first part is a single layer, second part is a double layer giving double the voltage but same amperage, (something I need to replicate later and show both) the issue is that this is done by solute in a dried polystyrene and thus breaks down too easily in direct sunlight, so in a future test a UV protection and intermolecular structure for doping will be attempted like making polyethylene with interruptions of some dopant like boron, or phosphorus to create the layers and hopefully get the depletion zone needed, if all works we could have both a flexible cell and one that can scale up by reuse of photons as they are re-released from the interaction, and recaptured in additional layers, increasing the efficiency.

see the other video of a single unit as this is just a mockup of a ganged group of those units for increasing the amount of solar power being focused to one single point and held at that point most of the day as the sun rises and sinks in the sky, as well as adjusting each day for the seasonal changes of the arc of the sun.

a simplified version for both a lower material part build count and less time to complete, however it requires a fixed distance for the reflected target furnace as it allows for whole arrays already designed for this distance, to adjust themselves as the day and season changes.

think broken segments of a fresnel lens to allow one that can change the direction it focuses the light passing from it, and that is what we have here, to make a custom heliostat type design, to use solar power for a fueless furnace that is scalable to higher and higher temps by adding more solar power to the same point.
