DCS P-47 Thunderbolt: Normandy 2.0: Custom Mission: Airfield Attack
Somewhere over France, 194X. Two flights of P-47's escorted by a flight of P-51's attack a small forward airfield during a beach invasion.
Just a really quick and dirty custom mission on the new Normandy map. I have zero warbird experience, but I hope to do a lot more of these. I find these far more rewarding than spamming missiles at symbols on a radar screen.

DCS P-47 Thunderbolt : Normandy 2.0 Performance Testing Pt.2 (AMD R7 5800x3d RX 6950XT)
Another spin around Paris in 1944. Game play recording, external shots taken in real time.
External views around the Eiffel Tower have the biggest performance hit so I start there. Once I fly out towards the airfield, you get a better idea of what the rest of the map is like.
System Specs: As per video

I dropped the resolution down to 1920x1080 for this video for a more common metric. I also completely unrestrained the frame rate. I usually cap it to 64fps when I play, but that does not give the full picture for testing purposes.
I am using OBS for the recording and set it to CPU h.264 for this session to let DCS use the most of the GPU. When using the GPU hardware for recording, the frame times are much smoother.

DCS Custom Mission Testing: F5E CAP Full Sortie
It has been a while since I have flown the F5, I am a little rusty. Also practicing air combat without labels. I don't know how people get good at that. I can't see but two things, Jack and ####. Especially using Super Resolution. It looks better that way, but I think I am handicapping myself as those pixels are harder to see using it.
I did manage to kill 3 and it is good practice though.
That landing though... yikes.
Any landing you can walk away from I guess, right?

DCS Custom Mission Testing: UH-1H Huey Pilot Rescue 2
Still working out the bugs with the mission. The enemy troops never consistently attack when the Huey lands and the door gunners are just as buggy.
I added blue carrier ops and a red carrier strike back into the mission now that we have the new multi threading update. It seems to handle the extra units much better now. Next I am going to add the large ground battle back in. Once done, there should be a lot of different mission types to run in the same battle.
Since SSAA does not seem to work with the MT update so I am forcing super resolution through the Adrenalin software. I think it actually looks better this way. Also, These videos are recorded @1080/60fps, but they are only showing up at 720 on rumble for some reason. I will see if I can get sorted.
I still have a lot more testing to do, but I still need a lot more Huey practice as well. Just killing two birds with one stone as the say.
