Dwarf Fortress by Teemo

The saga of Cageboot continues: a force of vile darkness finally shows up and are dealt with. The losses to wildlife have become too much, so we begin to pack up all operations to move underground. And we try to find a spot for our bees. Episode ends on a cliffhanger. Welcome back, please leave comments with any questions you may have while watching.

We continue the playthrough for Cageboot. The battle against the wilderness continues, our ducks are masacred by an unknown force, but we start a fishing industry to replace the eggs we've lost. A hospital is founded. We barely miss creation of the Farmer's guildhall we promised and we make a couple more temples along with much more.

We're now on to the 4th installment of Dwarf Fortress, fort #1 with Teemo. We set up our first guild hall, we set up our first noble with quarters, we get a marksdwarf squad up and running along with a warhammer squad. The marksdwarf squad gets an irregular shaped barracks on the walls of the duck pen. And during all of this, the wildlife tries its best to slaughter all of the dwarves, many of them succeed. Casualties grow in Cageboot.

In this tutorial I'll go over the new labor menu that came with the steam release. Hopefully it will be a bit easier to use after watching this. If you have any questions, please toss them in the comments and I'll get to them.

On to episode 3 of my Dwarf Fortress series. I continue the Dwarf Fortress game from where we left off in episode 1. More depth on what was started previously, in addition you'll see some new mechanics in episode 2: Military training/assigning/ordering, beekeeping industry, building temples, more on wall/outdoor construction, more in depth fortress defense discussion, attracting more migrants and working towards mountainhome.

I start a brand new Dwarf Fortress embark to show how to create a world, embark to a location, and start setting up basic necessities. I will be continuing this game as I have time. First episode you get to see mining, chopping trees, egg collection, bridge use with levers, management screens, advanced stockpile techniques, fortress design, trap placement, gem industry, trading, some diplomacy, housing setup and the start of a metal industry and farming industry. Along with whatever else you get from seeing gameplay with someone comfortable with the game.

Marksdwarves are a very buggy bunch and I show you how to create a squad and get it to train with the steam release. One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that you don't need to add quivers and ammo to your uniform, they come automatically when you select crossbows as weapons.
