Gedonia 1.37a: frozen temple softlock problem
If the explosive bugs die too quickly it doesn't count toward the objective. The next group of enemies only spawn after the objective is filled. The result is a softlock where you can't get to the next wave and you can't get rewards for what you've completed so far.

Gedonia 1.35: assassinating the citadel of evil
I cheated a bit to get stage 3 daggers of madness. It's possible to get them this early, all you need is to reach level 45 and pay 10k for a living weapon husk to get the stage 1 pair of daggers of madness. After that it's just a matter of grinding through enemies to rank up the daggers.
I forgot to pick up the quest at the expedition camp before recording and didn't want to do it over again. All you're missing is a custscene where the big portal shuts off.
Dagger rogue is a lot stronger now. Not so strong as to be the best build, or even in the top 10% of strong builds. It's close to average. All the pure warriors and warrior-like builds that were average or stronger fell off compared to the current endgame content with the northern kingdoms because of how the new enemies work. What makes daggers better than pretty much all of those builds is two simple things: a lot of ways to be invincible, and quick burst damage.
What about the frozen temple? It's very buggy still. I want to make videos of running it on different builds but it keeps softlocking.

Gedonia 1.35: templar completes a trial
Trials are kind of like expeditions. They reset to be playable again when the game's resources resets, just like expeditions, after 2 hours. This is also a small showcase of my updated templar build since enchant weapon was nerfed pretty severely but justly. Now I can apply blue runes to enchant weapon for the chance to triple shot without feeling overpowered for the first shot killing everything in 1 hit.
Since templar still gets bonuses to all schools of magic except arcane, templar gets a massive arsenal of spells for a constant barrage of high damage in huge areas. It's basically playing a 6int mage while everyone else is stuck with 4 or less.

Gedonia 1.35: showcasing the new trials
There's a few of these stones around the northern kingdom. Some of the dungeons have one. You can spend some of the new items to improve the difficulty and rewards. You can do each trial once, until the regular reset every 2 hours. These trials are like expeditions.
There's a bunch of new jewelry items. You can get them from expeditions and trials. I haven't found any new jewelry for archers yet. Maybe one day.

Gedonia 1.35: finally showcasing archer in the arcane realm
Quivers with infinite ammo are finally here. Before, archers had to craft their own arrows. You had to mine ore to craft into arrows almost as long as you'd be able to go fight things just to keep up with how many arrows you'd be using. Now it's all about multishot blasts. There's also a couple nice new passives to make archer better. This build follows my usual rule for the runic forge of capping myself at 100 runes for all attributes, but this character's skills are mostly around 50 or less per attribute. I haven't used any runes since the update and the damage output is at least twice as much compared to before the update.
For a long time archery in this game was one of the worst possible builds and the only builds weaker than archer were other agility builds. I don't know about those other builds, but archer now is pretty strong in the lategame and onward.

Gedonia 1.22a: dark knight vanquishes ancient realm
This new armor set gives a bunch of set bonuses but most of them are useless. Health drain having no cast time is cool, but it does so little damage that you only need it if you're getting hit for some reason. Shadowwave without healing your summons is worse in all ways than just shooting lasers with enchant weapon. Bone serpent moves too slow and has too little range to attack, by the time it reaches an enemy I've already melted it with lasers. The dark pact buff is so negligibly tiny that even if I could afford ten summons to crunch with dark pact, my overall attack would barely increase by 10% for only two minutes. It's still a cool looking armor set that gives a little more dark magic damage than templar.

Gedonia: satisfying ground-pounding
This is one of the worst objectives for expeditions. If only I had the power to collect a mushroom to grow larger and wear overalls. That would solve all my problems.

Gedonia: crusher warrior spins to win in the arcane realm
This build has a lot of runes and all equipment is fully upgraded. I don't know why throw weapon doesn't pull other nearby enemies most of the time, but it's still sometimes useful for small groups to demolish with powerful strikes. Why does this build have charisma? Bard to heal myself, and one companion to also heal me.
There's a cut toward the end because I still can't remember where the two bosses and the one cube in the lower area are. I keep getting lost and running around the whole realm, only to find out I could've gone the other direction at the start of dropping down for a shorter route.

Gedonia: the redemption of Scoundrel
I still don't have all his jewelry enchanted yet but with how many runes I've poured into his skills that probably doesn't matter. There's still plenty more runes I could apply and that triple attack chance annihilates these bosses instantly. I still don't know if I should enchant jewelry for physical or magic damage to improve these spellsword attacks, I can just go get more red runes to make the difference negligible. This is the glow up Scoundrel deserved.

Gedonia: templar battles specters
This is a very brief sample showing a warrior + mage build with the templar armor set, which gives massive magic resistance and enhances the two warrior skills that support a spellsword playstyle. When I first tried this build out the damage output and survivability rivaled my dagger rogue, with this build not having any runes at the runic forge yet while my dagger rogue has a lot of runes. In this video I applied some runes to some of the skills shown here.
Special thanks to Graysteel on the Discord for the motivation to plan this build out. It's a lot of fun.

Gedonia: mystical musician exterminates ancient realm
I'm thinking of renaming Sidmir as Tussler, but I don't know what I'd change Jordan's name to. Fussler? Bustler? Neuromuscular? He deserves better than that.
I added some merchant mods for this game so far. The best one is the rune merchant so I can make use of all the gold I get from selling junk from expeditions, both the non-rune stuff in the chest and drops from the monsters. It's kind of cheating but it's only about +0.2% damage per rune after the first few that I already earned without any cheating so it's pretty negligible.
Are you interested in this game yet? It's pretty good.

Gedonia: necromancer enters the bard maestro dungeon
The skeletons are cool and all, but I prefer Hustler's direct approach to magic. I also don't want to deal with the mana drain of using energy ball for necromancy if they're going to quickly die and I'll have to resummon them anyway. It's still fun to play a different kind of bard mage where I don't have to juggle status effects.

Gedonia: mystical musician fights the same dragon
To be fair to Scoundrel, this character is at the level cap and is using highly optimized equipment except for extra damage bonus enchantments on jewelry that I'm still trying to collect material to make. Magic also has the advantage of being able to triple its base damage in exchange for spending more mana.
Bard is fun. Elemental magic is always stuck with either linear attacks that need enemies to line up for you, or you're forced to stand still for a second while enemies run up to squish you, or enemies dodge to completely waste your spell. Bard gets to freely move, have big area attacks, and applies buffs to yourself and any companions you have.

Gedonia: knight battles dragon
This character's build isn't very specialized or optimized yet. I still have him wearing kainite armor. At least I somehow managed to beat the warrior and holy monastery faction epic quests to get some good jewelry and weapons.
If you don't know what this game is, it's similar to Witcher 3 and some other open world high fantasy games where there's wizards, giant snakes, and dungeons. The hardest part is figuring out allocate your character's base stats during initial creation, so your first character will probably be a rough experience but after that the early game and how you plan for your character to work in higher levels will be a lot smoother.
