RIPPLE THE COMPANY THAT WILL CHANGE THE WORLD OF PAYMENTS
Ripple is a real-time gross settlement system (RTGS), currency exchange and remittance network created by the Ripple company. Also called the Ripple Transaction Protocol (RTXP) or Ripple protocol, it is built upon a distributed open source internet protocol, consensus ledger and the decentralized native digital asset is known as XRP. Released in 2012, Ripple purports to enable "secure, instantly and nearly free global financial transactions of any size with no chargebacks." It supports tokens representing fiat currency, cryptocurrency, commodity or any other unit of value such as frequent flier miles or mobile minutes. At its core, Ripple is based around a shared and public database or ledger, which uses a consensus process that allows for payments, exchanges and remittance in a distributed process.
The network can operate without the Ripple company. Among its validators are companies, internet service providers, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Used by companies such as UniCredit, UBS and Santander, Ripple has been increasingly adopted by banks and payment networks as settlement infrastructure technology, with American Banker explaining that "from banks' perspective, distributed ledgers like the Ripple system have a number of advantages over cryptocurrencies like bitcoin."
As of early June 2018, XRP is the third largest coin by market capitalization.

Understanding the Technology Behind XRPL Payments
A video that visualizes payments on the XRPL (XRP Ledger) might showcase a digital ledger system where transactions are made using XRP, the native cryptocurrency of the XRPL. The video could show how payments are initiated by a sender who specifies the amount of XRP they want to send, as well as the recipient's XRP wallet address.
As the video demonstrates the transaction, viewers can see how the XRP ledger records each transaction as a series of interconnected "blocks" or "ledgers," forming a chain of transactions. The video could also illustrate how transactions on the XRPL are confirmed and settled in real-time, enabling almost instant cross-border payments with low fees.
The video may use a combination of animations, diagrams, and real-world examples to help viewers understand the technology behind the XRPL and how it works in practice. It may also touch on some of the unique features of the XRPL, such as its consensus algorithm and its ability to support smart contracts and other advanced features. Overall, the video could serve as an informative and engaging introduction to the world of payments on the XRPL.
