The Metroid Thumper

Finally we come to the end of the game. Note that the thumbnail is actually a shot from the Dolphin HD texture mod playthrough as a way to flip both birds at the switch version devs for uglifying Samus in the 75% ending. >:( Thanks for watching.

After 2 long years, I finally managed to record another part by switching to the lame-ass switch version. (I say its lame because in addition to keeping all the changes from the Wii/PAL GCN version they also fubared the Chozo Ruins and Samus's head and neglected to add various quality-of-life improvements including the option to hide the crosshair.) In this part I get all the remaining items with the exception of the last two missile expansions in the Tallon Overworld because I got those early in the rest of my unrecorded switch version playthrough. (Remember I was unable to record the rest of the original Dolphin playthrough due to technical complications. Recording the rest on the Switch is the only way this playthrough can be finished.)

The first part of my Playthru of the original GCN NTSC North American version of Metroid Prime on the Dolphin in full HD 16:9 1080p resolution 1920x1080 with the HD textures mod, played with a Duke. This first part goes up to the first save station in the Chozo Ruins.

We regain all but one of our lost upgrades and clean the toxic water.

Infiltrating the Space Pirate facility.

Indigenous bioforms pursue us at every turn. Space Pirates search the land for any hint of our passage. When the going gets tough, the tough reach for bigger guns.

After getting the Spider Ball from a rock monster, we return to the Chozo Ruins to get the Ice Beam and encounter the Turned.

Isaac Newton discovered gravity by sitting under an apple tree. We'll discover it deep in the frozen depths of Phendrana Drifts guarded by Jelzaps and Aqua Reapers. Seems like Newton got the better end of the deal.

Time to find the Omega Pirate and put him down.

This was shown at the year 2000 game show. (Not E3.) Although only 9 seconds long, it was enough to show the First Lady of Gaming was returning.
