Red Sea Crossing on the Atari 2600 - The Holy Grail of Atari Games! - Pointless History - Episode 10
On this holiday episode of Pointless History, we talk about one of the rarest, if not, the rarest Atari 2600 game of all time! Red Sea Crossing! A Bible Video Game based off the Crossing of the Red Sea Story (it’s supposed to be called the “Reed Sea”, poor translation from Greek to English, ANYWAY!). The gameplay is on par with any mediocre Atari game of its time, but the aftermath and rarity of this game make it the Holy Grail of Atari 2600 Games, as well as an incredible story to tell around the yule log! Happy Holidays & Happy New Years!

Berzerk - The Killer Video Game! - Pointless History - Episode 9
On this episode of Pointless History, we cover the history and debunk the legend of the cursed video game, Berzerk. This is a classic arcade game about a human lost in a maze and defending itself from robots, electrocuted walls, and the indestructible enemy, Evil Otto, who supposedly caused unfortunate events to happen. Is that true about this innocent video game? You'll find out on this episode of Pointless History.

Just a little warning. At 0:30, I perform a stunt where I rode a skateboard down a hill, hit a curb, and did a front-flip landing on grass, almost breaking my ass (did not mean to make those last few lines rhyme 😂). What I'm trying to say is, DO NOT TRY AND PERFORM THAT STUNT AT HOME! It can cause serious injuries and possibly death. Please do not do it.
On this episode of Pointless History, I'll go over the history of the very first signature skateboarding sneakers, the Half Cabs by Vans, as well as a brief history of how Vans started, Steve Caballero's involvement with Vans, the evolution of the Half Cabs, and the Half Cabs today. This video is in tribute to Paul Van Doren who passed away earlier in the year. God Rest his soul!
Want to give a special shoutout and thank you to Ryan Gordon for making background music for this episode and Justin Guerrieri for the VoiceOver help! Much appreciated guys!

DEVO's Satisfaction Guitar Follow Up - The Famous Duct Tape Guitar - Pointless History - Episode 5

On this episode of Pointless History, we do a follow up to the very first episode about the Satisfaction Guitar played by Mark Mothersbaugh of DEVO. There were multiple Satisfaction guitars, but what remains the same is Mark keeps duct taping and attaching guitar pedals (or stompboxes, whatever you would like to call them) to his electric guitars. There are some new discoveries and new info about these guitars that I either failed to mention in the first episode or found out later on after the episode was published. From different guitars, discovering unknown pedals, and even guitars before Mark started covering them with duct tape and pedals. Some info that answers some questions, and then some info that brings us close yet far to the answer, but still unknown. Enjoy this episode of Pointless History on the follow up of DEVO's Satisfaction Guitar.
Update: The mystery guitar at 7:23 is a Supro Super Seven( thanks to "one remains" for the info!), and at 7:25 is actually a Fender Musicmaster (thanks to G L Wilson for the info!)

We discuss the short film that inspired to make this movie, to the making of Napoleon Dynamite, and some trivia, because the history is short, and I have to fill the video up and at a good length 😂.

This is a new series called Pointless History where I tell you exactly what the title says. This episode is about DEVO's Satisfaction Guitar. DEVO is an new wave band known for their hit song "Whip It" from 1980. Not a lot of people know (unless you're a Hardcore DEVO Fan) that they have other songs, like Uncontrollable Urge, That's Good, Girl U Want, Freedom of Choice, Gut Feeling, the list goes on. They have also, bravely I should add, covered some songs like Don't Be Cruel, Secret Agent Man, It Takes A Worried Man, and their famous mutated cover of (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction. The leader singer, Mark Mothersbaugh, has a history of guitars with pedals duct taped to them when covering this song. This is the Pointless History of the Satisfaction Guitar. Enjoy!
NOTE: I AM NOT GETTING PAID TO MAKE THIS VIDEO. IT IS ALL FOR FUN AND INSTRUCTIONAL REASONS!
