CJRB Crag: SUPER [Steel], BARGAIN [Price]?
Hi all, Graydog here, back with another knife review. This one surprised me a lot. The CJRB Crag is an inexpensive knife but it has some features that are usually found on higher end knives. The steel alone is worth more exploration, as I had never dealt with AR-RPM9 before encountering this knife. Edge holding and cutting was way better than other knives in the same range of cost. I am now wanting to try out this steel in some other knife besides the Crag. CJRB and their parent company, Artisan Cutlery, are putting out some interesting offerings that won't crush your bank account.

Magpul MBUS 3: Do you NEED backup sights?
Hey all, Graydog here. In this video I discuss options for backup sights, including whether you need them or not. I also get into the features and benefits of the next generation of Magpul sights, the Magpul MBUS 3. If you don't have the time, money, or ammunition to get the sights fully zeroed, I'm going to give you an easy way to get really close, which you may choose to do even if you are going to the range later to zero your iron sights. There are certainly more expensive sights out there, as well as heavier sights, but the Magpul MBUS 3 sights offer a really good amount of function and durability for the price.

Retention Ring: Don't Lose It!
Hey all, Graydog here. I just got a few Retention Rings to try out, and thus far they are quite useful. Certainly you can use them in a tactical environment with your flashlight, but they are also useful for zipper pulls or anything that you might have a difficult time getting 'hold of. These will be especially helpful if you're wearing gloves, and the thicker the glove, the better these will help you out. I envision these being useful in a camping environment as well. The uses are endless and I'm pretty happy with these.

Rifle Armor and YOU: Low and High BUDGET Options!
Hi All, Graydog here. You may be an old pro at armor, or you may just now be considering getting into it, but there are a few considerations when it comes to choosing the proper armor to stop rifle threats. Obviously price is a serious concern, but weight and ratings still don't tell the entire story. I want something that will reliably stop AR-15 and AK-47 rounds, as well as common hunting calibers. I'm less worried about .30-06 AP, although with my luck watch me go and get smoked by some kid with some black tip and a Garand. But seriously, here's a breakdown of the types of armor that I own and why, as well as the ones that I don't bother with. Hopefully this will give you some idea of what to get if you're in the market!

Budget-Friendly Powerhouse: The Alternative to Roland Special FULL BUILD!
When the Roland Special came out, it really started to change the way that people configured pistols. It ushered in a new age where people not just tried, but embraced such additions as optics, lights, and compensators. That was 2015, and a lot has changed since then. Of course, you can still order a complete one from ATEi today, for over $2000. There may be better options on the market now, especially in terms of the specified items. Newer and lower cost optics, lights, and compensators are readily available.
In this video I outline out how I built a "Fauxland Special," or however you want to call it, and I did it for under $1000. Quite a bit under $1000, to be exact. And because Youtube is going to Youtube, I've included a link here in the description to my blog, where you can see all of the links and build it yourself, if you wish!
