Shockingly Nice Schindler 330A Hydraulic Elevators - 15110 John J Delaney Drive (Charlotte, NC)
It takes a lot for me to film a 330A now a days unless I run out of ideas, so this place must've done something right. These are some surprisingly nice 330A's with shiny cabs, 2 COP's in each cab, 2 seperate elevators (despite only having 2 floors), and they run relatively quick with good running quality! Did I just find a good set of 330A's worth a damn?! It takes a lot for me to like these; so good on this place for getting me to check these out all the way!

EPIC Vintage Park Hydraulic Elevator - Providence Center (Charlotte, NC)
Wow, I didn't have much hope for this old building to have anything original, but I was wrong. We got a pretty awesome 3rd Party with GAL fixtures. It features a large cab, a unique floor indicator, and the good ol Black Buttons! Minus the slight rough stops and creaking, this thing is pure awesome!

Okay, wasn't expecting the EPCO Slap On at all. Makes it a bit more interesting considering this is only the 2nd time I've seen EPCO Haloline. The slap on likely happened sometime in the 1980's or 1990's if I had to guess. This runs rough, sadly.

These are more cursed MAD Modded Schindler Hydros. These are not 300A's as these were put in around 1992. These more than likely had "RT" fixtures.

Okay, wtf is this? These were quite literally modded a month before this was filmed. It recieved a MAD mod, but not a full mod as it is still on the same machinery and controller, with the Westy Chime in tact, too. What and why is this mod? Could run better, too. Unimpressive Otis Gen2 Traction Elevators - Providence Plaza (Charlotte, NC)
To avoid confusion as there are 2 different Providence Plazas in Charlotte, this is the Providence Road location.
These are nothing to write home about. They don't run the best either. My favorite part is the top floor opens up to a front desk. lol
NOTE: An official Otis document does list these fixtures as "Series 6", so I'm going with that name (as well as Standard) from now on. This was filmed before I knew this fact. Epic & FAST Thyssenkrupp Evolution 200 MRL Traction Parking Elevators - The Line (Charlotte, NC)
Please excuse the GPS fail towards the end.
While browsing on Loopnet and the NC Records, I came across this place called The Line. It is a mixed use shops and office building. I did a bit of looking around and found out that these have TK Elevators. My suspicions were later confirmed when I visited that these were, in fact, Evolutions!
I only got to the garage ones since the office section is supposedly private and I didn't want any trouble, but that's fine with me. The other ones were more Evolutions with 1 extra floor to serve and only go 350 FPM. I kinda prefer these anyway, because these are FAST and SMOOTH elevators. Sure the cabs are a bit boring as expected, but these are rockets! 500 FPM for 8 FLOORS! That right there makes more exciting than I was expecting. These run great and feel super smooth, albeit a bit weird feeling still for me personally, but I don't mind all that much due to it's uniqueness. It's definitely TKE's most unique MRL Traction model and I can see why these are hyped up! These are pure awesome!

Replacement Schindler Traction Elevators - The Addison (Charlotte, NC)
While the debate about these being "700A's" or not still rolls on to this very day, from the Wayback Machine, these Schindler Tractions were not called "700A's" at all. They were dubbed as "Miconic Controls", which is an odd (and dumb) name for an elevator model.
While the building was built in 1926 as an apartment building, it was turned into an office building in the 1990's. The overhaul started in 1996, which also included the installation of this set of 2 elevators. These may have replaced something good, but I'm not sure what.
These run pretty well and quite fast. The VMI replacements suck though.

Pointless Otis Hydraulic P2 Elevator - Metropolitan At Midtown Garage (Charlotte, NC)
Here is a lone Otis slapped in the middle of the parking garage, right behind the main set of 2 Otis Gen2's in this parking garage. Only difference is that this is a Hydraulic Install, not traction. Not only is this elevator slower than the Gen2's, but it's the only elevator in this part of the garage, rendering it a completely pointless install. And as par for the course for this era of Otis Hydros, this elevator doesn't run good either.

BRAND NEW 2023 Otis Gen3 MRL Traction Elevators - Embassy Suites (Asheville, NC)
Right here is my first elevator video filmed in 2024, and we start off the year with some New Gen3s. I knew these would be here since they were uploaded to the NC Records site, which is dissapointing as they could've gone with a different MRL system here. Oh well.
This hotel opened towards the beginning of the new year and still is somewhat under construction despite being open to the public. These are pretty standard Gen3's, but they do run pretty well. I do like the Lobby Panel and how Series 1-esque it looks.

RIP: Dover SPF & MAD Modded Dover Traction Elevators - Omni Grove Park Inn (Asheville, NC)
After seeing TJElevatorFan's video on this set, I had to get down there to see these one last time. These Dover Impulse SPF's are getting pointlessly modded with a MAD Mod by Asheville Elevators. I'm disappointed in them for pointlessly modding these as besides some rough stops (which was likely an easy fix), there is absolutely no need to mod these. They do maintain a lot of classic elevators (like good ol' 70 Woodfin), so seeing them mod something not that old is a bit of a letdown.
I rode an OG Car and then a Modded Car. So what about the modded car(s)? I'm not impressed. MAD is not a fixture Asheville Elevators uses (they tend to use PTL now), and they chose the worst fixture possible for these. The New COP's do not blend in at all, they already sound a bit questionable on the outside, and it even has the "Gaing Ap" MAD Voice Pack too. The only interesting thing is that these also have the Internal MAD Chimes, but both that and the voice are very silent. The Internal chimes are only sounded by calling the elevator. The newer cabs do seem to run a bit better (for now), but overall I'm not too pleased with this mod.
