Shawn removed from his job as a Hillsborough Fireman for simply asking questions that the Pine Valley Middle School Principal Jennifer Warren didn't want to answer? Why does the School Board continually refuse to answer emails from concerned parents? Whether it's about board members denying legislation, homeless convicted pedophiles camping outside unsafe neighborhood bus stops, or Teachers writing to outside sources to get their voices heard - they refuse to answer questions. Steve Meisman is fighting to hold our elected officials accountable to the rule of law. Steve is suing the other two candidates who made it through the Primary election because he believes they did not live in their district on the qualifying day. One of his fellow candidates even admitted in the Tampa Bay Times that he did not live in his district at the time of qualifying. Steve has also included elections officials who did not follow the rules and accepted P.O. Boxes as a legal home address for the other candidates which did not prove District one residency, as stated in the election rules. People winning elected office and NOT living in their district has been an ongoing issue in many counties nationwide, not just in Pasco. Enough is enough - elected officials must do their job correctly or be removed. This lawsuit is exceptionally costly for the Meisman family, and Steve is just a regular guy and business owner who wants justice for everyone. Steve Meisman's suit will set case law throughout Florida for years to come. Steve is fighting to hold our elected officials accountable to the rule of law. The Pasco County School board has conspired with law enforcement and county commissioners to try and get three parents fired for daring to speak out against the school board. This is the story of one of those parents, Shawn Hayston. STICKER SHOCK: Pasco County School Board Meeting on Sept. 12th, 2022 Part 2 Public Comments from Pasco Co. Citizens This meeting was extremely long! This highlight roll shows the responses from students and community members as they speak out against the removal of the school board safe space stickers in accordance with the Parental Bill of Rights. The Parental Bill of Rights restricts the use of sexual, religious, or gender ideologies before third grade. For example, not having pornographic books in school libraries and not using pronouns to describe teachers or students in school. It also talks about not teaching CRT. She chides the board for the sticker removal and tells them they need to do better. This was the end. The board members extended comments so everyone could speak. It was a very long day for them.

Pasco County School Board Meeting Aug. 30th, 2022, 6:00 pm 09:00 Chelsi Stahr - Talking about injustices done to parents and visitors to Pasco County Schools and Board meetings. She re-writes Neola Policy 9150 to match the board's illegal actions. 2:56 Alycia Anderson - Both of her sons were badly abused by teachers and students in the Pasco school system, and the School Board did nothing. She now has a report from the police saying how the charges are substantiated. 6:05 Kayden Anderson - Comes to look the board members in the eye to ask them why they stood by and did nothing. His school record is keeping him from his dreams, and they continue to do nothing. 9:06 Myndee Washington - A teacher in Pasco talking about how a teacher was fired from her job as a kindergartner teacher because of her LGBTQ beliefs. 11:55 Lily Zu - A student at LOL HS talking about bad conditions and asking for support with a bill. 14:21 Terri Belido - Talks about the horrible experience her children and grandchildren received in Pasco county Schools. She tells the board they are failures and that our kids need more. 17:30 Luis - An angry father who has contacted the board several times with no response. So he shows up telling the board members how dangerous it is for his young kids to make the 1.5-mile walk, to the bus stop, in the dark, with no lights and no crosswalk, on a busy street. He tells Browning that he's sick of the excuses and that the buck stops with him. If he can't do the job, leave and get someone else who can. 19:52 Rebecca Yeungling - Asking why the Pasco school kids only have 25% passing in reading and 50% of kids passing in math. Also, she asks why the board spent an extra $500K on Eureka Math books when they are Common Core and illegal in Florida! 22:56 Tori Tiffany - A mother who is fed up with inappropriate murals, safe space stickers, Gender ideology, and the use of CRT and SEL in our schools! 24:00 Cathy Julian - Speaks to the fact that if any of the taxpayers had an idea about how bad the board members were at their job, they would never win. Cynthia Armstrong kicks off her PCSB Re-Election campaign at the VFW. She is hit with many questions.
