Suzanne uses an analogy to make things clear about the dangers children face in the library.

Why is the library director resisting to produce a list of new books purchased by taxpayer dollars? Are they afraid of being caught purchasing dirty books for children with public money?

A local North Idaho resident describes the path that pornography will send children down if they keep pushing the sexually explicit books on minors.

A chilling perspective on how sexually explicit children's books are used to groom minors. These books are a tool that lowers their guard and recruits children into child sex abuse.

"I want you to be encouraged that the majority that elected you stand with you, trustees, who believe that tax-funded materials harmful to minors should be prohibited."

She was disappointed at how inappropriate the children's books were. She started seeking out positive books, but these books were often in remote libraries. "Eventually we stopped coming to the library."

Will the new conservative CLN board restore the safe library experience we had when we were children, free from sexually explicit content?

Becky describes how often times parents can naively trust the library when there are dangers in the room. It's the labelling. She gives examples where parents use guides to help them.

Wendy shares with the public all the other states that have cut ties with the ALA. She is in support of a revised materials selection policy and has read the CLN's draft materials selection policy. "It is timely."

Citizens are noticing the failed CLN candidates attending meetings and are concerned these former trustees might be on a revenge spree. Will a pattern emerge proving Suzanne correct? Is there a shadow CLN board hellbent on destroying the libraries due to an election loss?

While the CLN Alliance targets one board member, questions arise if separation from the ALA dodged future legal issues over viewpoint discrimination by queering the catalog. Was the board's concern, supported by the community in 2022, valid?

North Idaho separates from the ALA at a time when the ALA has a self-described Marxist president leading the troubled organization.

Heather thanks the CLN Board and puts the ALA situation into an historic context.

Those who expressed their support to raise taxes for the library were encouraged to make a personal donation instead of circumventing the will of the voter.

In the August 18th CLN board meeting, the community finally hears board discussion over the child groomer sex books and related policy. Some in the community had waited years for serious discussion.

The community discovers that the CLN Library Director, Alexa Eccles, first floated the idea of closing libraries on Sunday due to low turnout and a savings of $27,800. The board votes to take legal advice on this issue. There were many interruptions from the crowd, including Hayden City Council member, Ed Depriest.
