Minuet from the Suzuki Cello Book Volume 3
In this video, we dive into Minuet from Suzuki Cello Book 3 by Boccherini. This Minuet piece offers a variety of challenges and interesting elements, including trills, key shifts, repetition, and marked directions.
We start by exploring the first few measures, emphasizing the shift to the second position and the fingerings to follow. The transition from G to A is particularly important to mark.
As we progress, we practice different sections, such as measures 1 to 3 and 4, working on the shift and fingerings. We continue through the piece, paying attention to dynamics and trills.
Moving forward, we focus on the trio section, breaking down the rhythm and counting to ensure accuracy. Remember that rhythm can be a bit tricky, and it's essential to stay on track.
We revisit the trio section, emphasizing the rhythmic aspect, and then continue through to the end. We also discuss the repeats and navigation through the piece.
